I was diagnosed with osteoporosis in 2019 with -2.5 BMI. At the time they tried to encourage me to have the IV infusion of Reclast and I refused. I opted for Citrucal. Since then I've had several falls but did not break any bones; I've never broken any bones in my life. In the past couple of months I've had physical therapy to increase my balance to prevent falls. In January I will have a follow-up DEXA scan and again I'm concerned that they may try to persuade me to undergo the Zoledronic Acid infusion but I am extremely reluctant to do so.

Tylenol for side effects, definitely not strong enough. Norco is better. Even after norco- Worse feeling in my life . ( I’m in my 60’s ) every joint ached, muscle aches, chills, nausea, loose stools, Had a dose at noon, woke in middle of night feeling awful! !! Could not get comfortable. Went to ER about 24 hours after dose., due to fluttery heart feeling. Heart was normal, but Blood levels of nutriphils high, eosinophils and lymphocytes low- no mention of this. Returned to normal when I had follow up blood test 7 days after dose of Zometa. Hated it!
I just had a Reclast infusion last week and had vomiting, shaking chills, muscle cramps, awful bone aches, basically feeling like hell for a few days. What helped more than anything were hot showers…I think I was taking 6-7 a day! Just soaking in hot water helped so much. Tylenol and Advil did help but the showers did most of all.
I have hyperparathyroidism and my endocrinologist wants me to have zoledronic acid,I have spine fractures and trapped nerves. I also have hungry bone syndrome
Please have a complete body test especially of heart & kindney. My maternal grandmother has passed away just after 2 months of taking high dose Zoledronic acid injection. Symptoms started with drowsiness later increase in creatinine, they kidney infection, then heart enlargement & finally death overtook her with heart failure. 😢 Honestly didn't know its side effect earlier which is so brutal. My advice to have a complete checkup of the body and multiple analysis & consultant from doctors before injecting it into your body

Oh probably because of comoribidities. For my dad he was just having flu like symptoms which subsided eventually
