MY STORY:
After serving six years in the United States Army as a Staff Sergeant, I knew that I wanted to get into the world of business. Consequently, I decided to work on crafting my sales skills.
In 2020, I was in a Sales role for a marketing start-up in Austin, TX, and on the side, I would mow a few yards for some extra cash. Keep in mind, I had a 21” push mower, an electric leaf blower, and an electric string trimmer folded into the back of my wife’s 2011 Ford Focus.
After giving my life to Jesus Christ on Easter in 2021, a woman named Tamalia Scott told me that she believed God wanted me to pursue lawn care full-time.
After a few sleepless nights and endless prayer, I decided to quit my sales job and pursue lawn care full-time in April of 2021. Since then, by the grace of God, we have surpassed $1,000,000 in sales and have two lawn care locations throughout Central Texas. Over the next 10 years, it is our goal to have 12 locations throughout Central Texas.
Throughout the journey of owning a lawn care company, I have learned MANY valuable business principles through trial and error. It has now become a passion of mine to help smaller lawn care businesses scale their companies past $500,000 in annual revenue.
Yessir!! Love the content
Looks great. Nice setup for the high density smaller lawns.
Thanks 👍
25 lawns a day? That is less than 20 min per lawn on 8 hour work day. And that is without any breaks or driving and includes setting up. That's superman speed of moving lawns.
Yup! We prioritize efficiency, we also work 10 hour shifts.
I’m solo. I do Monday-Thursday, 7:30am-4:30pm (no break). I do 84 houses in those 4 days, every week. Mon and Thursday I have 22, Tuesday and Wednesday I have 20. All within a 3 mile radius. Each day is spent in just a couple subdivisions, route density is the only thing that makes 20 a day possible. I leave Friday open for maintenance, rain make up or special projects.
You ever thought of moving the trimmer line to under the trimmer rack? More efficient to have all the like items in the same area.
That’s a great recommendation. Thank you!
Even better idea is putting the line in your vehicle, that way it’s out of the elements and won’t dry out in the sun.
Hey Sam! How much do you add in taxes for mowing service? Thank you
Hi! We just pass on our county’s sales tax to the customer (8.25%)
Is that a 5x10ft trailer? If not then what is it
Yes, it is
You're obviously WAY overcharging your customers.
No one is forcing them. If they accept the price, it’s all good
Which area of the country do you live in?
You must live in a poor part of the country.....i do $11k a month solo for 9 month out of the year, the other 3 months half that....so yes if you have a you and a few helpers, 25k a month is doable...and i undercharge....
@@Nintendo853 $11k a month is solid for a solo route! Keep up the amazing work
They have 4 trucks with crews
