for those asking about the accent. she is american ex pat who has probably spent more years out of the US, than in. as typical with those who spend so many years over seas, she picks up the accent from being immersed in it. i am quite sure her accent fades in and out depending on if she is talking to an american vs a brit. (like a new yorker in florida who's accent gets MUCH stronger when he/she goes home)

When in the company of Brits, her British accent comes to the fore, but she switches to her American accent when she's surrounded by Americans. She doesn't have to think about it, she has two natural accents, and she can switch between the two as naturally as breathing. With respect, I don't think it has anything to do with her artistic or sensitive nature, and has everything to do with where she was raised during her formative years.

Actually she is Amercian. Born in Chicago then moved to the UK from age 2-10. That explains the accent but I'm sure she's manufacturing a bit of it.
