Best MANOWAR Cover ever made!.....Other Bands play,FEUERSCHWANZ kills!.....But Melissa should have used her Growl Voice even once.Anyway,definatly a Band we Germans could be proud of !!!!...cant wait to hear their new Bloodhound Gang Cover !

Growls for the sake of growls is gimmicky IMO, if it adds to the song then cool, but Melissa's clean vocals are so incredible there's no need. Feuerschwanz are brilliant, one of my favourite bands.
Growling is the worst part of metal and killed so many otherwise great songs ... I prefer her singing, and use growls sparingly...

@@maxschmidt9461 Тщю You can't Without cleans there is no proper song. Niche genres like death metal,grindcore and etc, are EXCEPTIONS. In general you GOT to have cleans no matter if they ar with grit/gravel or just pure voice. They are still mandatory
The Hurdy Grudy in the video is a modern instrument because it can be plugged into an amp and has 3 different plugs for the whole effect of the instrument. Also Saltatio Mortis's Lead Singer Alea Der Beschiedene was filmed in a different location after the main shoot because he was not feeling well during the main shoot of this music video. I learned all of this from Tank the Tech's reaction to this song.

the video recording was close to my hometown only a couple of minutes from me the video was recorded in Homburg Germany so i wished i had the time to be there -.- and it´s a nice cover from Manowar

Yes Patty Gurdy would be perfekt. I would recommend the Songs: Over the Hills and far away. Horizon turns Red or Molly Malone.

"Eluveitie" is a Band from Winterthur. That is a City near to Zürich in Switzerland. Maybe is that also something for you here... i prefer the Songs "The Call of the Mountains" or "Inis Mona" you must know that in some Songs, they speak the ancient celtic Language. Greetings from Switzerland ;o)

Those bands spend a LOT of time singing on broken castle walls!
I suspect why the Swiss woman was placed at the highest and most dangerous point. Melissa was born in a big city, but Switzerland is mostly made up of mountains. It is possible that this is not her first time in such a position, as many Swiss are good climbers. Today she lives in Denmark, a flat coastal state. That's a contrast.
It's a Manowar cover with more instruments and more singers. And much better for my ears.

The targe style shields and axes do look deadly and original. All of the style, fighting choreography, castle and the hurdy gurdy mixed in with great rock sound makes this an instant favorite. Why shouldn't they use real axes? They're just not sharp though. Those are show battle axes. Often used during medieval festivals to show the public how they fought nack in the days. But you have to indeed be careful with them. A friend of mine who's acting in one of these show battles send me a video lately where one of the other actors got one of them to his neck. His head is still there but I'm afraid the guy must spent weeks in hospital until the broken bones are healed. He was very lucky.

between 08:57- 09:09 is rly awesome. Otherwise are "just" ok for me. I'm a ManOwaR fan. I like the video and the cover. Good video, nice choreography and nice place choices.
But... The idea is totaly wrong i think. If u choose cover ManOwaR as a medieval sound plz don't use the electricel instruments. The whole atmosphere is medieval but the sound is electric. Very absurd. Positive criticism; amazing vocal parts. Rly love it!

@@Merigold83 No problem, it was just a video I stumbled upon after having a few beers every night while I was watching youtube to see if there was anyone doing a manowar cover. There is no need to make an extra effort. They are indeed surprisingly good musicians and what I watched had a positive impact on me. I don't think there's any point in telling the rest of them to the face of the group or their fans. But of course, I still have a dream of listening to a manowar cover made with medieval instruments :)
So to cover a metal song, you shouldn't use metal instruments? Interesting take. The idea of these bands are to mix the sounds of metal instruments as well as the more ancient ones. But hey to each their own
