I've been watching a lot of Alexander Rybak's songs in the past few days, and this is my favorite so far. As a violinist, I love the difficulty and intricacy of the violin part; he pulls off complex technique quite masterfully. As a singer, I enjoy the more "legit" style, with vibrato and real exploration of his full range. Maybe he should become a jazz/pop musician. This song certainly makes a strong case for that path. Wonderful.

The best part is that he has made it all by himself. Composing, writing lyrics, playing the violin and sing. And also arranging it all for the orchester to play. I am so amazed about Foolin and he was only19-20 years old doing this masterpiece! Of all his songs and all his talent, Foolin is Alexander Rybak for me :)
what i love about him is that he's simple, honest, down to earth and thats how he charms me. He's got a beautiful voice and he's an amazing violinist. This song comes from his heart and touches people all over.
He's awfully talented... He does it so well incorporating his mad violin playing with current music. For many the word "violinist" means classical music but not w/ Alex. He makes it hip to play classical instrument. Not only does he have amazing vocals he knows how to make the girls go gaga by capturing the camera in all his videos. Pay attention to his eyes he is literally sing directly to you!

"Песняры" пели белорусские народные песни. В том числе и "Купалинку", которую поет Александр. Если хотите "Песняры"это музыкальная грамота любого белорусского музыканта , да и не только. Это уже "классика" не знать,которую невозможно.
