Yeah, because he is FS flip late back foot flipping ten stair somethings while @TheIdontCare444s do these down Lyon 25s for warmup 🤗 Tricks like that (or double hardflips & lazer flips) down gaps or stairs would barely get you flow in a serious skateboarding country like Phillipines or Indonesia, nevermind an AM position.

They all have incredible talent but different mentalities and work ethics influenced their presence on a board and within the sport. But that’s enough out of me!

I was waiting so much for this game, and it surpasses my expectations SO MUCH!!! My two favourite skaters of all time facing each other!!! I was more inclined to Luan's side cause Im brazilian, but Im not sad at all, this was history being made!! MUCH LOVE

Jamie has now made quick work of countless legends, flatground masters, and former champions. It's insane how consistent he is with the tricks he does. Never seen Luan take 4 letters on 4 straight tricks.
The legends became legendary by doing basic tricks over and over each season with great consistency. But in this time and age when skaters can pull out create ass tricks, the legends are the real underdogs imo

Jamie impressed me here. Luan drew blood with 2 letters, but Jamie didn't go balls to the wall & pull out the crazy circus tricks- he killed the match respectfully.
Very scary though- just shows how many difficult tricks Jamie has in his bag. Dude could end a game in 5 turns if he wanted to.

Exactly this, to come back from losing the roshambo and not going straight for the throat shows the kinda skater Jamie is. He has more fun keeping the game going. Luan is otherworldly and one of my fav skaters of all time...but I live down the road from where Jamie is from so I gotta support Ireland on the world stage!
Jaime has a triple heal and dragon flip. He can basically end a game whenever he wants to if he gets a turn. Instead he plays clean and shows off good and mostly achievable tricks

Wow! I though it was in the bag when Luan got to start.. he looked unstoppable... amazed jamie was able to pull it together, a well deserved win, but he definitely got extremely lucky for Luan to miss twice, i was expecting a blow out for a minute or two lol..... great game all around!
Don’t forget the name of the game is to win. Jamie seems to conserve energy by keeping the board low. Efficient. I say that’s a tactical strategy. There is no absolute reason to pop your board 3ft in the air if you don’t have to. I admit, Luan pops are definitely a beautiful thing to watch.

If the game of Skate was about style, there would be no contest with Luan. But unfortunately it is not. When Jamie starts that final combo, it is almost impossible to stay alive.
Luan can do all the tricks he missed other than the merlin, and he gave the game back to Jaime missing a BS Flip and Nollie Varial flip . He just missed some tricks and Jaime got the death blow. Luan's style, pop, speed are unrivaled, he's a far superior skater than Jaime and could've beaten him if he didn't give the game back on a couple easy (for him) tricks.

those 180s and 360s from jamie are looking a lot better than last season. he's looking more well rounded. too bad there aren't more flatground competitions. would be cool to see SLS or someone put some money up with a proper ref squad a well rounded rule book with less gray area. i would love to see a season of berrics condensed into a single competition that is a couple days long with higher stakes and more production. like SLS for flatground

Luan’s skating is simply glorious! Really thought he had it for a moment, but Jamie is just a menace at this point. Having a lot of tricks on cue that no one else is doing. Really hope he goes on to win the whole thing again. Either him or Chris Cole.
