It's one of a kind experience, hearing those engines approaching from the darkness then shooting like a dart into the darkness back again as silence draws in
I'm taking my Dad to Le Mans next year. He has never followed endurance racing, so he has no idea of what to expect, or how the cars are. I just showed him this video tonight, at first he nearly fell out of his chair, and then he was absolutely mesmerised. I think he's going to have a good time at the 2023 24 Hours!
I took my dad in 2013 and he was hooked. Took my 2 brothers with us in 2014 and they were like 9 year olds all over again. Been a yearly fixture ever since!
My dad used to take me to the 24 Hours. Our first experience was in 1970, invited by Matra. Cherry on the cake: we meet and had a chat with Steve McQueen.
thank you SO much for sharing this with us.. I played this on my home theater at full blast.... man, gave me chills... hearing the different engine variations and just hearing the approaching sound of the roaring engine and then the passing and flying away.. oh man.. amazing..
Crazy how quiet the Audi are, as well as how much faster the P1 cars are moving. It's one thing to see them from onboards but this really shows the closing speed they have on all the other groups.
All of them are just wow but those LMP2 they blast everyone else only the 458 is big as them and the Audis are like stealth lol oh my ya gota love WEC and LM.
The speed of the top lmp1 is just incredible. You see the gt and lmp2 go by and you think that pretty quick then you see an audi, Toyota or Porsche and it makes the other cars seem slow.
Old video, but why some cars are flashing brake lights long before chicane, or are they just flames from exhaust pipes (which occur when lifting off from gas, not expert on this though)?
Very good video, i have also video like this. It's very stunning in real. But it's not mulsanne, it's les hunaudieres just before the first chicane 😉👍🏻
Top man! good spot you found there! I should have my mad Friday video uploaded sometime today (17th June) so checkout my channel. I will also get my Blackops from Porsche curves uploaded soon soon

Le Mans 24H 2023 are the 100 Years of the race!, it's a great opportunity to you to be there next year with your dad

Hope you have fun this weekend!
Makes the hair stand up.....state or the art machines, screaming along.
this is the absolute best sounding video on youtube, thank you for sharing that experience
@@martens132 Haha yes! I thought exactly the same thing. This vid is good, but the 88 Mulsanne is something else.
the 88 video just blows this away as it shows the straight as it used to be relentless and full on
0:20 What a badass sound from the Corvette's
Alvaro - You must mean at 00:23 because... at 0:18 a lone Audi R18 speeds by.

Home theatre?
@@Jesko. yup...
Those freaking 458 Italia GTE cars, man those sounds............. and that downshifting from distance........
Incredible how good the smartphone cameras are now. I only wish this video was longer. Thanks.
Wot 6 years ago. Nowadays it's even better sir. But this video is crazy good considering its 6 yrs ago.
The swoosh of the Audi's and the thunder sounds of the Corvettes 🙌 🙌
2:02 Oooooh God the Audi
Spaceship 👽

It's amazing to visually see the difference in the P1s even on this video!!!
What a beautiful symphony!
Every echoing engine in the background creates a heavenly atmosphere, and that's before they all teleport in front of your eyes
All of them are just wow but those LMP2 they blast everyone else only the 458 is big as them and the Audis are like stealth lol oh my ya gota love WEC and LM.
Corvettes baby!
The speed of the top lmp1 is just incredible. You see the gt and lmp2 go by and you think that pretty quick then you see an audi, Toyota or Porsche and it makes the other cars seem slow.
0:38 I would love to know what this is, the downshifts sound so aggressive and raw
That would be a Ferrari 458 Italia :)
thanks so much for posting this, so amazing, great audio, headphones at the loudest setting was wonderful !
OMG that was beautiful! Great Video! Thank you!
Thank you so much for this. I hope that someday I can go to see it for myself!
Be careful though. You will be addicted. I went in 1986 and I've been every year since.....
That sounds.. I'm going crazy.
I have a three months delay I know , but i just ... damn! This has to be the most beautiful thing i've seen on CZcams!
Goose bumps 😁.. Love it. Thnx for charing
2:16 sounded like a Corvette.
It is a corvette C7R
This is -probably- the best Mulsanne Straight video to date.
Nah the Mulsanne 88 video is the best as it shows the straight as it used to be raw and full on relentless on the engines
just posted my own little video of the Mulsanne. was DEFINITELY worth the two hour trek in the dark.
Came here from your video. Great work.
That engine was awesome !!!
you can hear those 458s for miles, shuch a shame that everything is turbocharged now
0:23 RSR😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

There's a video like this on the mulsanne straight from 1988
This video deserves millions of views... And millions of likes.
Amazing. The only thing I don't understand about this is how anyone could have given it a thumbs down.... ??? Really???
Oh my goood! Love it!
That is just soooo awesome.
Wow! You found a really good spot!
🏁Merci pour la vidéo.🏁 👍👍👍
Under the full moon... priceless!

Incredible sounds!! I especially liked the ones @ 0:01, 0:35, 1:01, 1:21, 2:05 & 2:46. Which manufactures are these?
Ferrari 458 in the LM GTE class all of them are.
Thank you.
They are all 458 GTE's
Magical 24h I bet
Cool!
this c7r @ 2:17 is sooo insane...kranker scheiss!!!
Christ almighty that Corvette is loud
porsche❤️
Magic, life closer to god
Question, how do you access this part of the track? I’m attending for the first time next year and would love to sit here for hours.
I think that you need to walk on the DUNLOP Bridge that connect both sides of the circuit
@@DaveyPTY thanks friend
@@DaveyPTY It's Not Allowed to be on that part of Track

paavo665 maybe to ensure their brakes are works / double checking it since they works for very long term. just my opinion.
They are testing the brake pressure after such a long straight.
0:30 was that a 919? Looked roughly as fast as the audi in 2:02.
Are you allowed to get that close? I'm going next year and want to get as close to the action as possible.
+LeadFootLiam
Do think twice about it though... There would not be much between you and those vehicles travelling at 200+ mph.
No.
Very good video, i have also video like this. It's very stunning in real. But it's not mulsanne, it's les hunaudieres just before the first chicane 😉👍🏻
Listened to this with headphones in and now there’s white stuff in my boxers 🤤
@The midlands angler
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
hahahaah who is this on the right side at 2:55 xD
What the hell passed at 2:03? That thing was flying.
that my friend was an audi r18, back in the LMP1 days
I have a strange tingling sensation in my private area...hmm..strange
