    It‘d be cool if she ended up as a God of another pantheon, maybe as a savior similiar to Kratos, also ending up as a God of War. The story could revolve around Atreus being sad that Calliope is more like Kratos than he is and continue with that dynamic, maybe Atreus and Calliope end up separated from everyone else and during their adventure, Atreus slowly takes over the role Kratos had when Atreus and him were together in the Norse games

    I think there is plans for Calliope to return, but not in the way we expect. It could either go that shes still angry at Kratos for abandoning her and destroying greece or shes grown to be a helper of people. Being part god she likely has some powers, even if they are weak. Based on what we know she could be a healing type of god, and maybe she helped the people post God of War III and was raised to a seat of authority, like a queen or some sort. If we do get an Atreus story I believe its likely they will meet, unless we get Kratos returning to Greece first

      Calliope isn’t exactly part god because we have to remember that Kratos was born a Demigod first, only after killing Ares and ascending to the throne did he become a full fledged god of war.
      Which would make her only a quarter god, but tbh it might actually be possible because even if in some way she did have the ability to draw out her powers as a god (even as a quarter), she could have a role in restoring Greece.

    I have a completely depressing idea for what they can do with Calliope if she comes back. So my idea is that Calliope gets freed from the Elysium Fields after Kratos kills Hades and has a second chance at life. With a new life Calliope gets her human body back and can now age into an adult. However she is forced to still have the physical scar of her death and unfortunately she hasn't found peace. Why??? Well she is completely broken and traumatized from what happened to her. Logically speaking an 8 year old girl wouldn't be mentally well if she got murder by her own father and then got reunited with him only for him to abandon her without telling her why.
    When freed Calliope tried to find her mother but Lysandra was in the Asphodel Meadows which is the neutral afterlife for people who lived normal lives. If you don't know people in the Asphodel Meadows are forced to forget there past life/identity and live in tranquility. That means Lysandra lost all her memories and doesn't remember her daughter. This breaks Calliope's heart because she wants to be with her mother but there relationship can never be the same. So now not only did she lose her father but now she lost her mother as well. She's truly alone.
    Which brings me to Athena eventually finding Calliope and decided to manipulate her because of how vulnerable she is. If she can't use Kratos as a pawn, then surely she can use Calliope. So Athena tells Calliope the truth of her death and the other crimes Kratos's commited. This causes resentment to from towards Kratos and she molds it into hatred and rage. She tells Calliope that Kratos has left Greece and made a new family. That he replaced her. This makes Calliope furious and Athena and encourages her to embrace her anger. Which leads to Calliope down a dark path of wanting to kill her own father and Athena helps Calliope with her goals by training her and giving her Godly power.
    Tbh I just think it would be poetic if the cycle of violence Kratos tried to break continues. It's a tragic idea that such heavy trauma and lack of support changed a happy little girl into a broken woman. Btw deep down she's still has a good heart but right now she's just deeply hurt.

    • @Danielkh233
      @Danielkh233 Před 5 měsíci +3

      I had the same theory but mine was like that calliope after returning from Elysium to life she faces traumatic life having endless nightmares she becomes a thief to for living
      Monsters attacking villages so she doesn't have any place to call home then she discovers about her father cause people frequently talking about the Ghost of Sparta she finds Kratos paintings and learns about his stories for what he has done then after a while she discovers her Godly blood so she decides to join remaining Olympian Gods but she is afraid but finally she tells her truth to an oracle that people lost believe in and that's when Athena finds out about her from this Oracle so she Gives her what she couldn't even ask for a comfort life a home making her too close to herself after these Years passed their bond got stronger so now no matter Athena is right or wrong she would anything for her and it would be too much of a challenge for Kratos.

    Let’s say a prison’s (the underworld/tartarus) wardens die, the inmates escape, there’s no one to keep them contained. Than there’s an orphanage (elysium) whose overseers are gone, the children flee as well. So my theory is, she indeed is outside of elysium and maybe there was some remnant of magic left behind or some godly divine power that allows her to live and age slower, OOOOR variation 2 where she inherited THE ability of Kratos to absorb powers, since you know the draupnir spear is made with his blood, and what does it do, siphon the powers (elements in-game) of the enemies

      Great theory which in my opinion makes a lot of sense considering the power of _Hope_ which could (and should) be able to affect Calliope just as much as it affects every single mortal within the greek world following the events of GoW 3. As i've commented in other threads i feel she could become a "Goddess of Hope" similar to Kratos courtesy of her still been technically a demigodess with magical powers which can be enhanced by the power of Hope.

    Thats like saying Faye is alive because Kratos went into the light when he heard her voice. The Elysium fields is the afterlife for mortals in the ancient greek religion. Anyone who enters can physically interact with the dead but the soul cannot leave unless Hades granted them permission and a body. You only stay long enough for your soul to achieve peace before being cleansed of all memories and reborn into the world. Calliope in all likely hood has been reborn and her memories of Kratos gone forever

    • @javiervasquez625
      @javiervasquez625 Před 5 měsíci +2

      Remember this is _God of War_ not an accurate adaptation of the greek myths (Atlas and the Blade of Olympus says hi) so as far as anyone is concerned nothing has been written in stone as to wether Calliope underwent any "cleansing" of her soul like it happens in the actual greek myths. It's far more likely that after Hades was killed her physical body was allowed to leave Elysium in order to become a part of the living world once more.

Since Calliope doesn't have either it's possible she lacks the same level of power as her father to justify her becoming just as strong.

      As to what you said regarding Kratos lacking the power of Hope for most of GoW 1's storyline it's funny you don't aknowledge the fact it was the lack of the power of Hope which made him vulnerable to Ares's attack. Calliope is in the same situation as GoW 1 Kratos.

      It is a rather confusing question which i don't think Cory Barlog and company have properly addressed as of Ragnarok given the very creation myths surrounding the many pantheons which make no sense should all the pantheons exist simultaneously across different regions of the _real world._ My headcanon is that there's some magical "barrier" which seperates the pantheons in specific realms allowing them all to exist in their own universes. Here's to hoping we'll someday fully understand how all the mythologies make sense of one another.

    This is reaching. We don't even know if age is a factor in Elysium. And Calliope never killed family so she is not cursed with gaias immortality. Kratos also had to commit "sins" to leave Elysium. Sure hades died and souls were released from hades but perhaps those were yet to be judged. Because cronos was still trapped after hades death. Along with Hephaestus. I think that if you're soul was already laid to rest or cast to tarturas you were still stuck. But those who where waiting didn't know where to go therefore retuning to the surface.

    • @JonFord
      @JonFord  Před 5 měsíci +2

      Lots to unpack here.
      The whole Gaia immortality is a myth.. Gaia did not make Kratos immortal. The only person who knows why hes immortal is Cory.
      You bring up the sins thing, but that was for Kratos just to get his strength back. Kratos could leave anytime.
      Not like that matters cuz Hades is dead we literally saw souls go back to the world of the living. But we don't know if Elysium souls can do that.
      The Titans like Cronos and atlas weren't souls. But prisoners in Tartarus. They didn't die to get to Tartarus.
      Yes she could still be a kid.
