Contested each May, the PGA Championship is the second major championship in golf’s annual rotation, and perennially features the strongest field in the men's game based on the Official World Golf Rankings. Known for dramatic finishes and notable champions, the Wanamaker Trophy-which has been awarded to the winner since 1916-is inscribed with names such as Brooks Koepka, Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Jack Nicklaus, and Gary Player.
The 2024 PGA Championship is set to take place between 13-19 May at Valhalla Golf Club. The reigning champion is Brooks Koepka.

Seriously one of the most deliberately softened greens you've ever seen. It's clear they want cheers over challenge. This course was playing mega easy, and probably because they were under strict instructions to make it that way so the spectacular shots would be numerous and build ratings. But what does that mean for the sport itself?

I said it was Xander's time now and he would get his breakthrough. I am so proud of him. It has been an amazing journey. Almost everybody overlooked that amazing putt on #14 in the 3rd round. That's when I knew, he was going to win. I've watched him for years, I knew this was a special man. I predict, now that the ice has been broken, Xander will win more majors!

having all the players back to compete at the majors is important. I dont know what they have to do to get everyone on one tour but they need to figure it out. Having things go down to wire is good for golf and good for the fans. Golf is hurting with two tours they need to figure it out

Xander used to be known as the best player to never win a major. With his 2024 PGA Championship win, that title transfers to someone else. Who will now be known as the best player to never win a major? Hovland would be my choice or how about Will Zalartoris or Tony Finau?

glad to see Schauffele finally win a major. ...was rooting for him to win from the git-go. poor guy never gets a break, every shot is earned and then some. 18th is a perfect example. screwed right off the bat.
as successful as they are, ive got no love for tor the likes of scheffler or dechambeau. if you didn't know who they were, and you saw them swinging away at the local driving range (assuming you didn't focus on where the ball went, of course), you'd swear they were 18 handicappers. smh.

commentators mentioning Bryson leading in driving yardage, and "these guys have been trading punches all day, it is fun to watch" yet almost no coverage of him other than his hole out up to that point, or really any LIV players who are competing. Dude shoots a 64 and they show 3 clips of him. Weird

Make me the greens keeper next year. You might get the same winners, which is fine, but I would assure you the scores would be cut in half. The fairways are about 20 feet too wide and the rough needs to be about 1/3 to twice as deep. The greens should have been dried out and cut both in the evening after play and in the morning. There's no excuse for a major being this ridiculously easy. It looks to me like they were under instructions to make the course play as easy as possible so that scores would be extra low and spectacular shots abound -- in order to boost ratings. I'm happy enough with the result of play, but deeply disappointed with how easy the golf course played for these guys. There has got to be something going on here for this to happen.
I think with all the rain they ran with it. softer greens gave the lower scores. To win as always it was control of nerves, some daring and great play. I think it made a great show and winner. I certainly enjoyed it. Well done PGA!
Even in 2000 at Valhalla when there was nowhere near the talent on tour there is today and with older equipment, the winning score was -18. The PGA Championship setups tend to vary and it’s not the major that’s always expected to punish players. Certain years will feature tougher courses and conditions but what you’re explaining above is a US Open setup. And one thing I can just about guarantee is that nobody will even sniff -20 at Pinehurst #2 in June. They’ll have thicker rough and holding those lightning fast bowled greens from anything other than the fairway will be daunting.

huh? Bro Scheffler dragged a cop 40 feet in his car injuring him after being told to stop multiple times. Scheffler is lucky he was even allowed to play. Elites need to be treated the same as everyone else. If anyone else did the same thing Scottie did, they would immediately be in jail and would have likely gotten roughed up for injuring a cop.

220+ yard 8 irons. The game I grew up playing is hardly recognizable. Shame on the USGA/RandA for letting it get to this point. Scoring records should have an asterisk by them, at least draw a line in the sand... SMH

Everyone having a shot at the PGA over the highlights on here. If you want to watch it, either watch the TV broadcast or live stream it. The broadcaster who owns the rights to the vision decides what the highlights package will be for the PGA to show on YT. And remember, this is FREE, so deal with it.
PGA and pro golf is over, idiots screaming at every tee, players come and go very often and class is just now-where to be seen. All we can guess it’s more for the masses, “don’t bother to be courteous or professional”.
