    Abelard and Cassia are putting people thru the blender for me.

      God Cassia is not a blender, but the whole slaughter house. My character is a Noble/strategist. I throw every buff on her and just let it be.

    For me there is a huge difference of character's value depending on the part you are in the story. Early on, Cassia is a beast - because the enemies usually have very low health (wounds). She can clear the field fast and target individuals with stronger single-target powers. But later in the game, I didn't find her very useful as a damage dealer, but her as an officer and a strategist - amazing!
    What is universally useful is a sniper. My character is sniper/officer, later tactician. Gives extra turns, buffs, snipes a few stragglers here and there, and later, with momentum stacks, can deliver devastating precision shots that can half the health of even the biggest enemies. I actually used Idira for another earlier game sniper (so I had two) until Yrliet comes along (sniper/assassin).
    What came as a surprise as I didn't find her very useful at the start, was Argenta. She is OK at first, nothing spectacular, but later... dear Emperor on the throne... I had boss fights that didn't reach the second turn because of her. When I got into 20's levels, she just clears up dozens of enemies from the field, or several 200-300+ health ones in a single turn. Just give her the bolter and see the Emperor's Wrath descend upon your foes!
    Pasqal is so and so, usually keep him for skill checks, a few buffs, occasional encounter with heavily armored/mechanical enemies (he can use melter and plasma weapons from the start).
    But to be honest, Abelard and Henrix as melee characters - meh. You definitely can have them, but majority of my fights (95% of them) don't even get to round 3. They are severely underutilized. Maybe when someone manages to breach my wall of fire, or I just want to rush in for some fun, but again, meh. Keep them around just in case.
    I have yet to recruit Ulfar and Marazhai, so maybe I change my party a bit. But Jae? Never bothered with her. To me she is a weaker Cassia/my character, no use for her on the team. And she is annoying. And criminal. And egocentric. But oh well, going for a completionist run the first time. Second time, she is going through the airlock XD

      i agree with a lot of what you said, but having recruted everyone, here is some extra insight. Ulfar is like argenta on steroids. way better version of her. jae is also amazing if built right (will share in future video) and combos with cassia amazingly. never used cassia as a dps as she is better used to min/max as SSS tier support. marazhai is ok. melee assassin, his ability is interesting, but as melee characters are weaker in this game dps wise than snipers/psychers imo, they are mainly there to soak up damage. or sadly sit around and never get a turn as i normally clear each encounter in 4-5 CHARACTERS (not turns) lol

      @@LeeroyGaming Makes sense for Ulfar, lore wise as well. Jae, I know, but she just doesn't fit my current setup. Maybe if I went with only one melee character, but I am always afraid of getting to a fight that might actually take longer than 1-2 turns and that I am going to need a damage sponge.
      Didn't happen yet, but I am always expecting it :D
      Also, she does not fit my crew role play style, I don't like her as a character... which is funny as I ended up romancing her, kinda just waltzed into that one I am afraid :D

    You should look at Pasqal’s all tab in his archetype talent slots. That’s where his mechanicus origin talents are at and if you’re not using them you’re massively missing out

      Im assuming the "origin talents" filter when you add talents? which ones do you mean in particular? Im seeing standard Death World Options (i wonder if my game is bugged and showing the wrong origin features?).

    Maybe i'm wrong but : Death world charaters have when they have temporary hit point, so cassia officer skill make very likely they will have that buff.

    Man, I had strong favorites earlier, now after around 100 hours I can say all can be really good in some ways. Also, not all classes come online at the same point on the leveling progress - Argenta is brutal in act 1, but now my Abelard, one I felt I'd discard early, is a murder machine during act 2.

      @Wustenfuchs109 Před 8 měsíci +1

      Argenta is a death machine, wrath of the Emperor incarnate in Act 2... if you build her right. She is OK in Act 1 (where enemies are weak and Cassia and sniper characters dominate the battlefield as damage dealers - especially Cassia as her powers always hit, while other characters are still building up weapons and ballistics skills).
      But Argenta, Act 2, if built well, can obliterate everyone before the fight is half way through 2nd turn. And I mean even boss fights.
      If you build her and the party well, she can put down 200-300 damage on average in a single attack. And, again if you built her and the party well, she can have 7-8 attacks in the first turn. That is more than enough to finish almost all fights in turn 1, and maybe leave the hardest ones to have turn 2 as well.
      I literally can't build up enough exploit stacks etc. that require battles to last a bit longer. Forge world boss? Fired once (and missed her due to huge agility). His mechanical beasts? Didn't get to fire once. She killed all of them. Pasqal had only one turn poor guy, and his move was literally the last one. That's probably the biggest fight you'll get before level 30.
      Long story short, Argenta is OP as hell if you build her right. One man army. I feel like I can go with her and two officers and not be afraid of any fight for the majority of the game.
      I can't even imagine what she will do if I give her a heavy bolter instead of a regular one...

      that is a good strategy (that I am highlighting in a future video) but there are WAY better characters to use this on than Argenta as you move forward. But even with her its deadly. In my strategy I clear 95%+ of encounters in one turn.

    did you know that pascal can get 0 AP plasma weapon attacks? (it can combine with officer's heroic act so that pascal's only limited by his magazine capacity)

  • @jonathanpickles2946
    @jonathanpickles2946 Před 8 měsíci +1

    My Argenta shot 25 times a round for 200+ damage crits at level 30. She's not going to get outshined by anyone. Shame she's dead*.
    Crit's are only +50% damage base, but again can get to x4 (or more I expect).
    Psi Rating is 0-4. She is 1-5 and it's reflected in her quoted rating; the tooltip is a bit misleading.
    *I know what you mean though - she might have lived if she wasn't getting upgraded.

There was an increase in loot from beta to release, but you’re telling me new items are added just for getting to act 4?

    I find Idira to be annoying, personality wise, once she started summoning demons on my ship I didn't even hesitate to command Argenta to put her down.
    I'm sorry but even if I liked her I know too much about the lore to let an unsanctioned psyker live who clearly can't control her emotions.

    • @LeeroyGaming
      @LeeroyGaming  Před 7 měsíci

      I do like that they have characters that have such polarizing personalities instead of them all being generic in nature. I also have not had her survive in any of my playthroughs except for my heretical playthrough. With that being said, if you do go heretical you can definitely twist her weakness into a strength. Embrace the Chaos.
