Good stuff been fishing paste for years still love watching other people fish it see if can perfect it anymore. Just watched the underwater videos be great to see paste fished in one to see what happens.
My grandad thought me how to mate paste 30 years ago from real trout pellets. I only had a cheap gear each I was maybe 12 years old. No one was using pellets or paste! On my local commercial water I’d smash them out every cast. The pro guys with all there match gear maybe landing a fish every 15-20 minutes. This little boy using a old centerpin and fibreglass rod was catching them as fast as I could land them! I used to fish a fair bit over depth but then it was new so maybe different now! That went on for a few years before anyone caught on. Was hilarious 😊. God knows where my grandad got the idea. I’d soak pellets in boiling water ad a egg good to go! I’d put 20mm ball of paste on a size 10 to 8lb straight though with a homemade crowquill wagglier. Feeding 3mm pellets by the handful my peg was like a jacuzzi! Some of the best days of my life!

Great Vid Rob. Nice to see my local lakes online couple of question which lake was you on match 1,2 or 3. If I fish paste in rod ie with bomb does it stay on ok when casting?
Thanks Dave, I was on Lake 2 and yes if you mix it up a bit on the stiff side it'll stay on perfectly.
What size float and olivette is that please?

That’s not been fishing so well as the others this year, I thing they lost some big fish. 3 has been great loads of doubles up to 16.1/2 lbs last week

Can't quite put my finger on it but found that an irritating and painful watch.
Can't stand match anglers putting 7 + pound carp in keep nets don't care about the fish at all mugs
The condition of the fish at most commercials has really put me off fishing them. The mouths are especially bad.
If you want to be sure not damage fish is to stop fishing...take up golf
