He has also become globally renowned as an author, pilot, broadcaster, brewer, businessman, sportsman, spoken-word performer, screenwriter and internationally successful solo artist.
His first solo album, Tattooed Millionaire, was released in May 1990, with its follow-up Balls To Picasso four years later (1994). It was on this second album that Dickinson first started working with guitarist Roy Z and despite a one album hiatus, he was joined again by him for all his subsequent solo studio albums - Accident Of Birth (1997), The Chemical Wedding (1998) and Tyranny Of Souls (2005).
Always on the back burner was a desire to create another solo musical project and in 2021 Dickinson finally had the opportunity to focus on that anew. He turned once more to Roy Z to work on some unfinished ideas together and that rapidly became his forthcoming seventh studio album: The Mandrake Project - Hudba

Not many people can leave the band that made them famous and then make two of the best metal albums of the decade (two of the best ever imo, especially chemical wedding). Bruce is a great talent and I’m glad he got to prove that outside of maiden.

About:
“Man of Sorrows” was about the young Aleister Crowley, Aleister Crowley as a boy. And what kind of feelings turn a twelve year old boy into, basically what inspires a twelve year old boy to make a life choice: ‘Hey, what do you want to be when you grow up?’ ‘I want to be the Antichrist.’

Aleister Crowley was an occultist and founder of Thelema. He considered himself to be the Antichrist. His most famous quote is; “Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law”, part of which is sung in the song.
The title refers to a passage in the Bible, Isaiah 53:3, where someone is called a man of sorrows.
The Man of sorrows in Isaiah 53:3 is clearly a prophecy of Jesus. If you read all the verses and put it in context it's plain to see.
Didn't know the stuff about Crowley, but I do know he was deceived and deceiving others. If you seek the True God of the Bible, He will reveal Himself to you.
