It’s funny how most skaters have this free unwashed, no care look to them but in reality in my opinion and coming from an extensive fitness background, their strength flexibility and stamina is ridiculously elite.

Most definitely true as far as the stamina especially. The me who skateboarded could run circles around me now.
So true. Skaters are Op. I tried getting back into it a couple years back at 30. Was exhausted immediately, then severely rolled my ankle. It hurt for two years. Stamina, and flexibility has gotta be soo good. And it takes balls to throw yourself at concrete. So much more intimidating than it even looks.

The progression of skateboarding blows my mind. The spots/obsticles are always getting bigger. Bigger stairs,ledges,handrails, gaps, everything. Making every one of them more scary and dangerous. The guys are riding faster with more speed and intensity. And the tricks have gotten so technically insane. 4 decades later and I'm still loving skate vids!
