I’ve worn glasses since I was 3 and grew up on all this “take the hideous glasses off” makeover phase. As a little girl I literally used to take my glasses off to pretend I was pretty or a princess because I never saw anybody who looked like me on tv. Thank you for always being hilarious and pointing out how ridiculous that whole stereotype was. You’ve made the little insecure girl with glasses (who still makes an appearance from time to time) feel a bit better x

Something extra amazing is that when they switched parts, they somehow switched vision! Suddenly Alex no longer needs her glasses and Jeanine is functioning just fine with prescriptions. Amazing!

Not only did Justin Timberlake erase this movie from existence but he somehow erased it from my mind. You unlocked a major childhood memory and once I started watching this video it all came running back. I watched this so many times as a tween and this was super nostalgic. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Kathy Lee Gifford fun fact: I worked for Kmart stocking at night during the holidays and Kathie had a line of clothing at Kmart at the time. She cut a Christmas CD which I have never been able to find since. Her horrible version of Jingle Bells sung in a very crazy quick broadway kinda way played all night long for two months , it replayed every 18 songs and it drove me crazy. The worst part is it didn’t matter where in the store you were ( stocking room , break room , floor , parking lot ) it’s played through speakers everywhere !!!! I literally think it may have been the reason I quit.
@Chrissytoyou, do you remember when it was discovered that her Kmart clothes were manufactured in sweatshops that utilized child labor? During that time, there was a statement made by activists that was “Cody needs a new pony!”. To this day, I cannot think of her and not ‘hear’ that in my head.

I thought I was the only one who remembered this! Her clothes sold in Walmart, too. Remember when shopping at Walmart was the height of trashy? Yeah. I only remembered the sweat shop scandal because she got cut from her show with Regis (yes, it was "Regis and Kathy" before it was "Regis and Kelly") and all her clothes went on sale in a sad attempt to get rid of the evidence of "problematic" merchandise...instead of just...you know....pulling it from the racks? Big corporations caring more about money than morality since their inception 😀
My mom went through he stuff on the sales rack and I was clutching my little girl pearls: "MOM! You can't buy those!" "Why not?" "BABIES MADE THEM" Even if she wanted to argue with me, I just yelled that in the middle of Walmart effectively shaming her. Sorry, Ma.
It was also really weird and jarring how quickly Regis replaced Kathy and explained it....if I remember it was almost a non-explanation...like we didn't all know. Kathy Lee-Gifford: canceled before being canceled was a thing.
The biggest plot hole I don’t understand is, if everyone knew there was a model that looked exactly like a girl that goes their school… how wasn’t she popular or liked. Wouldn’t they have mistook her for the model to begin with?

I used to love watching this movie and the 1998 "Parent Trap" back to back when I was eight, since I loved the "Identical girls switch places" plot. I can't believe that I forgot that Justin Timberlake was even in this movie, I must have mentally blocked it out! 🤣

As someone who threw a full tantrum because my younger brother needed glasses when I was eight and I didn't, I'll never understand why glasses are so "uncool."
I spent an entire summer wearing glasses frames with no lenses that the optometrist took pity on me and let me have while my brother was attempting to legitimately adjust to his vision barriers.

I used to put my mom's glasses on all the time and when she told me I'd mess up my vision if I kept doing it, I did it more because I wanted to wear glasses so badly. Now my husband might need glasses and while I'm concerned about his vision, I'm low-key excited for how hot I think he's gonna look in them 🤦🏽♀️

I've been watching you for a few months on repeat and I truly love your content, but the BIGGEST thing you gave me with these reviews is acceptance. This may sound silly but I'm an Asian and majority of us young Asians would have plaits/pony tails and glasses and I lived my life as a "ugly loser". My mom never let me open my hair because 1) it was a bush and 2) it would get "ruined" if I kept it open all the time. I have so much trauma of being ugly but through your commentary and comedy I can finally feel accepted. It's okay to wear glasses and have a pony tail- to think stupid 90's movies perpetuated this stereotype has triggered a whole generation of people. Thank you for your content- I appreciate you helping me reach my full circle moment. Love you Jaime- keep making this awesome content :D

My parents laughed their asses off at this movie when I was kid and I didn't get why. As an adult... oh yes, I get it.
Remember Justin had never even met or seen her in her glasses and ponytail before. He didn't know the other girl pretending to be Jeanine existed. So he's just with who he thinks is Jeanine and that's it. So it is exactly like if any girl on a date said I'm not who you think I am, then put her hair up and put on glasses, looked at him and said are you getting the picture?

Haven’t seen it mentioned here yet-the Wonderful World of Disney was a series of made-for-TV movies that would air on CBC in Canada on Sunday evenings. All sorts of awful good-bad movies. I remember lots of little pieces of Model Behavior, specifically the bit where Jeanine is rustling Alex’s bedsheets and going, “Static cling, this is heaven!” Like … ma’am, have you as a model never encountered static electricity before?

How did no one around Alex ever think/say that she looks like famous super model Janean? Wouldn’t someone see Janean in a magazine and go wow that really looks like this girl Alex I know.

As whose eyesight got bad in her twenties, I only now realize in how many teen movies people just get rid of their glasses or put on someone else's glasses as if these were always just with window glass and the girlies were just wearing them for fashion purposes not because they actually need them to see. I cannot imagine someone taking my glasses away from me and sending me off to live their life - it wouldn't matter whose life it was. Could be my own and I wouldn't recognize it, with it being all blurry and stuff

I've always loved this movie! It gives me so much nostalgia now. I know it was made by another company than Disney but I wish they would put it on Disney+ so it was easier to watch. 💕
It tripped me out seeing Sean from Degrassi in this too lol. Especially because I saw this before I got into the show so going back to watch it and seeing him was a surprise.

The effort to get this movie for us to be entertained is something to sincerely appreciate. The millennial cup had me dying laughing. Was literally so excited when Jaime spotted that the kid was Degrassi Sean! Yes!🤣
I loved this movie when it was on tv. I am so impressed and grateful for the effort you put into getting it. I had no idea it was scrubbed from everything. I LOVED this movie growing up. Was blessed to have it available on CZcams for a while before they got all copyright-y about it. Hope Disney can figure SOMETHING out with Cars Entertainment and freakin' Pacific (rather than Atlantic) Moon Pictures so we can relive the model magic.
