Colnago Spiral Conic RESTORATION (part 1)

- Před časem jsem koupil dvaašedesátku rám Colnago Spiral Conic, který měl nejlepší časy dávno za sebou. Spiral Conic je nazván podle kónicky se zužující spodní rámové trubky s několika efektními prolisy. Inovace pro zvýšení tuhosti ocelového rámu. Můj rám měl lak ve velmi špatném stavu a na několika místech byl dost povrchově orezlý. Rám jsem očistil od zbytků barvy a rzi, vyleštil chromové mufny a našel si na Google design Colnago Spiral Conic, který mě vzal za srdce.
...a teď přijde to nejhorší - ukecat mistra laku a kamaráda Karla aby mně rám podle jedné fotky z internetu nalakoval...

Some time ago I bought a 62cm frame Colnago Spiral Conic which had the best times long behind. Spiral Conic is named after the conically tapering down tube with several fancy indentations. Innovations to increase the rigidity of the steel frame. My frame had paint in very poor condition and was quite superficially rusty in several places. I cleaned the frame of paint and rust residues, polished the chrome parts, and googled the Colnago Spiral Conic design that took me by heart.
... and now comes the worst - beg the paint master and friend Karel to paint the frame for me according to one photo from the Internet ...

Hello! When your friend came to me to buy the frame, i was happy that it comes in your hands. The former owner, which has already died, would has tears in his eyes, if he could see this. The frame saw a lot of kilometers and now he will see many more. Greetings from Austria

I might be wrong, but you previously said that you ride a size 62cm frame which this one looks like.
My question would be if you were racing would you use this size?
Thank you for your support. Already at the age of 15 I raced on a 62 cm frame. Modern bikes I ride XL 58cm. I have slightly longer legs .

@@OnRoadVintageBikes Jo myslel jsem něco většího. To už je na pořádného chlapa. Nedávno jsem měl možnost koupit Šírera 62 rám nikdy neosazeného, ale ta velikost mě odradila. Asi ho hodil na šroťák. 🤣🤣🤣
@@OnRoadVintageBikes Jo jinak to vedení lanek na přehazku a přesmyk pokud tam není to plastové vodítko jsem u kamaráda řešil vykuchaným bowdenem. Použil jsem jen tu bužírku o délce cca 8cm co zbyla a hle funguje to perfekně.
No já nevím, ale podle mne je i to nejlépe přelakované Colnago (navíc lakované mimo fabriku) prostě méně než Colnago s původním lakem i s honě hrubou patinou.

Ahoj, já myslím, že restaurace s originální kompozicí laku je více než jedinečná, takže bych to nechal zcela na majiteli....
