    I own the very same bike in the same color. This thing has a lot of character. This is NOT a boring bike to own and ride. The only 2 flaws it really has in my opinion are (1) NO ABS and NO TRACTION CONTROL The rear tire has been known to slip from under you and with that kind of torque it should have some traction control; and (2) the transmission is VERY CLUNKY. Shifting from 1st to 2nd sounds and feels like loading a rocket launcher. It can be fun here and there but when there's traffic and you need to shift a lot, it gets annoying. It actually feels like something will break.

      @Gaming_Biker Před rokem +1

      @@aidenp7232 Every single tester bike & new bike I've had from HD comes w/ clunky shifting, regarding going from neutral to first, & is difficult to get them into neutral. It doesn't persist past that point into higher gears. Considering I've ridden in an MC & met a large number of bikers in my multi-state area, 99% of which ride HD solely & say similar to what I did above, I'm just gonna go w/ it as common trait. I know you can adjust the shift linkage if all of your gears are sluggish or whatever, but that's not what I'm referring to.

Doesn't have cruise, windshield, bags, etc so not my ideal out-of-town cruiser, but nothing like it around town and shorter distance trips. Fat rear tire, but deceptively nimble...great for weaving traffic and quick maneuvering. Best single word to describe this machine is simply FUN! (And SEXY... sorry that's 2 words)!

    I just chose this bike for all the reasons mentioned. No gadgets, no frills, just simple pure brutality. It's true it takes time to tame the beast. Adjusting the shifter position improves usability A LOT in traffic. Both shifter and rear break come stock adjusted for a giant that is to low for 5'11, forcing your feet too low forward and rather your foot gets stock underneath the shifter or you can barely push the rear break lever. Those are easy to adjust and WOW what a difference in comfort and reaction time. Myne is perfect now and much easier to ride.

      @@patrickjamescruz8433 in both cases, if you loosen the nut and dismount the lever, you will notice notches, so you put it back at a position that suit you. Now, if you take the shell between the stand and the ignition out, you can fine tune the the shifter through this aluminum rod, that's the easiest part. You may be able to adjust the shifter to your taste only by adjusting that rod. For the break, it sits way too low for me to be able to use it correctly, I had no choice but tto ake ot off and reposition it at least one notche backward. Hope this helps.

    I have an ‘07 in black & chrome, all stock except for having a V-Stream screen fitted. I totally agree with your conclusions, for me this bike represents the essence of motorcycling and all the add on gadgets that other bikes have are kind of superfluous to the reason we love to ride. Power, looks, presence, sound are what it’s all about. The only modifications I’d like to see are ABS and perhaps a gear indicator, although I’ve learned to live without the latter. I wonder, do the newer models have ABS? Because if I ever trade mine in, it will only be for a newer model of the same bike. There is just one thing I haven’t tried yet, but definitely want to, and that is long distance touring across Europe. I’ve covered 400 miles in a day before and it felt fine, especially with the screen. The only drawback I can see is the lack of luggage space, but a section of the rear “duck tail” can be removed and a pillion seat fitted which allows you to also fit a couple of saddle bags. You can’t carry the kitchen sink but if like me you travel light and only need spare underwear, T shirt, shorts, washing kit etc, then it should be fine. I’m talking solo riding here (I also have a sissy bar but I never fit it, and even with that I’m not sure this bike would be so great for a passenger.)

    The M109R is a wicked bike. Great fun. Suzuki technology packed this bike with lots of punch and handling. The heads have GSXR Technology and the front end gives it great braking and handling. Can do burnouts on the move. 😁👍

      I’ve always heard that they call these the “Busa Cruiser” since apparently the Hayabusa development team had a big hand in the M109R.
      I love this thing. If I was a bike rider this thing would be my dream. It’s basically the motorcycle version of a C4 Vette with a built 502ci crammed into it. It’s big, it’s brash, it’s bold, it’s utterly ridiculous. But my God does it look and sound good and have the personality of a Pit Bull.

    Best bike ever is my '05 GSF 650 BANDIT, not a Bandit S, better than a Bandit S, more torque. One careful very cautious owner who basically ran it in for 15,000 miles and it pulls, fly's up steep, steep hills like its falling off a cliff. ACCELERATION, A PURE BIKING TREAT. REWARD FOR WANTING TO RIDE. And I ain't even lying.

    Crazy to say it but I’ve owned 5 of these bikes. I own one and sell it thinking I’ll try this or that. I soon get bored with a lack of performance and go back to the M109r. One thing I have found that really improves the ergonomics of the bike is to swap out the handlebar mounts for the aftermarket ones that move the handlebars two inches closer to the rider.
