    Thank you. This video helped me a lot. I just put an black & white American Flag style one on my wifes 2012 Ford Edge and woulda def snapped something if i wouldn't have found this vid. I first started using a thin, flat metal scraper like what you remove old dry paint with... 😂 And then i thought about using floss next but figured I'd google it. I def needed to loosen the front and reach in and push the clips to remove it. You're the man!

    Great video-thank you! HOWEVER, taking off the manual thread nuts over the plastic posts are mandatory BEFORE trying to take the emblem off. I spent 2 hours, being careful I thought, but scratching the chrome plate and plastic behind the emblem trying to leverage the old emblem withrough breaking the tabs, following this video to a tee, and it failed me =( I used a socket wrench to remove the nuts but it would've been easier to snip them with cutters. One fell immediately and I couldn't retrieve it inside the grill panel somewhere. They are cheap but shipping will get us. Bruises all over my forearms, and ended up using the tape on the back anyways.

      Sorry you had so much trouble. I have done 5 of these and only had 1 that gave me a problem with the silver tabs, they broke and had to get a whole new bezel. But the other times it worked as I did it in the video. Wish you had better luck with it.. thank you for leaving this comment for others to see they may have problems as well... appreciate you watching..

    Looked straight forward. Unfortunately the four screws did not back out and when I got my arm down in the opening the two bottom tabs did not move and the top tap broke off with little force put on it. Project abandoned.

    • @TriGogglin
      @TriGogglin  Před rokem

      Yeah the 4 screws, the plastic gets old and the screws spin in place, you can put something between the plastic, like a screwdriver to apply pressure to help back them out, same with the tabs, they getting brittle, but you can use double sided sticky tape for the crome bezel so you don't have to but a new one. Or I have seen people screw the bezel to the grill, then use the sticky tape to apply the emblem.. sorry you had a bit of trouble.. but the video is an example of when everything goes like it should.. and that did not happen for you.. that usually happens to me.. lol I appreciate you watching

      The top tab is a push up, I find if you do that one first the 2 bottom ones are easier to do, so pull up on the top tab while trying to push it out the hole at the same time.. thats the best I can tell ya.. just try not to break it.. good luck...

    Now that's lot cheaper than buying a new car. How long did it actually take to change the emblem? From my experience it would of taken half a day because that 10mm socket always goes walk abouts with the 9mm.
    I'll have to remember this one is I ever buy a Ford again.
    Both Ford and Chevy (GM) killed 2 of Australians iconic cars, the Ford Falcon, and the Holden Commodore V8's, that were designed and built in Australia.

    • @TriGogglin
      @TriGogglin  Před 3 lety +1

      Oh man Arty, loved the falcon. It didn't take that long at all, but all fords are not the same, the next may be different. And yes it's not my 10mm it's always my 13mm thats missing. 🤣

      I didn't like the shape of the last Falcon they made here, as they went with the Mustang shaped front.
      This time of the Year there was always battle lines drawn in Australia, between the Ford Falcon fans, and the Holden Commodore fans in the V8 super car races. Now it's Ford Mustang with Mercedes, Audi and BMW. GM haven't entered yet, as they don't have anything decent in production to race...lol

    Unnecessary. You dont have to remove the bezel from the truck at all. Grab a 10mm ratchet, shuv your hand down and remove the 2 10mm nuts and the ford logo falls right out, put the othet one on, put the 2 10mm nuts back on the new one and done.
    2mins job. These extra steps are not necessary with all the popping out tabs nonsense. NOT NECESSARY! 🤦🏻‍♂️

    • @TriGogglin
      @TriGogglin  Před 4 měsíci

      Thanks for your feed back, it may not be necessary for you, maybe your an expert. But seeing how you have no how to videos yourself i doubt it, But people rely on youtube for many do it yourself jobs. I have seen friends and family break that bezel cause their first instinct is to start prying on things and break stuff. So this video is not for professionals such as your self, but for folks that don't really work on things and want to attempt it and save a little money.. but I do appreciate you watching, and maybe someone will read your comment and do it your way. So you in turn may of also helped them.. thanks

      @fshabani6498 Před 4 měsíci +1

      @@TriGogglin in all honesty, avoiding those extra steps will make the job easier, dont need to be a professional. Its more likely you will break a tab by following your steps to remove the whole bezel in order to remove the logo, leaving the bezel in place avoids breaking any tabs and more work for that matter. Reach in, undo the 10mm nuts, and the logo will pop right off👍
