This is why it's important to record stuff today. I don't know what to think of him, he's just plain stupid and thinks everything will be fine just by a sorry or by stalking the other. Why the heck did he dump her and mistreat her? He obviously knew nothing about her with him so easily accusing her of things. I would think that after 10 years together you would know the other persons personality except if the other person faked it which wouldn't make much sense in this case. I agree with you there. He knew her for 10 years!!! You know how she is so why would you believe the word of someone else? And being so close, wouldn't he have gone to FL and questioned her actions and tried to understand her side? Ugh people are so quick to jump to conclusions and agree with story A when there's another side to the story
That girl is a master manipulator and seeing as she was the MC's Roommate she probably took her time to examine the MC's personality and relationships. She found an avenue of attack, being the ML, and it was pretty straight forward from there. Lawrence from the start was clearly a moron since they were children so all she had to do was whisper sweet things to him all the while staging certain events to completely ruin the MC. Strategy, surprise surprise, can be quite deadly. Grand Admiral Thrawn would praise it

The stupid things is that, she need to cry infront Lawrence after her presented the marriage promise shredded paper that glue together. Why the need to cry for loser like she still want him, so stupid !!! so weak !!! If I were her I will laugh happily to shreds that paper again 🤪
She was crying because it's all so sudden. The whole school condemned and isolated her without much warning because of Rita's careful planning, and after that Rita just kept kicking her while she was down. And worst of it is that Rita was even able to sink her claws into Lawrence who should know the MC isn't that type of person yet he turned on her without a second thought.
You still have to consider that she once loved him but he ruined that love and him constantly trying to get her to forgive him is ripping open wounds that are still fresh. She may not show it but you can definitely tell that she has PTSD. So it doesn't surprise me she still gets emotional when pushed too much
