    Now this is something I highly recommend. I had mine installed three and a half years ago with a pebble surround for various pots and it still looks as good as new. With a paved patio both are easy to maintain. Well done!

    I noticed you didn’t add any kiln dried sand at the end before power brooming, any reason for this?

    • @howilandscape
      @howilandscape  Před 11 měsíci +2

      yes they had pets so the sand would absorbed the wee and hold it creating bad smells. some clients have it some don't circumstances adjusted to suit

    Nice video! How much aggregate and grano dust did you have to use on this size of a garden? I want to give my own home a nice renovation but never worked with artificial grass before 😂

    • @howilandscape
      @howilandscape  Před rokem

      Hi there usually i lay the type 1 subbase at 100mm then grano dust at 20 to 30mm depending on clients specifics if they have pets or not any other questions fire away

    What the heck is going on in UK? All those videos of people razing their garden, building all over with pavement, decks, green plastic carpets, adding various indoor features and then colored lights at night, to make the non-garden look beautiful that way.

    • @AsensioPedro
      @AsensioPedro Před 3 měsíci +1

      I don’t know in Uk but in Ireland is useless to have a garden with grass, all muddy as soon as you walk a couple of times, mossy, always wet… impossible to use, at least these gardens can be enjoyed

    • @BBirke1337
      @BBirke1337 Před 3 měsíci +1

      @@AsensioPedro Continental Europe here, a bit less rain than in UK/Ireland, but we also get mud if the soil isn't permeable (too much clay) and moss in shade, and with not enough nutrients. I tturned to leaving grass clippings on the lawn, to preserve nutrients. If lawn really doesn't work, I would get rid of it, plant everything and create a patio of reasonable size. Lawn isn't mandatory.

    Did you use type 1 and grano dust?

  • @deanamends1278

    Hey the top
    Layer sharp sand how deep did you do it or recommend doing , & what did you use to fix it around the edges

    • @howilandscape
      @howilandscape  Před rokem +4

      hey so on this build it has underlay first then type 1 second at 100mm then grono dust third at 20 to 30mm screeded off then grass on top
      if clients have no pets then it will be underlay then 100mm of type 1 then 20 to 30mm of screeded sharp sand
      edges are 200mm by 100mm sleepers cut in half and treated batten round the edge to pin the grass to
      when sun is on the grass over time it slightly shrinks if its not pinned on the edges it shrinks and you get a gap looks awful and moves about.
      stay clear of glues or mastic big companies use this and it never lasts
      some gardens ive done 7 years ago look like it was layed yesterday been laying grass for over 10 years never returned to a garden to restick or level ever happy clients all round
