Freddy Fish must've drawn some influence from this, subconsciously at the very least. Theres literally a part with a blue hammer fish hammering a nail in one of the freddy fish games as well as a fish sawing just like in this cartoon.

He's a flying fish, duh. Also, he was still wet.
The painting on this was excellent, and the pelican beak gags were particularly good. Kind of the opposite message from Disney's 1934 Flying Mouse where the message was, be yourself and don't dream, this sort of added a Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer twist to the story.

Poor Predators! look how they were always protrayed in cartoons! Sheesh how do you expect them to eat?
Since humans eat cows, humans are thus technically predators too. In nature, both the species of prey and the species of predator co-exist, it is part of the circle of life. If humans and animals did not eat animals, they would be eating plants then someone would cry about the plants. Every species, including plants, co-exist in nature.
Fred Tenzer your right about that however WHY THE GODDAMN FUCK DOES THE CARTOON MAKE IT LOOK LIKE THE PELICANS are responsible for the fish disappearing from the oceans when man himself is the one.that is doing the overfishing.Sure the pelican eats dozens of fish in the cartoon but man in reality scoops out tons of fish daily

Just like there are flying fish, so there are frogs, which breathe both air and water, thus they are amphibians so, there are lots of multi-function animals in the wild, nature can be fun. It is sad, though, that when this cartoon was on television, it was impossible to comment on it like we are doing now, thank G-d for CZcams.

JackB716: I wondered that myself. Going through the alphabet with what rhymes with pelican, the only thing that would make sense to me is this: the mouth of a pelican could hold more food than HIS BELLY CAN instead of stomach. That's just my take on it.

This cartoons are the best and behind of each history, there was a lesson to learn. .. now days cartoons are violence, ugly and evil characters, that only show bad manners to the kids.... I wish we can go back in time and see the point that this world got so wrong.... in so many ways. No values , no respect, no tolerance.. You know what? If this cartoon was done by Walt Disney instead of Paul Terry, I think I can guarantee that everybody will be talking about this film nonstop, probably will be nominated for a lot of awards and possibly end up being a winner and I wouldn't be surprised if critics announce that Disney's done it again. But because that this is done by Mighty Mouse's creator, it is selfishly completely ignored by nearly everybody and that most people are way too stubborn to give other cartoonists a chance and see how good they are in their creativity. And to make matters worse, Disney was never even a cartoonist nor could he even draw his own famous mouse. He hired other white male animators to do his own dirty work for him and most of them didn't even get any of the credit that they should've gotten long ago and it's possible that Paul Terry used to work for Disney back then before he eventually became a success of his own.
