Please do bike reviews of historic bikes from each decade from 1890s to present. You guys are the only channel that could pull it off. The technological progression is amazing to behold.
As I discovered; when you ride your first Colnago, you never look back, the only way forward after this, is Colnago.
Yes, I've promised myself a C64 as a retirement present. With Campag Super Record and rim brakes. My C40, though, is still beautiful after 21 years of racing, several crashes and two collisions with car-port and underground car-park. I laid a monocoque carbon frame over a few months ago and smashed the top tube. That would never have happened with the C40. You just cant beat lugged carbon bikes!
I love the "Master" Series
Thanks for another great video!
The Rasmussen's Extrem-C is gorgeous too! Dark, light, smart, what a bike! It's also the last classic bike before the invasion of slooping, aerodynamics and other marketing stuffs.
How badly did you guys want to pump-up the tires and throw a leg over some of these bikes?
YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES. THANK YOU GCN.
Saronni's red Colnago from Goodwood has to be the iconic Colnago from the 80's. We all wanted one!
Really cool to see the variety of technology over the years/decades.
Nice! More more more more please!!! We love history!
Great video GCN!
I have a 2001 Master in AD11. Still stunning.
The 50th anniversary bike is so epic.. But c'mon, Dura Ace?
Totally agree, its like putting ketchup on caviar, Campagnolo super record all the way..
Cool bikes with great history
Colnago ist meine Lieblingsmarke.
Minha colnago 1970 está em perfeito estado de conservação.
i like colnago because the logo 😁
Would love to see the top 10 that are mass produced for consumers.
Think you should have made it 11 and squeezes in Giuseppe Sarronni's Super mexico, Goodward 82, he came out of the pack like he was fired from a catapult.
good times for sure
Nice bikes, I was at my bike shop a few years ago and he had a BEAUTIFUL nude Colnago carbon with carbon crank and chain rings but I read that sometimes the chain ring teeth chip so not sure how useful they would be for everyday use? I will keep my Cannondale system six with Dura ace 11 speed, Rolf TDF4SL carbon tubular wheels, Ciamillo carbon brakes, Zipp SL bars and stem and their newest SL-2 crank, well under 14 lbs now
beautiful bikes. would love to own a colnago frame one day
I was given one today...the whole bike....I never heard of them before today so I'm trying to gather some info....its black and yellow with Michelin tires...lol.....looks pretty professional....the owner said he thinks it's from the late 70's
If your interested I got a 85-86 super for sale or trade. All original minus the challenge tires.
what do you think of the a1r for a beginner-intermediate rider,
Any recommendation for a Colnago bike for a newbie?
No Saronni world's bike? It's the obvious #1 Colnago of all time.
Sarronni's Super mexico bike? It's the obvious #1 Colnago of all time.
cx pista with super crazy aero frame and just a round seatpost with possibly more drag than the whole frame.
I have colnago
I would pick the eddy merckx, It's mint
almost 30 years ago they had the idea for hydraulic brakes and its only now everyone else has caught up. i guess the tech didnt move fast enough
Damn, that pope-bike is gorgeous... Loved to pump those tires and take that baby for a 75km warm up :D
What are the brakes on that sweet cx-1
If you built a special bike for the Pope, why would it be in Colnago Museum and not the Vatican?
what about CX Oval?? or arabesque??
my dream bike
nice
Altain is a good Colnago, I've got two, and a Colnago Sport.
Awesome looking bikes pity they didn't wash them before putting them in the museum , covers up the stylish frame
How come you didn't visit their Fat Bike section?
Tenho uma colnago 1970
De Rosa,Olmo,Basso,Cinelli?
Tony Rominger was averaging approximately 100rpms in his record attempt.
you forgot the master x light 55 year edition.
hi, gcn can you do also for top 10 triathlon or time tiral bikes please thanks
i'd like that cx1 ummm
is this pope word a code word for some top rider, maybe merckx,or anquetill
No, it's an actual gold-plated bike that Colnago presented to the Pope at the time!
Oi! Where's the Tecnos?
I’m enjoying the bike so far czcams.com/users/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA My only real complaints are the brakes and the pedals. I feel like a bike designed for bigger people should have much larger pedals and more heavy duty brakes. I’ve only gotten two really good rides out of it, minimal downhill action, and the brakes feel like they’re already going out. A larger person has more momentum, so I think this wasn’t thought through very well. Also, I wear size 13-14 wide shoes. My feet cramp up on these pedals that are clearly made for smaller feet. Since I’m not a pro rider (and I don’t think many are who purchase this bike) I don’t think that the straps on the pedal are necessary at all. None of this takes away from the enjoyment I get from riding, however. I’ll just head to a bike shop to improve on a few things.
Where is Rominger's Bititan? Saronni's Mexico?
I approved
And Martyn Ashton road bike party Colnago????!
bike porn at it's best. Great video guys.
Pretty sure it's pronounced "D's nuts" as in "these nuts". Dave Z said so himself.
We, Russian cyclists, drink Russian vodka before every race or training session! And at the same time we give out 400 watts per 100 km!
These 30s adverts are so annoying....sorry GCN :(
Best bike there is Freddy Maertens.
Colnago bikes should NEVER be fitted with anything else than Campagnolo groupsets. Shimano/Sram on a Colnago is like swearing in church.
i have shimano 600 gears and brakes on my colnago :) i guess i'm the anti-christ
Never heard of Colnago bikes till today with all the fuss going on about there advert.
friend just paid some big bucks for one of their frames to build a fixie. LOL.
... I'll be in my bunk.
u should add the bike by Tadej Pogacar!
Derped
Really niga?
cyclo-cross bikes? :(
I'd run through there with a welding iron and a grinder
Am I the only one who thinks older bikes look better than todays bikes?
Jade Cleveland not in fact
I agree
Not at all,i to think 80s steel bikes are all beautiful
Handmade by artisans not molds.
100%. All bikes look the same now. Almost unidentifiably samey.
