UNIVERSAL SPACE EXPEDITIONER the reason I said I wished he wasn’t was because of his portrayal in the game. It ticked a few people off. I’m not saying make him a saint just make him more likable.

The man who conquered Gaul, a mighty and respected leader and general of Rome, and in AC Origins he is depicted as a goable man, who doesn't seem to be able to grasp half of what's happening most of the time, and overall looked absolutely fragile. This isn't the same Caesar who for the people of Rome crossed the Rubicon, not the same Caesar who conquered Gaul, most definitely not the same Caesar who won the entire of the Roman Civil War. Ave Caesaer, et Ave Roma, Urbs Aeterna.

The funny thing is that by killing Caesar, Aya set in motion a chain of events that would lead to Egypt’s subjugation to Rome. Octavian, Caesar’s adopted son, would formally annex Egypt in 30 BC and would transform the Republic into the Empire. He would be called Princeps “First Citizen” in his lifetime. Today we would call him Emperor.

I hate how they downplay the utter fury Caesar felt at being presented with Pompey’s head. Not just because they were friends, and he could’ve used this as a way to become even more likeable, but even if he did fake it he still would’ve been beside himself with anger. Caesar would’ve gotten ultimate and absolute legitimacy if he captured and pardoned his old friend. He felt the same about Cato though he was more plain about the practical side and didn’t spin it like they were friends, “I begrudge thee Cato for thou didst begrudge me the preservation of thy life.”
