So glad the Angel came to your rescue! Someday you must show us where to find the serpentine belt. I remember once astonishing a group of quilters by knowing how to change a fuse- you just never know when you need this bit of knowledge! Your Sabrina is just gorgeous! I love the way you’ve done her face first. It always ends up being last for me somehow. BTW- please show your haul! Funny thing… I do have roadside assistance but I wanted to see if I could figure out the problem before having to call them 😂😂. I’m weird that way, I like tinkering with cars a bit and trying to figure them out. I have an old Jeep that I mess around with and learn how things work. But lately my stitching is my greater love ❤️

I love your Damask Roses WIP, I would really like to stitch that some day if I can find the pattern for a reasonable price. It is nice to see your progress on it in the mean time though! I love that princess pattern. I finished sleeping princess, sent it to Rensel to be framed. And it is coming in the mail today. Wooop so excited. You know, I like floss tube videos that are not edited. I like the natural situation, like life it feels more real. Editing takes out the fun parts that make us laugh. Keep it real. I am working on Quaker Christmas 2 little past half way complete. I have about 8 wip. Ten is the most I will allow to have at one time. Unless it is really small ones that just take a few days.

Hi Catharine: I too am going to Stitch North in 2023 on the May weekend. I went this year and thoroughly enjoyed myself. It would be great to do a meet up when we get there. I live in Brantford Ontario and have stitched for a long time. I have my first mirabilia the autumn fairy that my plan is to start it this year but I'm sure I'm still be working on it next year. I am retired but love to travel with my husband and on my own.

I graduated from Hazelwood Central High School in 1980 and graduated from Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing in 1983. The hospital and school are no longer even there. I am glad your van is working now and before you leave for the Mira retreat you need to get a bumper sticker that says "To the Mirabilia Retreat or Bust". That way if you pick up people along the way in your stitchy van they will know you're legit. My family calls me weird. They even got me some fun socks that say, "Stay Weird" on them. I guess that explains why I'm thinking of bumper stitckers for a stitchy van. 😜 I don't count stitches either, nor do I keep a journal. I fear all that would take up time and I could put more stitches in. You are definitely a Mira pattern queen. I don't have any but love when you parade them. Wow Christine- of course Rosamund is ok as a … ! She’s gorgeous! I’m a new subscriber - sent here by Pam of Stitching Between the Lines. I’ve been binge watching your WIP and pattern/kit parades. I love the variety of your stitching. I’m a pretty eclectic stitcher but I do have a few fancy ladies patterns/WIPs. In progress are Peace Angel and Fern (consider stitching her on a mottled yellow fabric - I’m copying Lynn of The Lancashire Stitcher and stitching her on a pretty yellow fabric I bought from Sparklies in the UK). I plan to start Sunflower Fairy this year (she’s available as a PDF download from Herschnerr’s as she was formerly in a magazine). On my immediate radar is purchasing Petal Fairy - using a pink/purple conversion- also copying The Lancashire Stitcher! I’m probably going to be drawn more to the Nora Corbett fairies and pixies since they’re smaller and probably more realistically finished by me. Who doesn’t love a pretty princess? Have a wonderful couple of weeks.
Your passion for all the Miras is a joy to see and there are so many princesses in the collection. You've shown quite a few that I hadn't even known existed, but now need to keep an eye out for! So many goodies! I love the crinkles…my Pavlovian response tells me that some delicious eye candy is coming. I finally broke down and bought Sleeping Princess. (Telling you that was my way of working ‘princess’ into my comment😂). Anyhow, it’s those beautiful draping covers that I can’t resist. While I love stitching the BAP’s….even while I’m stitching away I’m dreaming of what I will start next even though I rarely break down and do it. One of these days it will be time to bring another big one into the mix. Until next time……Pam
In the U.K. every car that is used on the road must be mechanically checked once a year for road worthiness. Only accredited garages can do and certify that a car has had the check (called MOT). There are standard checks done, including fluid levels, tyres’ status, and so on. The only issue I ever had with a car here in the U.K. is tyre pressures going down because the many potholes we have on all our roads!
Oh, those dreaded potholes!!! 😂😂 My other hobby besides cross stitch is working on my old rusty Jeep and tinkering with it, so I find car repairs kind of interesting. I drive cars until they just won’t drive anymore. I do have roadside assistance but I always like puttering on it first to see if I can figure it out. Another thing that makes me “weird”. 😂😂

Many times I have experienced His mysterious ways. Anyhow it's funny to see you 'freak out" as we're all guilty in one time or another. The wrinkling was funny too. I was so excited to see Gift of the Eagle! I bought this recently as well! You have gotten so far and it is GORGEOUS 😍 I like your method for organizing your Dimensions flosses taking into account your blends, I may have to try it with the next kit I do because the method I was using back when I started my current one is terrible and it’s really slowing me down. Sabrina looks fantastic, that fabric is really setting her off beautifully! OMG thank you for the shout out!!! I’ve been wanting to collect the reindeer and sleigh as well. I don’t know when I would ever get to them, but I will kick myself if they go out of print. I’m thinking about doing them as stand ups. I love spending time with you! See you soon! 💕
My thought for the sleigh and reindeer patterns was the same - get them before one or two or all of them go out of print! Doing stand-ups for them is a lovely idea! I am working on Quaker Christmas 2 little past half way complete. I have about 8 wip. Ten is the most I will allow to have at one time. Unless it is really small ones that just take a few days.

Hi Catharine: I too am going to Stitch North in 2023 on the May weekend. I went this year and thoroughly enjoyed myself. It would be great to do a meet up when we get there. I live in Brantford Ontario and have stitched for a long time. I have my first mirabilia the autumn fairy that my plan is to start it this year but I'm sure I'm still be working on it next year. I am retired but love to travel with my husband and on my own.

I graduated from Hazelwood Central High School in 1980 and graduated from Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing in 1983. The hospital and school are no longer even there. I am glad your van is working now and before you leave for the Mira retreat you need to get a bumper sticker that says "To the Mirabilia Retreat or Bust". That way if you pick up people along the way in your stitchy van they will know you're legit. My family calls me weird. They even got me some fun socks that say, "Stay Weird" on them. I guess that explains why I'm thinking of bumper stitckers for a stitchy van. 😜 I don't count stitches either, nor do I keep a journal. I fear all that would take up time and I could put more stitches in. You are definitely a Mira pattern queen. I don't have any but love when you parade them. Wow Christine- of course Rosamund is ok as a … ! She’s gorgeous! I’m a new subscriber - sent here by Pam of Stitching Between the Lines. I’ve been binge watching your WIP and pattern/kit parades. I love the variety of your stitching. I’m a pretty eclectic stitcher but I do have a few fancy ladies patterns/WIPs. In progress are Peace Angel and Fern (consider stitching her on a mottled yellow fabric - I’m copying Lynn of The Lancashire Stitcher and stitching her on a pretty yellow fabric I bought from Sparklies in the UK). I plan to start Sunflower Fairy this year (she’s available as a PDF download from Herschnerr’s as she was formerly in a magazine). On my immediate radar is purchasing Petal Fairy - using a pink/purple conversion- also copying The Lancashire Stitcher! I’m probably going to be drawn more to the Nora Corbett fairies and pixies since they’re smaller and probably more realistically finished by me. Who doesn’t love a pretty princess? Have a wonderful couple of weeks.

My mother passed away when I was 4. I have had a few of those moments in my life. I believe my mother is my Angel looking over me keeping me safe on earth. Your princess patterns are amazing and I would love to stitch one soon. You inspire my stitching soul.

So many goodies! I love the crinkles…my Pavlovian response tells me that some delicious eye candy is coming. I finally broke down and bought Sleeping Princess. (Telling you that was my way of working ‘princess’ into my comment😂). Anyhow, it’s those beautiful draping covers that I can’t resist. While I love stitching the BAP’s….even while I’m stitching away I’m dreaming of what I will start next even though I rarely break down and do it. One of these days it will be time to bring another big one into the mix. Until next time……Pam

In the U.K. every car that is used on the road must be mechanically checked once a year for road worthiness. Only accredited garages can do and certify that a car has had the check (called MOT). There are standard checks done, including fluid levels, tyres’ status, and so on. The only issue I ever had with a car here in the U.K. is tyre pressures going down because the many potholes we have on all our roads!
Oh, those dreaded potholes!!! 😂😂 My other hobby besides cross stitch is working on my old rusty Jeep and tinkering with it, so I find car repairs kind of interesting. I drive cars until they just won’t drive anymore. I do have roadside assistance but I always like puttering on it first to see if I can figure it out. Another thing that makes me “weird”. 😂😂

Many times I have experienced His mysterious ways. Anyhow it's funny to see you 'freak out" as we're all guilty in one time or another. The wrinkling was funny too. Reminds me of the first time I heard a dog bark while wearing earbuds and I jumped out of my chair expecting a dog to be chasing me. Thanks for the show & tell and keep on stitching. Your car story was cracking me up, thank you for sharing 😂 Our puppy is having a similar reaction to having my son home for the summer - every time someone enters a room he goes nuts like he’s totally forgotten who we are! I was so excited to see Gift of the Eagle! I bought this recently as well! You have gotten so far and it is GORGEOUS 😍 I like your method for organizing your Dimensions flosses taking into account your blends, I may have to try it with the next kit I do because the method I was using back when I started my current one is terrible and it’s really slowing me down. Sabrina looks fantastic, that fabric is really setting her off beautifully! OMG thank you for the shout out!!! I’ve been wanting to collect the reindeer and sleigh as well. I don’t know when I would ever get to them, but I will kick myself if they go out of print. I’m thinking about doing them as stand ups. I love spending time with you! See you soon! 💕
My thought for the sleigh and reindeer patterns was the same - get them before one or two or all of them go out of print! Doing stand-ups for them is a lovely idea!
