- 24 Heures Du Mans 2014. Right up to the barriers on the famous Mulsanne straight, 3:30 in the morning, 320 KPH. Turn your speakers up, all the way up for this!
Best. Race. Ever. A big fan of formula 1 but there's nothing like 24 hours of Le Mans racing. Night driving with them loud engines and bright headlights are the best!
I recommand to any human on plantet earth to go to Le Mans at least once, specially in very early morning when the sunset begins, very few spectators, morning dew, drunk bodies sleeping on the ground, the pine trees silouhette, the resonance of the engines... the feeling is... supernatural... It's something else, can't even explain...
YOUENNNN I’ve done twice with mates plus a few crates of beer and a blow up paddling pool in the forest. Always snuck to the edge of Mulsanne Straight at night avoiding Le Commissariat de police.

The Aston Martin Vantage V8 sounds very similar to the Corvette, and it won the LMGTE Class ahead of the Vette!

A Nikon point and shoot with 1080p video recording capabilities. Yeah that close to the circuit you have to be alert for the rozzers but it's totally worth it. This was just north of the restaurants on the infield side.
+Robert Clarke I got lost a number of times trying to find a good spot at night... should of scoped it out in the day, but yeah... rozzers about. One year I will get to the mulsanne at night.

It's crazy how far away you can hear the cars! At 1:17 when that (Ferrari?) goes by you can still hear it, downshifting for the first chicane a good 15 seconds later.

It's amazing to see these white and yellow lights suddenly illuminating the track in darkness and passing by at 280kph.
I think it’s over 300km/h+. 280km/h is a bit slow for Le Mans cars now.

+MaXGTS1 Saturation of the audio, that close at those speeds, the camera has a hard time "collecting" all the data it's been sent.

Aston Martin DBR9
DBR9 didn't race in 2014. It's most likely the Aston Martin Vantage V8 though, the Corvette has a rolling thunder sound that has more bass than the Aston. Also the Aston runs those deep amber lights where the Corvette has slightly brighter yellow.
Definitely a Vette as it has that distinctive "rolling thunder" sound
Too bad you didn't shoot in the other direction- the visuals would better complement the sound.
