Whole callers idea of morality is a “get out of jail free” card. As long as he believes in Jesus he can do anything without any accountability.
And that faith does absolutely nothing for the sinned against. Christianity is incredibly selfish.
It's ironic that these guys talk about objective morality. They can commit as many horrible things that a human can do and in the afterlife, they get the same reward as someone who didn't commit any sin. All that's needed is to believe the story that a few day of suffering of a designated scape goat.

PS it's disingenuous for any atheist to ask for evidence for God because atheism is a disbelief in God which means it's an unwillingness or inability to accept God. Even lack of belief equates to unwilling to accept.
But even more important than to find meaning of atheism proving that it's an unwillingness or inability to accept God there's an argument based in physical evidence that proves atheism is an unwillingness or inability to accept God.

Indeed. It’s an unfalsifiable claim. It’s as if they’re asking us to prove unicorns don’t exist. The burden of proof doesn’t lie with the person that’s merely unconvinced, it lies with the claimant. They claim gods exist, so they need to present evidence to that claim.

I, as an atheist, would love there to be a blissful afterlife and a benevolent god to exist, I would absolutely be willing to accept such a concept, if only it was proven to exist first. It doesn’t even have to be through the scientific method. If this god is omniscient and omnipotent, it should know exactly what it would take to convince me of its existence, but it hasn’t. Without proper evidence, I will remain unconvinced. Belief is not a choice. You’re either convinced of something, or you’re not. We don’t choose “willingly” to not “accept” your specific god, we are merely still waiting for _any_ deity to be proven. Anecdotal testimonies and archaic texts written by bronze age desert folk in a time of little scientific knowledge about the world around them just isn’t enough.

He keeps saying "thousands of manuscripts" as if they're complete texts. These are fragments, tons and tons of tiny pieces, not complete works. Most of them are less than half a page. I'm pretty much convinced the caller does not understand this.
Manuscripts are nothing but stories, there being is not proof of what they claim, not one is sourced, verified and corroborated by any known to have existed persons by that same criteria.
Also, they're not originals and they're copies, meaning that they did a good job of copying another manuscript, hence we don't know if they correlate with the original at all.

Here's how weak and lazy JEdith's thinking is. He doesn't consider that belief and disbelief presupposes cognition. It's not clear if he's just incapable of higher thought or incapable of being honest.
His fallacious thinking would lead you to think that a rock is a virgin. Or that a mountain is a virgin. I am assuming that JEdith doesn't have sex with inanimate objects. For example, his body pillow of his waifu character would not be a virgin.

We live in a natural world. Not a supernatural one. The existence of something is not evidence of anything other than its existence. The natural world existed long before man created the superstitions.
I do not follow gods as I have no need for them. I believe in those things that I am able to observe. I have knowledge of them. How can superstition be knowledge? Is it not a source of contention?

Our local troll JEdith, currently using the @JimCastleberry alt brings up the Wistar symposiuhm to claim that PhD mathematicians proved that "natural abiogenesis" is impossible. Of course, he's woefully and ignorantly wrong, and all he's doing is parroting what he's read on some creationist site.
The Symposium which was titled, “Mathematical Challenges to the NeoDarwinian Interpretation of Evolution,” but contrary to what creationists think, it did NOT overturn "NeoDarwinian" evolution.
The evolution critics were physicists and engineers presenting mathematical models that suggested that random mutation and natural selection doesn't account for the observed complexity of life. And the biologists at the symposium argued that the models presented were too simplistic. And after the symposium, it DID cause scientists to further research population genetics, developmental biology, and the role of neutral mutations in evolution.
And there has been MUCH development on the evolutionary model, such as the neutral theory of molecular evolution. In the meanwhile, creationists keep referring to objections presented in 1966 and can't come up with any research that build on the Symposium presentations. These creationists basically think all science stopped at the moment that they have found some objection. Many of them think evolution is just what Darwin laid out in his Origin of Species.
The creationists STILL use the same arguments. For example, that the chance of forming a protein 150 amino acids long of a SPECIFIC sequence would be needed to get life going and it forming randomly would be improbabilistic. But this view is completely simplistic and doesn't take into account any selection, AND the assumptions that a SPECIFIC amino acid sequence was NECESSARY to start life is just wrong on its face. Yet, creationists keep mentioning this, ignoring the CONSTANT corrections that scientist provide.
Regurgitating old talking points may be silly, but it is easier than thinking!
The chance that a infinitive being (god) exists, is infinitely unlikely.
If it has no beginning and no end, if it is eternal, than that god, could never created the universe, earth or us, because there would be an infinitive amount of time, BEFORE the creation and as such, it couldn't happen!

Even more so, to arbitrarily break it all up into verses, and then pluck those verses when it's convenient to make some theological point, based on "the word of God," is even more irrational. They'd be better off to say they don't care if the accounts are accurate or not, they're going to consider it the word of a god anyway.

For me, the worst thing about Christianity is what the caller said Christianity is all about, having all our sins forgiven if we accept Jesus as our savior. What this means is that if Hitler had truly accepted Jesus as his savior, Hitler and I could end up in the same place for all eternity assuming I do the same. Not that I think there’s an afterlife, heaven is real, or Jesus was the son of god, but I can’t be part of any system that would provide a loophole for someone like Hitler to potentially end up in the same place as me. It’s a totally screwed up system that I want no part of and needs to be forgotten as time goes on.

The problem is simply that genetics doesn't work exclusively in Mendelian ways - 1 gene for each separate trait.

Basically, the candidate-gene based method of determining trait heritability for complex traits did not match what we expected based on twin studies. And this was discovered because we started getting genome-wide data.
So guess what? Scientists don't rely on candidate gene determination for trait heritability. This was 16 years ago. It hasn't upended genetics.😂😂😂
