Contested each May, the PGA Championship is the second major championship in golf’s annual rotation, and perennially features the strongest field in the men's game based on the Official World Golf Rankings. Known for dramatic finishes and notable champions, the Wanamaker Trophy-which has been awarded to the winner since 1916-is inscribed with names such as Brooks Koepka, Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Jack Nicklaus, and Gary Player.
The 2024 PGA Championship is set to take place between 13-19 May at Valhalla Golf Club. The reigning champion is Brooks Koepka.

He not bad his swing is good his contact with golf sounds good just more easy tee shots and maybe go after some pens he being too safe he doesn’t have time for that at his age

Love his new swing with so much emphasis on a classic follow thru position. I'm sure a lot of his injuries came from his past "dip & flip" which generates power but is also hard on the body. This swing is far more traditional & doesn't even look like Tiger from behind. He'll probably be going with the higher club of the 2 on decisions of in between clubs. Really a great looking new swing.

@@DTB1995 Before he was forcing the club at impact. Now he is allowing the shaft to do more work for him with a smoother swing which will be great for his longevity. Hope he has a sense of humor enough to play the senior tour & has already told Jack he intends to do so since they are allowed carts. People will always love to watch Tiger.

yeah the score may not be that hot but you have to realize the couple of up and downs he had. nuts! he still has some in the tank for sure.

Considering his age, injuries and his lack of on course practice, Tiger still strikes the ball as good as any pro on tour.
Hes just inconsistent and gets fatigued / sore.
But his best is still so damn good.

@@DTB1995 Well 1. he is getting better, his body and walking are improving again year over year since the accident, and 2.nd his mind is second to none, he already won a major with real big pain long time ago.

I haven't really seen his putter be this hot in an entire round. He made all kinds of putts! Didn't have the best day off the tee, I think there was a -1 to -3 in here if he'd have cleaned it up a bit off the tee. I think he makes the cut for sure

Cut is a technical term meaning edging it in with finesse from left to right. I hit a cut shot today onto a very firm green to get it to stop quicker. You could also use fade but certainly not slice. Cut is the action of the swing on the ball so it has a dynamic aspect to it.

If Tiger had made half his short putts this round should have been -3 no doubt, he couldn't make anything, his short game was very poor and rusty, I predict we might see something special in him during THE OPEN, and for all you wanna be golfers that means The British Open. Eh, I wouldn’t quite say that. He could’ve been down to about -2 or -3 today. He kinda killed his chances with the 3 putts in the last 2 holes. Other than that, he didn’t look half bad today. A few minor mistakes caused him to not shoot a score around 67. He just yet hasn’t got a 100% round where everything’s clicked driver, irons, wedges, putt, there’s always one or two that he missed each round.

Prime example of a guy that will not admit that it is time to call it quits.
How? He could of easily shot 3 to 4 under on a 8,000 yard golf course. Just a couple of bad drives and a couple of 3 putts. He still has his iron game and he's out driving 80% of the field.
he won a major not long ago and still has a ton of great shots in the tank still. 1 more major for sure I think.

It takes 4 solid rounds to win a major. His body will not hold up to walking 4 rounds on a course that long. He is too old, and his body is too beat up, to string 4 great rounds together.
