With a Magura brake f.e. you have a banjo where the hose routing isn't really a problem, but I get your point.
A lot of ideas mught have gone into this decision. Magura (or Shigura) brakes are f.e. really popular in Germany and with this routing you have the hose out of harm's way when rhe tire catches onto something. Fair point anyway.
Can’t wait for the ride review!! The workmanship looks amazing. They must watch your channel because all your boxes were checked. Hopefully we have another “exceptional” bike on our hands!
They are actually watching this Channel😂
My Uncle works there so He knows😂😂
They have XXL 👍 and the chainstays 'grow' as you go up the size range, best of all they are in stock 🤪
did u get one XXL frame?
What a beautiful frame. Absolutely love the understated branding...just a stealth head badge. Can't wait to see your trail review.
Thanks for the hack for the water bottle cage I have the paradox and I'm running into that issue I was going to make a couple of nylon spacers and use a bigger bolt but I'll try that see how that works thanks man
Nylon spacers are probably a better idea, but this got me by.
That is one good looking bike! Can’t wait to see it ridden.
Love the attention to detail on that frame!
Great first look!!!! Never new they made frames, that’s what makes this channel different and fantastic!! Looking forward to the bike review!!
Beautiful German frame, I might just save up for one👍🏼 great review can’t wait to see you ride it!
Ouhhhh... Black Beauty !!!
Wow following your channel a while and didn't expect to see this frame on your channel 😂 living next to bc nearby Aachen!
Thanks for reviewing some stuff from Germany/Europe. A nice budget frame indeed... and a nice build. Looking forward to the trail review!
Partially inspired by this channel, after 15y+ on full suspension, I bought this frame 5 months ago. And what I was afraid of actually happened - I like it more then my SC Tallboy v3. The frame is beautiful - even more in the person. It handles great, it is light and fun. Almost perfect. Minor inconveniences would be clumsy cable routing where cables go from upper side of downtube to downside of chainstays. I also build it with level nine components, mostly Shimano SLX, Pike Select 130mm, actionsports.de wheelset and brand X dropper. Looking forward to your riding review!!!
koju velicinu rama vozis? moze li veci hod na vili tipa 150mm?
Hi, Steve after a few rides that I was allowed to do with you in Sedona, so cool that a German sales department sends you the frame to introduce it. So now we cross the fingers that other manufacturers from Germany follow. cheers Flo
Great to hear from you Flo.
Nice to see something I can buy here in Europe. Very much appreciated!
Agreed, it wasn't convenient for them to send it to me halfway across the world, but I'm glad they did.
👍 review the breakdown and geo info awesome look forward to using service and thoughts my next move👋👋👋
Looks promising :))) waiting for the ride review
This definitely looks like the kind of bike that I like. Simple, fun, and understated. I just wanna ride.
Same here.
Nice build. I love that stealthy black build. Hope it rides as good as it looks. Interesting about the crank arm length, I understand why they do it but for a popular crank the cost to make new casting moulds over the thousands of cranks they can produce wouldn’t be that high. I am going to look at mine to see if they are drilled like that as well. Great explanation of geometry as well. I like a good size reach for when I need it but on the more pedally sections I don’t want to feel like I am stressing my lower back. Thank you Hardtail Party!
Appreciate the RF Turbine crank arm tip!
I’m loving the look of this and the sticker pack. I just re-powder coated my hardtail matte black and ordered several sets of stickers to make it my own including new fork stickers. I’m definitely changing up the logo and branding locations. Your Experimental series has been my inspiration for that bike. I’ve run it 29er, 27.5, mullet, 700x38x gravel tires, it’s got a Slack-R, etc. There had been lots of trial and error to it, it’s currently 100mm fork, -1.8 SlackR, running about 66.8 HTA, weight is 27.6 pounds. It’s a really fun bike for an XL frame bike.
Sounds like a rad bike!
Nice one! Sits in my shopping cart waiting for a review a while now!
Hopefully they stay in stock till my review is done.
@@hardtailparty Yeah exactly what I was thinking.
Love hearing your thoughts as you set it up. So much great information! Looks like it will be a fun ride. I look forward to the ride review. Random question: What’s the vise you have on your bench top?
Love your channel, always showing off stuff I've never heard of. Frame looks amazing and price is very low. Your comments on a budget build made me laugh. Some guys want to party with big boys on the trail for free I guess. But this truly looks like an amazing deal. Nice to see an XXL size for tall riders too. If this frame could fit 29+ I'd have already ordered one after watching this video. That dust cover for the seat clamp is a nice touch.
Just ordered one of these! Exactly what I was looking for in a frame! Love your passion for the hard tail brother!
Funny, i had the same problem with the waterbottle cage on my Paradox v3 and also used these tube nuts. They have the perfect height. 😬👍
I'm glad that you mentioned the seat tube angle and reach. On my bike I have 73° seat angle and short reach 431mm on L frame size. But it has longer chainstay (445mm) than the reach and I remember you saying that this might feel unbalanced. It is all-rounder 29er with 66° head angle. But I love it. ;). By the way my son (5 years old) just said: "Dad I love this music." to your intro ;)
Your son's comment made my day. :)
Testing works of art. No problems, own it! Enjoy the Az ride.
Awesome frame
Whoa! And it looks like they size the chainstay. SUPER rare to see even on high-end bikes.
Agreed!
I like the Stealth look!
Ride review??!! Greetz from Finland🙃✌🏼 My Podsol frame is on its way, can not wait to start building😜🙃😎🔧⚙☕⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love your channel and also waiting for my patreon sticker set to arrive😍✌🏼
Congrats on the podsol. Your stickers have been sent. Let me.know when you receive them, I'm always curious how long it takes to send those halfway around the world. Thanks for the support!
@@hardtailparty Good to know Steve and I will!🙃🙏🏼⭐
Oh I replayed on the insta page and wondered where this conversation disappeared?🙈😅 Anyhow... Stickers arrived, thank you sooo much! Ive ridden mine now couple of times and like it a lot!😎✌🏼 Just realized today that the removable rear axle qr has a torc at the tip which fits the seatbolt and bottle cage bolts!?🤯😎🙏🏼
Looks sweet, can't wait to hear your review of it
(Although back tire clearance is a bit disappointing)
I bet the next version has a curve in the tube or longer chainstays.
Ordered one. I'm taking a chance. I've been wanting to build a hardtail for my local flow trails. I'm seriously "overbiked" with my Jeffsy.
Great channel, only channel that I check almost daily for new videos. Super curious how you feel about riding the Podsol. It is a frame I can easily order as a European.
Review coming soon
Thank you for pointing out the crankarms being longer than where the spindle position is. I noticed this on my carbon descendent crank arms that came on my Transition Patrol... the length for the crankarm from the pedal spindle was 170 but the actual length of the crankarm itself was for a 175 spindle. Makes protective boots for the crankarm hard to use when the hole is offset. Some people blame the boots when they should check the pedal spindle position in relation to the actual crankarm length. I find it disappointing when manufacturers take shortcuts like this and don't inform the end user. I suppose the cheapest way to fix this would be for the manufacturers of the protective boots to make 2 different offset sizes to compensate for what these manufacturers are doing in the way of a shortcut. Just my 2 cents but something I did take notice of quite sometime ago. Perhaps the industry will take notice and do something about it. Great channel.
That's extremely disappointing for a carbon crank.
I just looked it up , and its comes to 560$ cad , that’s a real decent price considering the geo and the weight .
I know a lot of you are looking for bikes on stock. Fortunately for you, these have flown under a lot of people's radar, and they're in stock right now. Here are the links to the items in this video:

Do u think the frame can run a 27.5 x 3.0 tyres?
@Kevin Jonathan Thevathasan no, unfortunately it won't
@hardtail party thank you for the info. Btw love your reviews on hardtails. Looking for to your future videos.
378 Euro's is pretty good for the frame. Thanks for sharing.
You're the man Steve! I ordered one.
This is a very nice Frame and a very informative video, too! Been looking for a new frame since my Cube is bent after a car hit me. But I wonder what would be if I put a 100mm travel fork on it, how would that affect the geometry an stuff..?!
Cool bike! If you have the chance can you do a review on the Vitus Sentier? It would be wonderful to here your review on it.
haha, got a shipment from them on the way 🤣 its not this ht but some tools😄
Are you in the US?
This frame can be a vitaminated and funny XC bike with 120mm fork, and I love the look, without brands o stikers.
i bet like a SID Ultimate on that would look CLEANNNN and ride well too
100% agree. This bike could be built up as a lightweight enduro build, or an aggro xc build, or anything in-between.
Nice! Bet you would like a Nordest or even a Stooge also!
I've reached out to both of them. Sadly, I'm not able to get either in for review.
How well does that Milwaukee inflator seat tubeless tires? It looked like a piece of cake in the video, but I'm curious if it just happened to be an easy tire. I'm looking to buy a pump and am intrigued by this. Love the channel btw! Currently building my first bike and am learning so much from your videos.
8/10 times it works, but occasionally o get a stubborn rim.
Im thinking of building this frame up but i was wondering: could you run this frame with 27,5 inch wheels witj 2,6 in tires without changing the geo too much?
Hey Steve can you talk about how to properly care for a steel frame?
Keep it dry and painted. Moisture is the enemy.
I too love my Milwaukee 12V inflator to pieces, but mine is not perfect. It doesn't have that sweet quick release valve. Any chance you can share the deets?
Edit: never mind - you already put it in the description.
While I'm back here, thanks for the best bike channel on the Youtoobs!
My trek is blacked out. Just the head badge. I built to a rigid and it very nimble and fast.
@hardtail party
I've enjoyed the SRAM Level brakes so far, but I don't have a whole lot to compare them to. What would you say they lack compared to some of your favorate brake systems, and what's something you like about them compared to other brakes?
They're fine especially the lower end levels. See my review on the Paul klampers to see what I love about them.
My On One Scandel is pretty similar geo, excepting I didn't catch the BB drop. Ah, looked at the link and I don't think you're going to have any problem with pedal strike........
Indeed, they look very similar on the geo charts.
Great explanation on that Geo! I’ll be honest though, I’m disappointed you didn’t get your monstrously large calipers out to measure something! LOL
Looking forward to hearing your feedback, I didn’t know BC made frames too! Thank you.... #monstermeasuring
This was filmed before the monster calipers. They'll be making many more appearances in the future.
Dang this frame looks sick and the geo is solid. I see the HA listed as 65 degrees. What fork travel is it measured at? Is the frame anodized?
Frame is powder coated
Another nice drivetrain is the Shimano Deore m5100, the 1x11. I have bought it for my bike which I will build soon, so I have no experience with it. What I like about ot, is that it can run with a 11spd 11 to 51t casstte made for shimano HG free hub body. I wanted to buy the advent X, but it went out of stock. Btw, i live in german and BC is a great shop. It can be a bit pricier (the difference is almost none), but their shop, producgts and website is great!
I've been wanting to try that drivetrain.
@@hardtailparty If you come to germany I´ll be happy to borrow you my bike to test it!
Any news on the ride review?
Just waiting for it to pull the trigger on one :)
I've been chatting with patrons about it. I'm releasing review videos as quickly as i can. I haven't forgotten about this bike.

Spain here...hola 😊
Hola amigo
Does this frame have enough clearance for 27,5 x 2,8 or 3.0 tyres?
Looking for the ride review
Romania !!
Great frame and travel! How much travel on the Helm fork?
130mm on the helm.
@@hardtailparty thanks ;-)
Do they ship to the US?
Did that frame have a tapered head tube?
You mention here you use a 40mm stem, but in a lot of your other videos you seem to ride the same stem. Do you change the stem to keep the reach to the bar the same, or stay with a fixed length 35/40/50mm stem and let the reach of the bike come out?
Bc sent a 40mm stem with this build and they wanted to see what i think of the Podsols with a 40mm stem. I have drama ranfong from 3m to 60mm. Technically the stem doesn't affect the actual reach measurement, but it does change the effective top tube.
From Finland:)
Bc Podsole is german😎
WHEN?!
Patience grasshopper, I'm editing these as fast as I can. :) I have a few either bikes ahead of it on the release schedule.
Do these guys have a USA distributor?? I want one
Not at this time, unfortunately.
Have you tried it in 27.5+? Wondering how fat a tire could be run.
sadly I have not.
🏴
Do you think the clearance would work to run 27.5+?
No, sadly
@@hardtailpartyThanks. It still looks great, but maybe not perfect anymore.
Run it single!
Someone tested 27,5 plus wheels on it?
No way they made a hard tail
The rear brake routing has got to be a mistake. Weird.
Agreed.
that's a lot of cable
I'd go broke if I trimmed every cable for every review bike. I have to reuse these components from bike to bike, so I leave them long so they fit all bikes.
BC loamer wheels are actually made by Newmen...
that seatpost flappy should be std. equipment on every bike,, period. How was this not a thing I've seen before in over 10 years of mtb!!
Right!?! Great idea. I'm surprised at all the little things these guys got right on their first hardtail.
It's from 3min19sec. They sell the clamp on their website for approx 7 euros.
Treating does that as well.... on their carbon cranks! 175 crankarm, 170 apindle position. Make protective boots useless. 😠
