Today I bring you a video of the bicycle ridden by the great Giuseppe Saronni, world champion, road champion in Italy, winner of the Milan San Remo, Giro de Lombardia and Giro de Italia. Hoy os traigo un vídeo de la bicicleta montada por el gran Giuseppe Saronni, campeón del mundo, campeón de ruta en Italia, ganador del Milan San Remo, Giro de Lombardia y Giro de Italia. Entre muchos más logros a lo largo de su carrera. Espero que disfrutes de esta hermosa bicicleta. As long as you enjoy riding the bikes, recording and editing we will continue on the channel. although lately it costs me much more. What a beautiful bicycle! As a young cyclist and sometimes racer in the Midwestern US in the 1970's, we were aware of Colnago, but they were unobtainable locally, much like the other super Italian brands, De Rosa, Cinelli, etc. A friend managed to get a Masi, but that was the exception rather than the rule. I dreamed of a Colnago or De Rosa but had to settle for a good British frame with lots of Campagnolo equipment. The bike here (although a bit later in time) would have been a dream come true.
Yes friend, I suppose it was due to the importation of vintage Italian bicycles that were top. It would be small at that time and it would be really difficult for them to reach the United States. Now it's sure to be easier. Greetings and thank you for including me in your comment, that dream you had ; )
Same here down in San Antonio. Luckily we had local Wm. Lewis Imports who supplied us with Tommasini, Picchio, and Zullo, not to mention his own house brand of Quattro Assi. I, myself, couldn't afford at the time, any of those I so rode Miyatas initially starting with the Pro before moving up to a Team. I did finally get my Zullo about 10 years ago and just this spring restored and built up a Picchio Special, both with modern Campy 11-speed. On the hunt now for a Tommasini or Colnago...

Beautiful build. I remember looking in the window at a local pro bike shop as a teenage and lusting after one of the Sarroni Colnagos. Steel is still real!

A mediados de los 80 tenía una con las letras saroni y su foto delante donde va el trébol . Es la bicicleta más bonita que jamás se a fabricado .

A couple of my team mates from where I was racing in my college days went to Italy and came back with matching Saronni Colnagos, I had never seen anything so gorgeous. They are still quite beautiful.

I have the same bike but it is blue metalic and is my favorite bike, they don't make bikes like that anymore pure beauty congrats in restoring such an amazing work of art in my opinion the campagnolo components are the best.

This bicycle, in this paint scheme, and with all of these exact parts, is to me the number one most perfect bicycle I could ever want. In 1985 I saw a Master like this and have wanted it ever since. To me an old Campy aluminum crankset is the most beautiful. Modern black carbon cranks I find repugnant.

I look at this stunning work of art and wonder why anyone who loves cycling would chose a modern carbon POS over something as lovely as this? In 50 years this will still be a stunning bicycle whereas the latest, greatest carbon offering will be doing it's non-biodegradable thing in a landfill somewhere.
I hold no bias against carbon fiber bicycles; my appreciation for them is equal to that for steel ones. Having experienced the evolution from steel to aluminum, and finally to carbon frames, with a single example built from titanium, I value each material for its unique qualities. The eventual fate of a bicycle, whether it’s preserved or discarded, hinges on the craftsmanship invested in its frame and its maintenance over time. However, its ultimate destination is of little consequence to me. What matters is the joy of riding and cherishing every bike I own, regardless of the material.

I am going to an estate sale this Sat. 2-24-24 to look at a Colnago, I'm pretty sure it's a Super, it comes with Campy C Record, however someone changed the brakes from the Delta's to some side pull and I can't tell which ones from the picture. The bike has the sloping crown chrome fork and looks immaculate. I intend to make it mine this weekend, fulfilling a life long dream of having an Italian work of art to ride. I'm going to change out the rims to clincher,and add a NOS Selle Concor saddle, but other than that I don't see myself doing anything to this wonderful work of art. Can't wait to try it out. No grease on the steerer threads or the headset top bolt?

@@dabrestauracion7404 Sadly I had to pass on this beautiful and pristine Colnago as it was a 53cm frame, which unfortunately is too small for me. The bike was in perfect condition and sold for 500.00USD. A bargain at twice the price.
As always, u make beautiful videos. Can I ask... is there a trick to setting the correct tension for the front derailleur of a downtube shifter? Every time I try to set mine up, there is so much tension in the cable that it doesn't stay in the big ring. Instead it always falls back to the small ring as there is not enough friction in the shifter. Hope that makes sense? Thankyou for your videos!

To your question, surely you are missing a grooved washer that goes on the gear levers, if the problem is that when you act on the gear lever it goes down by itself. See if that's it. I’m enjoying the bike so far czcams.com/users/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA My only real complaints are the brakes and the pedals. I feel like a bike designed for bigger people should have much larger pedals and more heavy duty brakes. I’ve only gotten two really good rides out of it, minimal downhill action, and the brakes feel like they’re already going out. A larger person has more momentum, so I think this wasn’t thought through very well. Also, I wear size 13-14 wide shoes. My feet cramp up on these pedals that are clearly made for smaller feet. Since I’m not a pro rider (and I don’t think many are who purchase this bike) I don’t think that the straps on the pedal are necessary at all. None of this takes away from the enjoyment I get from riding, however. I’ll just head to a bike shop to improve on a few things.
