Don't forget to do a base coat for lighter/brighter colors! Loving the drip effect!
I am just about to paint my surfboard and this is it! LOVE THE DRIP EFFECT!
That Orion is sick mate
Thanks, man!
just amazing
Ahh, this is so dope! I've been doing skateboard art work acrylic fluid paints! Starting to venture out into spray paint!
supergurl24 that’s awesome! Send us some pics of your work!
Excelente trabalho !
A prancha e a pintura ficaram TOP !
Parabéns !!!!!
Bad ass! But literally the two colors sharks are actually attracted to lol
love it
Super sick
Thanks!👍
Love that drip effect! And I like how you kept the logo instead of just painting over it (seen a few people do that) I've always thought that made it look tacky or like a "home job" (it is, but nobody needs to know that 😜)
Same! We love a good logo!
Muito bacana!!!
Question for you.. after the drip, did it not dry with a build up instead of being flat/smooth? Just curiuous because I want to give this a try.
sick, man.
Thanks!
Very epic effect, but seeing as the black drip is a thicker layer?
Do you sand it does to be even or does the clear coat level it off?
I guess I’m wondering on how it feels to the touch.
Do you feel the drips and extra black paint and if it feels smooth, how did you get that result?
looks like a huge candy corn, but its still sickk
How’d it last? Did it chip after a while.
Can you spray foam boards like a beater or something
I don’t think that will work. At least not with regular acrylic spray paint. A specialty paint store may have a recommendation.
So after painting and clear coating have you experienced the traction pad not sticking as well or peel up? got a new stick for kitesurfing and wanna give it some personality but afraid that my full deck pads won't stick. Any advice? tnx
Pedro Monsalve we have never had an issue with the pad coming off after it’s been clear coated. If the board is clean before you paint it and you don’t put super thick paint on it, it should be ok. Also, if you feel like doing the extra work, you can always tape off and cover existing pads then paint around them. Not a big deal with a small pad, but in your case it might be a lot. Good luck! Send us a pic of the finished board!
@@GromItTV Kewl tnx for the info, Yeah I'll let u know for sure.
will the spray paint stay on during surf or do you need to put like a sealer above it.
Hey! Yes. You will need to clear coat with an acrylic gloss. 👍
What do you use to get all the wax off?
We put it in the sun to let it melt, scrape it all off with a wax scraper, and all the leftover residue comes off with a rag or fine grit sandpaper. Anything after that would have to come off with some type of solvent like Goo Gone.
The acrylic clear coat is enough to seal the color?
Yes! It works great! We use gloss.

Could see leaves and spirals on there. A landscapen dawn scene.
All white was way better!
Yeah ok thats petty cool I suppose
Does the clear coat seal the paint and make it less vulnerable to chipping and falling off?
Hi Stevo, yes, a clear coat is ideal to protect your artwork!
Grom-It has the paint held up since you first did this?
@@joshjohnson6573 Definitely!
One day in the surf and all that cheap paint gets washed away
If you use an Acrylic Clear Coat after you're done painting the board, that good quality paint won't wash away.
@@erikatarus9950 cool! thanks!
