I saw her once on 'the late show with david letterman' once, and I was surprised by how fun loving she seemed. I had only known here as Scully. And I know this thing called acting where she does not have to act like her character. But I was just so surprised by the delta. Kind of like Rosa Diaz and Stephanie Beatriz.

In north America, a VW Rabbit is a car. Dunno if it's official, but in her defence, that's what we call VW hot hatches over here. It's a tiny car, and it gives 'er, whatever....the ones that are fast are called rabbits, the ones that aren't are called whatever VW calls them....we usually compare them to grocery getters.....do you have a VW Rabbit or a VW whatever hatchback?

The funny thing is that whenever Gillian accidentally swears in her dialogue, it seems totally in character until she reacts to the gaffe.

The sign of a great actor is how much they disappear into any role and become so far removed from their real life persona. That is so true with Gillian Anderson, not least with her role as Mrs. Thatcher in The Crown, which she absolutely killed. But away from that, as we see here and in a lot of other places, she's a genuinely lovely lady.
