- Waylon Jennings "Thanks to the Cathouse (I'm in the Doghouse With You)" from a demo that I got from a friend. I think this was recorded in the late 1970's
Song written by Frank Saulino , Jim Valentini and Max D. Barnes. - Hudba
I met Mr. Jennings back when I was 8 yrs. old, In Knoxville, TN. We talked about so much in those few minutes. Later on when I was 24, I met him again. Mr. Jennings remembered me. We talked for hours, with his wife and his son Shooter. This happened, about 3 or 4 yrs, before he passed. I miss him.
We all do.
Cool.
Done picked up a lesbian lot lizard, oh no!
I would have loved to talked to WAYLON
Yup I met him a few times too 🖕
Dam I've never heard this before love this
Miss you Waylon 😔
Mr paycheck would be proud to hear ol' waylon's spin on this tune.
Never listen to waylon much if any just the occasional mid song here or there. Then I happend to stumble on this gem. So far this is my favorite from him. It's awesome. I know it's a cover but he smashed it imo.
Living legends are getting harder to find these days there ain’t many left
WE MISS YA HOSS
If only Waylon, Merle, and Johnny could come back and do it all over again!
That would be great.

Precious gem.. Finding an unheard Waylon song in 2021 is such a pleasure. Thank you for sharing, i'm hoping there are many like these buried somewhere...
You are very welcome. I wish I could find more. Maybe someday.
My great uncle would sit in the living room and lay his head back on his chair while drinking and thinking listening to this song. I was a kid back then but now I understand
these lyrics …this dude made everything funny. And cool.
Waylon Jennings.. The gift that will never stop giving.
Like the dose he got from Rose.

First time I’ve ever heard this song. I love that 70’s Waylon sound with Ritchie and Moon laying down the outlaw country vibe.
Just when you think youve heard every damn waylon song on earth....
Also like the cash rhythm style

Waylon, in my top 10 singers since 1965. I've never heard this song before, but I like it.
If I can’t find it at home I’ll find it where I can!!!!

Love you Waylon!!!
I wasn't a big Waylon fan before. Not even when he sang the Dukes of Hazzard ballad. But I am a fan now. Late.
Never heard I love it
Thought I herd all his songs this is a new one pure waylon
This song was never released on an album, or as a single.

It's more comical to me when I listen to Johnny Paycheck's version, but Waylon does a fine version of the tune.
Paycheck's version is a good one too.
Great, first time for me as well....

Where did this song come from? This is fantastic! Makes me wish that Waylon “Waymore” Jennings was still alive. It’s been twenty years since he went to music heaven. He is still sorely missed by me. I just wanted you to know.
This came from a demo disc. A friend sent it to me a while back.
I have been there, wish I could have gone with WAYLON.
Thanks.
Nice 👍

The song was not on an album. It was not released as a single that I know of. I think it was recorded around the same time as the Leather and Lace album, but I am not sure.

... Yikes!... even Waylon Jennings had this problem?
Joe - somehow I doubt it!
You damn right he did or he wouldn't be singing about it.he didn't hide from judgement. Made him what he was
Getting what everyone else wants and getting what you want is two different things

Hoss write the one?
See comment below from Birdnan
Are you the same guy who had this up before ?
Yes I am the same guy. My old channel got terminated by CZcams for some violations.
@@eaglewatcher290 I messaged you on that earlier post....I'm one of the writers of this tune along with my former partner, Val and Max D. Barnes....The title is actually, Thanks to the Cathouse (I'm in the Doghouse With You) It was recorded by several people back when it was written....Johnny Paycheck put it on his Armed and Crazy album, Waylons version obviously went in the can.....I'm glad you put this back up because I wanted a copy of it... But when I went to actually copy it, it was gone.........My copy will be strictly for posterity....I have no desire to trade off of Waylons name.......Thanks for reposting...
@@birdman5939 You are very welcome, and thanks for the info. I will correct the title.
