Wow! I love how the FL is strong, stubborn, resolute, and snarky. She's not raking the hubby's bull$hit or excuses. It was totally inexcusable with that hair blowing scene with his ex in his house he shares with his wife. His wife might excuse his cold indifference to her but once she saw that half naked scene, she shut her heart down and went into action. Being an orphan doesn't mean she has to be anyone's victim and take their crap. I've noticed that these similar anime style dramas tend to have stronger FLs who have at least for the ones i've seen NOT taken the MLs back and have walked away from those toxic relationships. They seem stronger, snarkier, decisive, and acted more realistic in their thoughts and actions.
I can understand her... when i wanted to divorce my husband for cheating on me with my maid... everyone stopped me..just because he fell on my feet and after sorry ....I caught them red-handed on my bed... Even my parents wanted me to forgive him for the sake of my two daughters...they said " Time will heal"...no one understood me.. when I said " Trust is like a mirror... once broken ..you can't put it back to original... even after years crack will always be there" My trust in him is broken... I can't live with him with doubts in my heart... Even after 7 yrs we are just separated..still working on divorce...( He is living with some other woman but still refusing to let me go)😢
I find watching these love stories more interesting than reading the novels or watching the short dramas. In novels, the FL always goes back to the ML. In this story and several ones I have read, the FL remained strong and left the ML in the end. Something different.

Like mother like son. Ruining Flora's life not once but twice. The husband had to have been aware of all the difficulties she had growing up, right? He's rich, there's hundreds of ways to help her in secret, why did it have to include being married to her? I'm pretty sure he kept her in the dark because he knew she could sue him for inheritance if she'd have known. Only explanation I can think of.

She should have created a live-scene with her sitting, a man drying her hair. Him coming in and witnessing this with his own eyes. Seeing it is more powerful then just imagining it. It would have made things more clear quickly, and the story would have been a bit funny.

If they are divorced without your involvement then thats different.....but to willfully destroy a family because of your selfish desires is unacceptable.
I've read a story like this elsewhere but with a different ending where they both reconcile together. At that time, I hated the ending because I believed that the ML did not deserve a 2nd chance. But this time in this story, I found myself strangely rooting for their reconciliation.

Because all she's ever experienced in her life, is betrayal & disappointment. On top of all THAT, she learns that the man she's loved & has sacrificed so much for, manipulated & tricked her . The man that she has given her all too, only married her because of her shitty mothers final wish. She was basically his charity project, & a responsibility he took on, just to fulfill his mothers dying wish.
If he an honest & good man. He would've told his wife about his EXE's situation & asked if she could stay in THEIR home. While he stayed in a hotel. He wouldn't have been drying her hair lovingly, while she's half naked, wearing HIS shirt, & alone in his marital home.

I was losing hope that there are any decent authors left out there. No pocket books, novels, even resorted to comics of every kind be it jap, kor & chinese, could I find a sane story with a decent plot! And comics (especially web comics/toons) have authors who make me worry for their authors if they find pleasure writing probably their own maso fantasies into paper, it's alarming they want the MC to end up all the time w/ an abuser. 😅
