    A review of the new Ceramic Metal Halide from Maxibright. It has a better spectrum than High pressure sodium and Metal Halide and more efficient too. You can get these benefits by switching to Ceramic Metal Halide but you can keep the same reflector and ballast which makes the changeover easier on the pocket.
    These test results were with the Lumatek ballast but I tested it with a Lumii digital ballast and the bulb was running at 724 watts and I would worry it would burn it out. I also ran it on the Maxibright magnetic ballast and it consumed less than 540 watts and would underperform.

For states/countries that will legalize weed it's already too late even if someone have money for start. I remember the excitement a dozen years ago growing weed. Now it's like a hay. I'm looking at these kilos with no value and it makes me sad. If you decide to pay someone to trim outdoor hemp buds by hand, you already paying him more that the product is worth. I already have seen nice looking indoor (probably not true) hemp flowers that were selling bellow electricity cost to produce them.

  • @fairdinkumpiereviews5357
    @fairdinkumpiereviews5357 Před 3 lety +1

    What spins me put is the cmh were said to have less stretch and less red then hps.. but in your graph they have more stetch and more red? In a higher Kelvin then hps.. they have a good spectrum! Even better penetration then a ceramic hps!! Considering the ceramic hps has not alot. Etc. But I would have thought even the ceramic hps would have had more then the cmh! Good size watt for watt better then the 315w cmh! And being an e40 ederson screw fixture they can im guessing be ran at the same height as the e40 600w hps? As opposed to the Hi-Par DE 630w cmh lights which must be hung alot higher.. considering the cmh stretch less im guessing there's not alot of height issues.. very very interesting! I'll run these alongside the hps lights and swing a bit of a mixed spectrum emerson effect deal yeah.. for the ultimate frost and size and desnity combination.. im excited.

    Personally I would avoid using these. I’ve used all sorts over the last 12 years. I tested one last year as I like to try new stuff (especially lights). I was told that they must be used with an old magnetic ballast due to the Square wave so not sure how accurate that was? Tried it once instead of 2x315w CDM and the CDM’s were much better. Now I’m on Zeus 600w Pro & CDMs. Save your money and buy some good LED’s like Migro, Lumitek, Geekbeast etc.

      @@drivin69 you are correct about normal hps and metal halide. The 15 dollar bulbs you get 1 harvest before quality drop, the hortilux hps or my almost 2, and the super hps and super mh(forget what it’s called) can do 2 harvests before quality and yeild drop become an issue. If you have the ability to space your plants out in a single layered space, and put the lights over top so you have one canopy, you could get some silly good results by moving and rotating plants every day or 2.

      @@lordperezident they make them bc they produce a superior specimen. I run 100% LED’s as of a couple years ago due to cost/carbon footprint concerns, but grow after grow the quality of the mh/hps specimens are just better - more vigorous, full, bushy, vibrant, you name it. I’ve grown to love my LED’s for a lot of reasons, however, and do believe they’re very much the future of indoor gardening.
