- Hey guys! Hope you liked this video of how I got to where I am now. Its kind of, all over the place, as usual and I didn't answer too many questions about clients, kits,brushes, etc... which I'm going to do next. just strictly answer your questions.
I just wanted to share my story. There was so much more to it but it was turning into a 45 minute video and honestly, nobody got time for that!! so I cut a lot out and condensed it. If it seems a little choppy that is why!

I'm trying to understand why you do not have millions of subscribers. Your personality is absolutely amazing. You're quirky, funny, compassionate. every time I watch a video, you make me feel like you're talking to me, your camera presence is awesome. This is so selfish but I almost don't want her to blow up (even though she deserves to) because I'm scared it'll change her relationship with her viewers/channel and she's my fave 😭
I know a few others that I loved and watched from the time they were new, tiny channels and they seem to have really changed once they got attention. Idk maybe it's inevitable or maybe she's different. But deep down I do think she's one of the best on this platform and I do want her to be as successful as she deserves to be.

It's surreal watching this to see her struggle and where she's at now and has been for a few years. She surpassed them all, and she'll never say that or feel this way, but she was born to make people smile and we love watching makeup mystery, or at least 7 million plus do. Personal sales goals really Poison the Well because you feel the pressure to perform and sell someone something versus finding a product that works for them. I feel you girl!! I’ve been there. I worked for a place called Garden Botanica and I had personal sales goals. During the holiday season it’s pretty easy to meet those goals or come close-but after the holidays, man it’s a scramble.
Look at you now girl. Only a few years later and you are over 6 million subscribers!!!! I found your channel a while back and have enjoyed your make up and crime. Bravo girl keep going and growing!!!! 🌍

This was by far the most real video I’ve watched about being in the makeup industry. I’m someone who wants to freelance as well and I live in a country where it’s easier to get clients by word of mouth. Hearing the story from you and the hardwork and struggle that one needs to grow through to make it - it’s humbling and I respect you so much more.

I loved your story! I struggled working at the MAC counter because I found it hard to recommend products to people that I didn't necessarily think were the best, although I love a lot of their products. For that reason, the sales aspect killed it for me and I was bummed that the job wasn't really working out..my numbers were horrible lol :( so it's so inspiring for me that you were able to still be successful in the industry despite that!!

I used to be an MUA and you're literally so spot on with this video! The amount of people that expected to just be an MUA without any real effort put in on their part was astounding to me! I wasn't even a great MUA but you do have to pay your dues and werk! BUT it is soooo worth it if you truly love make up. My main problem was I don't like people too much and unfortunately clients couldn't just drop off their face for a bit and come back later for it. Anyway, I love your videos... your open and honest way and you make me smile on the daily!

Your story is exactly how anyone makes it in their dream job whatever it may be. Take risks, do things for the experience not for the money, and reach out to people with experience and ask for help. i love the fact that you do all kinds of make up looks i see so many channels and all they do is one kind of look. being a quote "goth" girl i don't always want to see glam make up looks. i have been goth since i was a teenager some 20 years ago and i do not see that changing lol. but thank you for making people like me comfortable.

Thank you for posting this. Recently thought of going to beauty school because I am really passionate for makeup I know a 4 college isn’t for me, so that’s why I think beauty school would be really good as it is more hands on. But at the same time I really am thinking about my future like what if I don’t want to do this anymore in 20 years? I just turned 19 and been thinking a lot what I want to do with my life.
