6 months before covid hit a got my state license and went out on my own, it has turned into i got more than i can handle, luckily God has made a way for me i always seem to find someone to help me get the equipment set in place then they are gone, i can't find a nyone who is willing to do this full time, or i should say when its hot, one job in a 130 degree attic they start having second thoughts😎

My father was a masonry contractor in Phoenix. Many people would ask for jobs, jobs were always available. And when summer came many people would ask about their kid getting a summer job the answer was almost always yes. Best athlete, biggest guys, gym looking guys, people showing up without the clothes they were told to wear, because after all they don't want to get too hot. It was weekly drama, guys would work one day or two and just never return. Mostly because of shame. Young guys would show up at our house and near tears would say that the few days were all they could take and apologize for not being able to hang. We would go somewhere as a family and my dad would see a one or 2 day guy from time to time. When I was 14-15 had a job at an adobe block factory, flipping them and stacking them on pallets. They gave you long pieces of colored plastic, you laid the plastic strip across the pallet diagonal and then stack blocks on top at the end of the day boss takes a pen and clipboard and counts your work. Some guys would start and at lunch just quit. Walk off and never return or show up on Friday wanting pay for a few pallets or partial pallets they stacked before quitting,..he paid some of them.. some not..I had a job restraining a redwood fence around a church grown man started laying under a tree to hide from the sun and asked the boss if he could work at night because it was too hot in the daytime.. he took the job and the terms during the day!!! When you go to Mexico they often work 6 days a week for 9-10 hrs a day, no Porta potty and nobody being nice to each other. They come to the United States and make in an hour or hour and half what they made in Mexico for a days work. Country club!! And Americans want to rag on people who know how to work!! This country is getting too soft.. follow a car or motorcycle to a Door dash or Grub hub delivery and you can locate soft.. pink softness!!!

People do want to work, but not for $200 a day. You want a tech that can do solo service calls, that means experience. Anyone experienced is not working minimum wage. You cannot survive on $200 a day on Long Island unless the tech lives with a friend or in the parent's basement, are a loser, doesn't have a girlfriend/wife, and or life. You want someone professional, reliable, and to show up to work at 7am. That means getting up at 6am or earlier. For $200 a day, there are plenty of air conditioned office jobs around that start at 8 or 9am. For $200 a day, your potential employee base is very very limited. Just keeping it real!
