- This is a rich, hearty sauce perfect for the autumn months! It cooks long and slow using a chuck roast and combines the flavor of the meat with a dark tomato based sauce. Serve over your favorite pasta with salad and bread and you have an incredible meal!

Once again, you're making me hungry. Great job guys !! ;)
Yum.....great recipe, great time in your kitchen with you as alway💗❤️💙💚🧡
My first video was Haluski. I've watched it many times. I am delighted to see all things Cavaclade of Food!!!
Hey Kevin and Ralph, another great episode. I saw this and it brought back memories of my youth and Sunday dinners at my grandparents. Went right out to get the ingredients and the house smells amazing right now. It’s a cool rainy day here in northeast Ohio and the family is really looking forward to our ragu dinner this evening. Thanks again for another great recipe, have made so many now that you have shared I have lost count, but they have all been delicious. Keep up the great job!

This looks delicious! My Southern grandmother would have called it Beef and Dumplins. FYI, Nancy Barbato Sinatra, Frank's first wife and Nancy's mother, was a great Italian cook. Even after the divorce, Frank would still come back to Nancy for some home cooking and to see his children. Her Sunday get-togethers were legendary. She lived to be 101. A really great lady.
Hi Jonathan - this was a tasty dinner! Reminded me of something you'd find in a small Italian restaurant where they still make everything from scratch. Thanks!
Miss you guys. Have a great week. From Indiana. G
Your cooking show is awesome. You make everything so simple and easy.Plus you have a lot of Polish recipes for me to cook, being that I am polish.
Hi from Canada. This is going on the list of many great recipes you have shown. You guys are awesome!
It is a bit of work but boy the end result is finger licking. Also, a great way to use cheaper cuts of beef. Thank you for the delicious recipe. Happy day everyone
Just made this, and am eating over gnocchi as I type this. It's fantastic! Thank you so much!
Oh, I'll bet this sauce over the gnocchi is terrific! Glad you tried the recipe - thanks for letting me know!
Would love to see you make Holopchi or, in Polish, Golumky. My grandmother made this a lot. I make it occasionally for my family. I want to see you you have any tips or tricks.
This looks incredible, guys! Will definitely be giving this a try. Cheers!
Wow looks so good
Thanks, Jerry!
👋🏿🎀🕊☀️ I was ready and waiting for a video. 😃 Thank you - Joanette
You were right adding the thyme with the stems. It imparts more flavor to the dish.
Looks absolutely delicious!!!!!!!!!!!
Delicious 🎉
Thanks, Trudy!
Yum. Reminds me of my Grandmother
My Grandmother used to make Chrusciki during the holidays. Have you made that before?
Looks great, I was told as a young boy to always check that you have removed all the Bay Leaves because if you swallow one it can stick to the inside of your throat and choke you.
Have not seen a new video in a while, hope you and everything is allright!
Do you have a chicken and dumplings receipt. Would like to learn to make it. Love your videos. Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving. Gm
You should write a cookbook. I would purchase it. XOXO. Gm
Maybe some day I will! I thought when we get to 300 episodes I might put all the recipes together somehow. I'll let you know!
Yes, I do and I need to find it. It's a good hearty winter dish to make. Thanks, Georgiann!
As always your food looks wonderful but I'm going to send you a little note! And I'd love for you to go to wthi.com to see the full story as I note that you use clabber girl in your baking! This is one of the pride and joys of our area. And 1 of our larger employers for 80 years.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - A landmark welcoming people to Terre Haute is receiving a facelift.
The Clabber Girl Baking Powder billboard sits along U.S. 40 on the east side of Terre Haute.
It's been around for more than 80 years.
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology recently took over the land where the billboard sits.
Rose-Hulman is working with Clabber Girl to restore the 44-foot long sign.
The billboard was one of the first electronic ones in the country.
Restoration work will start soon.
You'll see crews trimming trees, working on the wooden frame, and replacing the mechanics in the clock.
Local artist Becky Hochhalter will repaint the sign.
