The title is a little misleading. Lex is a Computer Scientist and his specialty is A.I. He's also a martial artist so the topic came up naturally as their conversation developed. It'd be different if he was a biologist or chemist for example.
LOL at CT being natural, he's had multiple heart attacks and surgeries, and right before that happened he had the body of a 30 years old weight lifter on a small amount of steroids, well past his 50s.... If he was exercising naturally he should not have the cardiac problems he's had.
Fedor had the most explosive speed at any weight. That's what made him the greatest. He looked like he was fighting for his actual life every time when he was young
Good way to put it. Fedor once said he once had no money and no food for his family. Now he has money, he has food. He sees his opponent as someone who wants to take this away from his family. That man must be destroyed. You may be able to stop that with physics, like a kick to the head or something, but you sure as SHIT arent going to DEFEAT that. I experimented with steroids after reaching what i thought was near my natural limit as a non-competing powerlifter (essentially i trained as a hobby). After using all different amounts of mostly testosterone cypionate and for different lengths of time and experimenting with other variables, confidently, I can say that you will eventually experience heart issues and high blood pressure if supplementing with copious amounts of exogenous testosterone. There was a direct correlation between my blood pressure and how much test i was blasting. However, if you supplement with a therapeutic dose, youre probably doing more good than harm for health, longevity, and mood. Its almost euphoric. I used very few orals, although when i did, my liver numbers were poor, but I didnt experiment with proper variable control enough to reliably say oral steroids are indisputably awful for someone. Occum’s razor would seem to point in that direction, though.
My mates heart was twice the normal size because of roids. Kept telling him to leave them alone but he would not listen was like an addiction even when he was having health issues. Like everyone never think its going to happen to you.Died too young, I hate the damn stuff.
Anthony Aguilar Just an fyi, but anyone claiming they put on 20 lbs of muscle in 8 weeks is a liar. 20 pounds of muscle in a year is nearly impossible. Someone may gain 20 lbs, but 17 of it is fat and water, if not more. Typically, on cycle you will gain 1-2 pounds of muscle (if you’re eating enough) and sometimes lean out. No one is doing 8 week cycles in a healthy way, regardless. It’s impossible. The only benefit in using testosterone is for someone who is medically deficient. If a person has low testosterone for their age group, they can supplement with an injection, ranging from 20-50 mg a week. Any more than that (and probably even 50 mg a week) will give you super-physiological levels. Testosterone therapy isn’t done in cycles; it’s a life long regimen. I’ve seen just about any study related to T injections, and the data is far from conclusive. There has only been one long term study peer reviewed and done in a scientific method. That study showed that supplementing testosterone in males with low-t and raising their levels to normal lowered their cause-all rate of death. However, I’ve never seen anyone’s blood work from an endocrinologist who actually didn’t have levels that far exceeded the normal range. I was on a therapeutic dose of testosterone for about two years, and before that, ran “cycles” as modest as 50-200 mg a week for 8-12 weeks, which is extremely low dose. All together, I experimented with T for about 7 years, including 4-6 month breaks between a couple cycles. You will get high blood pressure and most definitely will have an increased chance of blood clots because your red blood cell count goes through the roof.
Anthony Aguilar Regarding the random name dropping: where is your source? It’s physically impossible to gain 20 pounds of muscle in 8 weeks. That’s an average of 2.25 pounds a week for 8 consecutive weeks. Dude, look at two and a quarter pounds of ground beef and imagine dispersing that around your body as if it were muscle play-doh. Are you starting to see how crazy this is? Please don’t be brainwashed my rag magazines at a newsstand with the latest super hero on the cover. None of those people have, neither has anyone, ever. If you gained 5 pounds of muscle, you would look like a completely different person. Five pounds of muscle is insane. Second, regarding your interpretation of benefits of testosterone: my comment was pertaining to longevity, health and mortality. “Physical changes” are inversely proportional to longevity. I thought context clues made that pretty clear, in addition to the other posts in the thread. Of course if you use testosterone, you will generally get bigger, stronger, and leaner. No one is suggesting otherwise. Mortality is the issue. Did you read my comment in entirety before morphing into offended troll mode? To reiterate, anything more than a therapeutic dose is going to cause adverse side effects, sooner than later. Usually high blood pressure. Even on a therapeutic dose, your red blood cell count becomes so enormous that you usually are suggested to give blood every 3-4 months to counteract the effect. Otherwise, you will be at risk for blood clots.
xxnonstopdancingxx therapeutic would imply that an amount of testosterone was used to raise a patient’s free testosterone levels to normal range from low range. Anything super-physiological would constitute a dose that is not therapeutic.
This video has been brought to you by TRT and DMT. The modern day hunter/gatherer's recipe for success. Warning: Kids don't eat candy, listen to Eddie Bravo, or try ANY of this at home.
Lol he said steroids don't help. Joe immediately says you are wrong and lists off how they help. Joe might have had a more intelligent conversation with a random dude on DMT that a didn't go to MIT.
Even superhumans need to recover from exercise/tearing muscles - and steroids speed that up. It is proven that it helps everyone from the string bean to the giant alike. And if you can recover quicker you can grow muscles and work out more often than others and grow even more - it just snow balls.
I bet Daltron you did not work out hardcore, get good sleep and eat right. You still need to do that to build muscle - and athletes already do that - but steroids let muscles recover faster and tell the body to build even more muscle than without the steroids. There are ton of people that take steroids and don't work out or give their body the protein needed and then say steroids didn't do shit for them, because they just wanted to take them and be lazy...
Sure but I know this is youtube and all but I've deadlifted 500x7 not on cycle, 550 for 2 reps and this is at 6'0 185lbs, bench 275x4 reps, ect. at the time I had a very good physique. All I did was eat sleep train and after 1 year of researching aas I decided to use it and did proper pct protocol, even hcg with it ect. All i'm saying is there are non-responders, and with 400 test E, 400 deca and 700 winstrol per week, you should gain 1lbs of weight, even if just water from test. Bloodwork confirmed test was through the roof, sex drive had 0 increase as well for example even with 700 test prop on another cycle/lab.
You have genetics to how you respond . You were past your genetic limit and probably gained in ways you don’t understand . Bone density increases, vision enhancements etc . Hyper absorbability . You needed to eat more then your metabolic maintenance . At least 6k a day
Love Lex. Logic first my man. Also personally, I would make the argument that steroids are dangerous. My father died from an enlarged heart from taking them, he was a body builder. I think with proper education and depending on what is used for it’s safe. Sports wise it’s a no.

He would always be underestimated since he looks like a normal guy in every way, but he was a master and always used patience and excellence to take the win. My kind of fighter...smarts, perseverence & no bullshit.
What‘s often a little bit overlooked with him is that he was incredibly agile for a fighter of that size! He was able to throw punches that were not only powerful but fast as f***** as well!

@Henry1183 yeah it is weird. Whats also weird is that he was able to prove it. From what i hear , proving contamination is hard. If he had that type of power he wouldnt be fighting in ufc.

I also done Francis Naganos bmi and anything over 26 means you’re on steroids and his was 29.
Damon Doran - Fedor admitted that he doesn’t feel pain. Just imagine being in a fight and you didn’t feel getting smashed right in the nose. @Nathan Bracey except you have no idea. He doesn't look like he was on roids which is the most obvious sign...see Overeem and he never tested for anything unlike half the UFC and his fighting style was the opposite of a roided guy. He didn't use brute strength or power but was an amazing tactician and won usually by strategy and skill which steroids has nothing to do with. Rogan accuses someone with a round unmuscular body who never tested positive snd never mentions John Jones, Overeem, Dos Santos, Mir, Snnen, Lesnar etc
joe It doesnt mean anything man John jones never look muscular but he was on steroid, some people jus dont have a good genetic to build muscle, and some people will look better without steroid than someone on steroid so you cant say because he doesnt look muscular that he is clean
I don't know about Fedor on roids. Without evidence of PED use, I am unwilling to accuse. Fedor has thin legs, a pot gut and no bulging muscles. Fedor is a perfect BEFORE poster boy for weight watchers not roids.
Whether Fedor took Steroids or other PEDs I can't know for sure, but looking at the picture used to suggest he did, I can say that he doesn't have any of the tell tale signs. No traps, delts and outer quads coming at you in a 3D effect. Roids directly cause that effects because those muscles are more sensitive to the effects of steroids. No vascularity. No out of control hair growth or acne. He clearly has always had male pattern baldness since a young age and if you have that naturally, many types of steroids will shave your head clean in a few months. I don't see any of that, so I will say that maybe he could have been on a light TRT, or maybe he cycled on low doses to enhance recovery and get a boost leading up to a fight, but that he didn't use large doses and/or for extended periods of time.
No one skeletal muscle is more sensitive to androgens than another. Direct/indirect stimulus will cause sharp growth with AAS. Without a stimulus, hypertrophy of skeletal muscle will be extremely difficult. Vascularity is 100 percent dependent on bodyfat percentage. AAS build muscle, they do not burn fat. Calorie deficits causes lipolysis. Male pattern baldness is genetic, those without the gene will not bald even with strong dht derived AAS such as stanozolol. If you have the gene, AAS will exacerbate your condition.
@@michaeldiaz1179 The density and number of receptors varies in different areas, this makes some muscle groups more sensitive than others. Fat cells have androgen receptors too, and using androgens allows one to diet without losing muscle, forcing the body to burn more fat than without. Androgens also directly cause angiogenesis, the formation of new blood vessels.
@Siren If you are doing a sport like weight lifting or 100m Dash or a marathon, where the physical preparation is what is mostly determining your result, yes, but in fighting the skill element is so crucial that you can be natural and destroy guys on PEDs.

During a hypothetical debate in college, I actually argued for legalizing steroids. Simply put, I'd rather have a governing body regulate their implementation, rather than an athlete abuse them. If there's a scientific benefit to the human body, I'm a proponent of any substance being legal. There are good steroidal products humans can take safely. Props to "all natural" athletes, but lets face it if a steroid can create safe and consistent results, it's worth it. Abuse of the product is a completely different conversation.
It would only work if every athlete, in every sport, would be closely monitored all the time. Literally on a weekly basis. Just letting fighters use PEDs as they wish would lead to huge differences in advantages and would create huge health risks. Secondly, who says everyone reacts to PEDs the same way... It's a tough issue imo, in every sport.

I agree ...But
Sollution is to have 2 Legues
Natural Legue ...and the Juice Head Legue
Otherwise, you will be at risk for blood clots.
what is therapeutic in your view and what is copious? Interested to see the context of the two or at least the difference
xxnonstopdancingxx therapeutic would imply that an amount of testosterone was used to raise a patient’s free testosterone levels to normal range from low range. Anything super-physiological would constitute a dose that is not therapeutic.

Even superhumans need to recover from exercise/tearing muscles - and steroids speed that up. It is proven that it helps everyone from the string bean to the giant alike. And if you can recover quicker you can grow muscles and work out more often than others and grow even more - it just snow balls.
Some people do not respond to steroids as well. I've taken them with no increases or benefits.

I don't see any of that, so I will say that maybe he could have been on a light TRT, or maybe he cycled on low doses to enhance recovery and get a boost leading up to a fight,
but that he didn't use large doses and/or for extended periods of time.
Jon Jones isn't vascular

3 minutes into this video and I'm starting to seriously wonder if this guy is a real scientist.
A scientist can know a lot about one thing and absolutely nothing about everything else :)
