- I've had lots of fun building tanks from Temu and buying aquarium accessories from Temu - but this time I want to build a fish tank on the cheap to show how it can be done on a budget!

The banana for size reference tickled me pink 😂😂😂
I love what you do on your channel! Very nice Video! I am in the process of buying a 55 gallon aquarium, a stand, filter, hose, light, and hood for $80! I am hoping no one else will buy it.
Just watched Fridays live stream! that was hilarious 😂 why are comments turned off for that video? Loved the nocturnal glimpse into Graham!
Just caught up and watched! Comments turned off is annoying, loved it! G is the man haha!
Fun concept and nice video, thanks for sharing! It was nice to see a little bit of how mega tank is doing too
Thanks for watching
This was how I started. I caught some gambusia from a local spring as well as some aquatic plants, bought a 10gal off Facebook for 15$ with a light, black sand and tiny chunks of red lava rock, and a hob filter. For several months, I was all in about 45 $ for food, organic soil, and the tank setup. Then I caught multi-tank syndrome 😂😂😂😂
Yep I started with a 10 gallon and locally sourced hardscape materials… 6 months lasted I have 7 tanks ranging from 5-60 gallons all fully planted.. I don’t know what happened
Right second comment now after watching the video! Looks really good, just goes to show that you don't need to spend hundreds to get a nice looking tank! Great job!
This was fun! It’s always nice to see you having a good time! I think that the tank turned out great and it was really nice to have a couple extra peeks at mega tank. ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
Reckon the blue pebbles glow in the dark lol. And maybe the gravel is JBL Monado?
Fantabulous Graeme, Graemina would be proud 😁🤗💙
Came out nicely!
Thanks!
go with black window film Graeme, nice and easier than painting I find. Looks brill
Graeme, the roots from the epiphytes do not need to be placed in the soil, I know you have stated the rhizome doesn't. I'm pretty sure the roots shouldn't be placed in soil/substrate but not 100% on that.
The roots can be placed in the substrate, it’s just important to keep the rhizome above the substrate, I did a little experiment where I took two anubias barteri and buried the roots of one, and wedged the other under a piece of driftwood. The one with its roots buried grew significantly faster and larger than the other one. I know this is a very small sample size, but in my experience anubias will grow faster and larger when the roots are planted
That good to know.
Oh yeah let's go, I'm first to comment! Don't know about what yet, but let's find out lol
Nice one 54 ltr aquael tank
Thanks 👍
They look like those glow rocks u can get. Your daughter might like them, or put them outside by a path.
Great video topic Graeme. As Jack say's you don't need to spend hundreds and there are some good bargains on YT if you weed out all the stupid listings.
Money well spent
Sometimes I can't understand aquarists mind set,in old tank I'm buying just glass,I'll buy silicone and reseal,on factory tanks I'll see the equipment and the canopy,....
1.st sentence continue to do your job, you're doing great
just my opinion....u should use a more relaxing sound n made sound sound fade slowly once u want to start talking 😊
