  • In this video tutorial, I will show you how I build a custom guitar pedalboard. There are 2 unique features included in this design. I needed to allow for the incorporation of a built-in power supply. I also attempted to make it somewhat child “resistant” by making a cover that locks in with 4 latches. I used oak for the sides, and maple and birch plywood for the tops. I also in incorporated a bunch of 3D printed components. (files will be uploaded later this week).

Hey Al, nice build, i used to be a sound board tech for a band called Third Grade Religion, and heat was always an issue with pedals... you may want to add a couple vent ports on the power supply side? Also a transport handle??? The functionality looks great... enjoy.

Thanks for the tip Tom. I thought about that. I don't know much about these power supplies. To play it safe, I'm going to do what you said.

@@ArtisanMade theres actually a few ways to keep the power supply cool, mini cpu fans, a aluminum heat sink glued to the power supply itsself or vents... they can be as simple as 2 1" holes on the back or you can make them look like vents with your 3d printer... for most musical instruments the ported hole with black insert is pretty standard... let me know what you'd charge me for a stop block for my chop saw i have rockler t- track installed in my table just havnt made a cool stop block yet... my buddy at Shop Nation makes them but ill be damned if i pay his price for one haha
