One of THE greatest songs ever written, performed by one of THE greatest bands ever formed, sung by surely THE greatest singer ever! Love your reaction Freeburg!
"Square thing with holes"...lol....I showed a tape to my 22 yrs old son, he did not understand what that was ... 😂😂😂
Crap! One of the worst bands ever formed.
Damn im in pain, when i heard Queen i say uff this is the best rock band ever ! Then i pass to LZ and i say damn thats the best rock band ever ! Theeeeen i pass to Pink Floyd and i say good that the best band ever
Damn im in pain, when i heard Queen i say uff this is the best rock band ever ! Then i pass to LZ and i say damn thats the best rock band ever ! Theeeeen i pass to Pink Floyd and i say good that the best band ever...
I heard that this song was multiple songs Freddie was working on and decided to put them all together which would explain the complete changes in the song, but idk if thats true or not.
I love her response to no autotune. Yep, no autotune, but our guys back then had something else, though: Talent.
Pitch correction has been around since 1979....I had one in my PA rack. Was in my first band back in 1969. I can guarantee that pitch correction was used in the production of this album.
@@BlazinRiver1 Hmmm... So, Bohemian Rhopsody was first released on Queen's A Night at the Opera album. And ...
that album was released in 1975, so obviously Freddie and Co. had a time machine and used it to time-travel to 1979 to record (or maybe even 30 years from now?) and then time-travel back to 1975 with a really good sounding vocal recording on this track. YEAH!!! That's how they did it!!
It wasn't talent, honed practice and diligent effort. NO WAY!!! "Guaranteed PITCH CORRECTION!!!"
LMAO
@@thomassicard3733 = Eventide, a well-known manufacturer of effects units, made its mark with the Harmonizer H910, the world’s first digital effects unit, which it introduced in 1975. The H910 was an early type of pitch correction device, and while it was a far cry from the Auto-Tune plug-in, it allowed users to make modest pitch corrections, but by today’s standards, its pitch corrections capabilities were extremely limited. There is a strong likelyhood the Eventide H910 would have been available to Queen for their recording sessions, as Bohemian Rhopsody was recorded at 5 studios... and Queen was using state of the art equipment and leading edge producers and engineers....
So YES... pitch correction existed in 1975... _when Bohemian Rhopsody was recorded._
... no one knows if it was used....
Freddy was simply that good, he had nearly perfect pitch. A near 5 octave range and he had sub-harmonics in his vibrato, He was more than just blessed with one of if not the most awesome voice of all time.
The first with autotune was Cher with the song "Believe" from 1997. It's why I prefer songs from before 2000
It is not just Freddie. He needed Roger for the highest notes.
The intro part though was all Freddie. That's what he meant. The middle section was the three
@@-pld- The "choir" is Brian & Roger with Freddie, and a ton of overdubs.
Brian May adds his voice in the Harmony as well.
John Deacon, the Bass Guitarist, (not a player, he's more skilled than most people 'playing') that everyone seems to casually dismiss or forget, arguably wrote one of the Greatest Songs of their career. Another One Bites the Dust from The Game. John Deacon is a God.
@@-pld- not true! all of them are singing in the intro! that was freddies rule and was very important that they all did!
Yup, that's what really talented people do, sing. With their own voices. And play their own instruments.
Really
My 30 yr old daughter was brought up on this music. She absolutely loves it, and now is in the industry because of this!! Chook
Love Queen💙💙
THE MOST POWERFUL SONG EVER WRITTEN................. PLAYED BY THE GREATEST ROCK BAND EVER............... SUNG BY THE GREATEST SINGER AND FRONTMAN EVER.............PERIOD!
A true LEGEND gone way too soon!
Next time you want to surprise someone with a Queen song, don’t stop the video cause you can’t take that surprise moment again!!!
I admit it was very annoying when he stopped to say something.
I was just watching and he stopped and ruined the epic moment at 7:38. What a joke.
To be fair to the guy, music reactors have to pause the songs a number of times to avoid copyright issues. And finding suitable points to pause in this classic is rather challenging.
@@zenarcher9633 Yes, but he stopped it at the worst time possible.
Yes, that was stopping at the "climax"...it takes the edge off the 1st listener's experience; otherwise, it was good to see someone appreciate TRUE "classic rock" 1970s vintage!'🌟🤘🏻😎
"He *DID* that!"
Yes he did, young lady. Yes. He. Did. And he, and THEY, did it live... maybe ten thousand times, never once with autotune, to entertain us all and let his soul soar.
Welcome to a larger, more open, *better* musical world.
From 6:34 to 7:39 was never performed live. It was a tape, this was the part of the show were Freddy did a costume change. everybody left the stage.(Explosion) (Return to stage) So you think you can stone me and spit in my eye.
Pitch control was already in use by 1979 when DAW first came out. I had a pitch correction in my sound rack in the early 80s. Been playing music since 1971 when I joined my first band.
Freddie Mercury.. an absolute legend!
A masterpiece i saw them in Montreal in the 70s. I will rest in peace.
no-one does it better than queen the original writers and performers of this
we couldn’t agree more
Seeing a newbee being introduced to the greatest band ever...priceless!
Of course, Queen is the best...the original!!!!!
And the lead guitarist is currently a Professor of Astrophysics at Queens College.
This takes me back to 1975 when I heard or rather experienced this for the first time as an awestruck 15 year old. Even my mother was knocked out by it.😁
And we have a brand new Queen fan lol Her eyes said it all!
Nobody does it better than Freddie ❤
no cover can capture this song.
Amen
True no one can compare to the true Queen 😁
I love watching people react to Bohemian Rhapsody. When my daughter was 12 she came running in the door after school, was so excited to share a “new band, new song” she heard at school. She set up the speakers for full affect and on came Queen. She cried when I told her it was 50 years old and that Freddie was dead. I felt horrible for bringing her down. Great video!
Thank you so much!!! I love the excitement listening to the amazement of queen… experiencing it with my daughter was awesome
Fred isn't dead, he's still alive in his music
show her "somebody to love" live in montreal 1981 🙂
No one can do better than Freddie Mercury 🥰
One of the greatest most talented singer, performer ever. Even in extreme pain, could barely walk or stand he carried on right to the end to be THE BEST ever. Gone too soon but what a legacy he left. Love you for ever R.I P Freddie
Your daughter is just precious.....your interaction: priceless & heartwarming! She's heard more Queen than she realizes, I'm sure....We Will Rock You & We Are The Champions played at sporting events, etc...kids know those but don't know they are Queen,
It’s true. I was in college before I’d heard the name Queen and only then realized that I already knew a bunch of their songs! 😂
It's so important to introduce kids to real music. Good job Dad!
I've spoken to a lot of people in my age group who have seen queen live their opinion is near universal, queen are the best band live they've ever seen!!
I wish I had seen queen live, but I was just to young.
Only 11 when he left the planet...
I would adamantly agree! I saw them twice and the show, and I mean Show was incredible. It was a theatrical extravaganza with killer music.
Seeing Queen live is a life changing experience, fortunate to see Queen several times live, but their Rock in Rio in 1985 with around 300,000 people was just an amazing experience.
First thing about listening to Bohemian Rhapsody,, never pause!! Bit I would like to be a fly on the wall when she shows this to all her friends
They all sung 😁
But not at that part where Freddie layered only his voice
@@dianecourtney2724 True
My daughter is three, I can’t wait to introduce her to my favourite bands. Queen is right up there. Great video!
Thanks!!! I'm sure she'll love Queen!!!
My son was 2 as he knows Queen and "Another one bytes the dust" :D now he is 4
Your beautiful, very smart daughter is exactly the type of person that will end up being a Queenie the rest of her life. Her eyes said it all. Please, learn the story of these four incredibly talented people who changed music and influenced the world. Queen was before their time and is now, for all time!
I have never listened to the pentatonix or home free version of this, i just cant do it because this is so good. I never want to hear anyone other than Freddie Mercury singing this one.
As far as I know, the remaining members of Queen have only officially endorsed two covers of this song; Pentatonix and Angelina Jordan. You can love Queen always, but you're doing yourself a disfavor by ignoring the others.
@@RossWrock point well taken, thanks
@@mdm32746 If you get around to watching them, let me know what you think
@@RossWrock I've been a fan of Queen from BEFORE they were famous. It's great seeing young folk "discover" them. I've heard the Pentatonix and Home Free versions, and they were good, but.... the version by Forestella is phenomenal. I'm sure Freddie would love their version as it incorporates his love of Rock and Opera perfectly. Don't worry, they don't move too far from this.
Hmm. I'm not aware of a Home Free cover of this... But anyway, the Pentatonix one is a MUST view. I think you will find it to be almost as good as this one.
Love her reaction! For me as a 45 year long Queen fan, this is what Queen was and still is about; to let people experience music ❤
Freddie would have adored her reaction and I bet if he was still alive he would be all over YT to watch people's reactions to his music😆
Queen has so many great songs.
You guys are awesome together
She needs to be a regular ! :-)
Queen is Freddie and without freddie there is no queen R .I. P. Freddy. You are the best I know
I would like to thank Wayne and Garth for reintroducing Queen to the US after what MTV had done to them
Mike Myers that played Wayne in Wayne's world also played Ray Foster (the manager who lost Queen) in the Bohemian Rhapsody movie.
According to Brian May, Mike Meyers wanted the band's approval to use Bohemian Rhapsody in Wayne's World. They pulled togetrher a rough cut of the scene in the car, and sent it to May for approval. When Brian got it, like weeks before Freddie died, he took it over so they could watch it together. Freddie laughed himself sick, talking about how they would stop and dance in their seats when a good song came on the radio when they were all touring in their little van. And thus, permission was given.
The thing people don't get is that Brian May's guitar is truly special. She's called the Red Special for a reason. He built that guitar with his father out of pieces found around the house. The fret arm is a piece of wood they cut out of the mantle piece of their chimney and has tooth picks in the holes wood worms had borne through it. That's why she sounds so unique.
I saw Freddie live when Queen recorded the "Hammer to Fall" video, I'm in the front row. Noone ever did it for, or to me like that. And I saw Elvis and AC/DC perform live. Good on you for showing your daughter real music... good on you, my good man. Good on you. Now go for the 5th best selling album of all time and show her Meatloaf's Paradise... And show your kid the movie 'Bohemian Rhapsody' for the love of god.
Thank you for the kind words
I am 63 and when this comes on in the car I’m banging my head to you know which part! ❤
The way you are looking at your daughter is amazing.
I loved watching her reaction you can't fake that! It reminds me of my granddaughters reaction. Freddie Mercury would be thrilled to see what is now the third generation of teenagers growing up with a love for Queen. Wayne's World brought this song back for the second generation and Bohemian Rhapsody the film for this one. Keeping their music just as current as it was wayyyyy back in the 70s. Insuring Freddie Mercury lives on forever and one day 👑
Remember when it came out in 76!! Fell in love with Queen from then!! A day hasn't gone by when I haven't played a Queen song!!! RIP Fred!!
Not just the greatest pop, rock or opera song in the world. Not just the best pop-rock-opera anthem in the world. The best. Period. The best song ever made.
I just loved this reaction, the shock of your daughter, with you playing the slightly wicked yet proud father who opened her eyes and ears to a new life experience. In fairness, we should say that most people on Planet Earth were shocked the first time that they heard this. Korean rapper Psy said "it took him about six months" to process and come to terms with this song. Winston Churchill said (of history) "the further back I look, the further forward I can see". The same can be said of music, as your daughter is just beginning to find out. We all want to see more of this journey, please!
Is emotional masterpiece the true Queen sound is in the '70...
And now if there is still room for mind blowing, you can show her the Wembley concert.
When you started head banging!!!! Lol. And our old folks know all the words of the song. Awesome
BTW: There's about 147 dubs in this entire song. It's just frigging amazing. How Freddie wrote this masterpiece & had it meld together is truly ASTOUNDING!!!
It really is amazing
I love the documentary when Queen discuss Freddie coming into the Recording studio, and after describing the concept, just said. "Darlings, this is where the Operatic bit comes in". And the others just went.. "oh OK". 😂
I believe this is the only song to make it to #1 three times in the UK. The first time was in 75, the second time was in 91 after Freddy died. The third time (not sure about this) was as a charity single for Red Nose Day...
Possibly after the recent biopic?
As you mentioned Greenday you should let her watch the Greenday concert in London where they were playing Bohemian Rhapsody during setup and they whole huge crowd gave a stellar performance of the entire song. 65000 voices singing the entire song perfectly in tune and totally brilliantly.
Check out my channel it’s in there
i was just thinking the same....
Great Job dad teaching the youngsters of past greatness is an honor! my 4 yr old is not yet knowing whats in store for her.
rip Freddie. Best showman. Incredible band. There will never be another combination like the original Queen. Perfection. You should show her live in Montreal Queen playing Somebody to Love.
Agree..
This is the holy grail of music
It's a crime to keep stopping this ! Let it play so she can listen man !
This was one of my very first reactions and I was trying to avoid copyright. I don’t do this anymore
Now that's what I call daddy daughter time.
HUGE Queen fan since I bought my first album ever, 'Night at the Opera", back in the 70's while in Junior High. With that said, John Deacon, the bass player, is the only one not singing even though he is lip syncing the words. The lead guitarist, Brain May, and the drummer, Roger Taylor also sing a lot in this song. So glad you are introducing your daughter to real, quality music. Way to go!!
The look at 5:22 now THAT's a proud father 🥲 Good on you sir for introducing her to great music.
Her face priceless.happy queen fan
Greatest band ever. Awsome voice, sondwriting etc. Rip freddie
I absolutely love Brian’s playing towards the end…when it slows down again…after the “Ooh yeahs” before Freddie starts singing the ending. His guitar sounds so sweet. I still get goosebumps when hearing that part ❤
Cute Reaction....Queen Always!!!!
Roger Taylor, the drummer is the one hits that high note!
I just got to have that moment 3 days ago with my daughter so I feel you man
You should show her Queen at Live Aid! Queen was in a slump on the charts, but this performance put them back on top, as Freddie Mercury (who was starting to feel his sickness) ABSOLUTELY OWNED the crowd! Even other musicians knew it was the best performance of the event! In fact, afterward, Elton John waited outside Freddie's trailer and when Freddie came out, Elton yelled at him; "You bastard!" and started laughing. Everybody knew that he stole the show and put Queen back on the map and the sales after that reflected it! Make sure to find the full show though (over 20 minutes long).
We’ve done it
I will never get tired of Freddie Mercury’s voice. I think he was the greatest singer of his generation, and probably of the current generation too. His songs and performances give me shivers and make me cry no matter how often I experience them.
What an incredibly touching moment you captured in this video! Seeing your daughter experience Queen for the first time and witnessing your emotional reaction is truly heartwarming. These are the kind of memories that will last a lifetime. Keep sharing these precious moments with her, and thank you for letting us be a part of it. #FatherDaughterMoments #QueenMusic
old dad just went up 20pts in coolness skill
Three European universities studied all the male voices in rock and concluded that Freddie had the best voice of all.
Was lucky to see them live twice. The record company said it was too long , and couldn't be a success ! Queen knew better. Great reaction. Love it .
How lucky to capture such a meaningful intereaction, something you'll both be able to rewatch years from now. It was really heartening to see your daughter's enthusiasm towards the end especially the playful tone she took about wanting to watch Bohemian Rhapsody with you. I think it's great to see a dad who has done well raising his daughter and as a direct consequence is able to have nice moments like these. It's definitely worth highlighting.
(P.S. I have a good dad too, I just know parents get a lot less credit than they used to)
Your daughter is Awsome. Be proud!!!!!
If you look up "legend" you get a picture of Freddie Mercury.
RIP rockstar.
You are sorely missed.
Freddie was working on three songs when he had the genius inspiration to combine them into this epic masterpiece. Nothing like it before or since. After his death, his mother, Jerr, said she enjoyed this song but it made her too sad to there the "Mamaaa" parts.
Sorry, but Freddie was following a long musical tradition of combining musical styles into a rhapsody. Hence the name of the song, the Bohemian part comes from a different source.
@@davidkeenan5642 I guess we'll have to agree to disagree, I trust my sources.
@@davidkeenan5642 When Freddie Mercury was a student at Ealing Art College in the late ‘60s, he wrote down some ideas for a song on scraps of paper; his friend, Chris Smith, has stated that Mercury played parts of songs he was writing. One of those pieces was known as “The Cowboy Song,” and it had lyrics that found their way into “Bohemian Rhapsody,” specifically the line “Mama…just killed a man.” In the 1970s, he shared the bits and pieces with his bandmates, drumming on the piano keys and explaining what he would insert into the gaps. He told his bandmates that he thought he had enough for three songs but was considering combining it all to create a single long song. And that is what he did, creating a six-minute suite which is divided into several sections, including a ballad segment, a hard rock portion, an operatic passage, and the final, dark coda.
@@susanengland3919 Davis is right
Hate these comparisons no one is better than the original by Queen, not only was Freddie an amazing vocalist and frontman, the hole band gelled so well together, they were amazing talented musicians, Penatonix do they play instruments???????
This song is a Classic. It never gets old!
If you haven’t, you really need to show her the live aid concert! She’ll appreciate them even more!
The original by Queen is by far the best. There is NO comparison!
I always love watching young people's faces when they discover stereo 😂😂😂
The look on her face, PRICELESS....(Queen) 70s
Brian May is now Sir Brian May, made so in the New Year honours list 2023.
That’s amazing

All the time the video of Queen is going on I'm just loving how you're looking at your baby girls reaction to the video of Queens bohemian rhapsody to me that is more classic than the song could ever be!
Freddie was one of a kind.
It's never to late to check out old and new music! I'm a 63 boomer and am always keeping my ears out for new music and old music that I've never heard! With out music life would suck!
I absolutely love to see a younger person discover older music. And to hear her say thats going on her play list was the cherry on top. I was born in 68 and the 70s had the best music if the younger gens would just give it a chance ❤
I completely agree
I'm 31 and cannot stand music nowadays. It's garbage. I'm always listening to queen, Eric clapton, pink floyd, led zeppelin and guns and roses. When musicians where talented, and didn't use this sympathiser crap.
@@marchmcmadness7134 Absolutely!!!! Vocal talent.

I'm glad you were able to open you're daughter's ears to some Queen 😁👍.
Rock and Roll meets opera. Awesome ! Only few pop and rock acts can match this group.
I love the reactions from her. This is what it's all about. Throw some Led Zeppelin, black sabbath, pink floyd, Deep Purple her way. I can't wait. Until next time stay well
Absolutely!!
Deep purple, pink Floyd, led Zeppelin.
But also try some Beatles!!
Hey, Dad! your daughter is not only beautiful and sassy - she has some taste... she got it from somewhere(?)... also, I bet if you probed a bit, she would realize that she knows more Queen than she realizes... has she heard "We will Rock you/We are the champions"? "Under pressure"? "Another one Bites the Dust"?.. perhaps... lol (P.S. Sir Doctor Brian May is total genius.. to this day)
I’m sure she knows we will rock you!!! She’s been to football games…
It's all four of them!
Please watch this video and skip to when Dr. Brian May Talks: czcams.com/video/ePsI90A5szI/video.html and leave a comment there.... Plus John Deacon never sang a song in his life so at most it would've been Dr Brian May and Roger Taylor.

A fantastic reaction video! Gives me hope that the younger generation will get to appreciate and enjoy the best music ever rather than modern rubbish! Thank you❤
Most people dont realize that Rodger Taylor (drummer)is singing the high portion of the opera part & Brian May sings the lower registers. It took 3 weeks for them to record it.
heard that song at least twohundred times in my life. watching your lovely black-eyed daughter making this experience gave it a whole new quality
Great reaction buddy ; ) 😀 Would love to see her reaction to Angelina Jordan's version on America got talent ....that is so good that Queen gave the rights to her version 😊

Aww - to the power 10! 🥰 I had tears in my eyes 😢 I was a UK primary (elementary) school child (8yo) when this came out. I remember watching it on TV ("Top of the Pops " UK) with my Dad (Mum doesn't like rock music!), eyes like saucers and my jaw dropping open. When it finished, I just sat in silence utterly shocked. My Dad said "Did you like that, my little goldfish?" and I nodded as hard as I could! Fast forward to early 2000's and I remember my son as a 7yo watching the same video and the only thing he said throughout the song (at regular intervals) was "Wow!". I cried when he watched it as it was so amazing to see the joy of such incredible music through his eyes. Thank you for sharing this, both of you ❤ Jo x
I love how your daughter appreciates good music without a doubt she has a very good musical ear
