@@tosuchino6465 That's because she wanted to preach and not debate. In her mind, she's being the perfectly rational person and she can't wrap her mind around why anyone can't accept her preaching. She's sure that atheists will just convert if she's just allowed to talk about her doctrine without any questions being asked. The churches (and mine was notoriously bad about this when I was still a Southern Baptist) has convinced them that atheists will just fall down onto their knees and repent when they are bold and assertive in their bible thumping. Then when they actually try it, like in this case here, they run smack dab into reality.

You continue to avoid the fact that until one can admit their sinful condition they will never be regenerated (born again, born of the Spirit, born from above) and they will die in their sins and guilt because of unbelief. I don't always make the smartest decisions. Listening to people like Denise makes me feel better about myself. I'm never that bad.
This show was one of the first (may have been the very first) AXP shows I watched when I mustered the bravery to question my religion. For me, Denise's call worked like a high-speed on-ramp to the path of reason.
I'm not sure if judging your worldview off of a woman from a facebook group who clearly seems a little off was your best move.

Isn’t there a moment in one of the Gospels where Jesus told a paraplegic man that his sins were forgiven? Or there was him telling one of the men hanging on a cross that he'd be with him in paradise that day.
If then, he could just forgive people instead of doing all this drama.

It's never "Jesus wants to save you" "Jesus loves you unconditionally" "Jesus is giving you eternal blessing". The very crux of Christianity is guilt. It's all about guilt. Jesus died for you.

Reminds me of the story, I can’t remember the native chief’s name on the island of Hispaniola, but the Spanish conquistadors were trying to force him to convert by using the best tortures their Christian love could concoct.
Just before they murdered him, they asked one last time if he would convert, confess and therefore be admitted to heaven.
He replied, “do the Spanish go to heaven?”
The priest said yes and the chief replied, “ then I’ll go to hell.”

So people with mental illness that have no control over their thoughts or actions send themselves to Hell? What if someone is forced to do something like commit crime or “sin”? What if a person does something that hurts a random stranger and they don’t know?
Sins don't send people to Hell . Jesus has already paid the price for everyone's sins and he doesn't hold them against you , you are forgiven if you will accept his gracious offer and turn from your sins and acknowledge that you can't save yourself , that you need him to save your soul , then you will be saved . Why do I need to accept his offer? I didn’t ask for it and I don’t believe I need it. I don’t believe sins exist either. If murder is a sin, why does god tell people to slaughter entire nations? Why does god himself kill people? What can’t I save myself from? God’s wrath? Damnation? Didn’t god create the damnation? That sounds like a threat. I’m not gonna commit to something or someone that threatens me with things I don’t believe.
And I don’t know what a “soul” is nor do I believe they exist.
I’m not gonna subscribe to the ideas you propose because I don’t see a good reason to do so. And if you are being serious about this and not a troll, I don’t think you should subscribe to these ideas either.

It's simply amazing to me...after decades of realizing believing in the whole 'life after death' has so little basis...how certain others are that it IS going to happen that they know exactly what one must do to prepare for it.
