But then he brought his family back to his hometown, Dipolog City in Zamboanga Del Norte, and opened a restaurant.
His burger is excellent!
And this was a great break from my otherwise very Daot Day.
I went to Rizal's Shrine on the one day of the week it was closed. Then later we got stuck because of a landslide!
But we found excellent food, great craft beer, and real beauty in the mountains of Misamis Occidental.

FYI, Don Victoriano last Municipality part of Province of Misamis Occidental. Mt. Malindang its wide mountain range are divided into three provinces eastern part Misamis Occidental, southern part is Zamboanga Del Sur and northern Zamboanga Del Norte.
Wow, it's a spectacular journey of Misamis Occidental and climbing uphill tne mountain ranges with drastic changes of weather, near view of Mt. Malindag. Love the vast strawberry farm. Thanks also for learning about our national hero

I'm amazed to learn that there is a big community high up on the mountain. If that place can be developed more, it will really be like little Baguio not just because of the weather but even in the number of tourists visiting.
Little Baguio would be a cool name also 😃
Caveat, it is inside a National Park thus "development" is restrictively regulated to improve the ecological attributes of the place.

Anselm, I would not call it a daot day. You got to sample IPA craft beer, had a hand made cheeseburger, got to meet new people and see new scenery including a church with a different architecture and vibe and learn about Jose Rizal. ...definitely a successful day in my opinion!

The mountain tour was the best. Along the seashore, "Dakak Beach Resort" is one of the international best resorts found in Dapitan and Dipolog. ..

I've never been to Dapitan. Not sure why I didn't check out the place when I visited Dipolog a couple of years ago. Sorta just kicked myself in the butt now for not doing so after watching this. What quaintly-beautiful place. Loved this episode, as always.
been to dipolog and i love the place especially the barbeque stands in the boulevard where annoying stray dogs would poke you for food

What a lovely, beautiful place you had been to, although it was raining and seeing that landslide you had to avoid going into. hhhhhmmmm.strawberry field in zamboanga.did not know they have one.correct me if i'm wrong but what i know is the taste depend on the quality of the soil on which they are growing and not just the climate.

From the mountain and to the sea. Roaming around the city of dapitan and dipolog explored restaurants and most important thing "the thirsty" or "the holy grail" varieties of beer.. You never go wrong with that.. What else? you never crossed with ferry boat in dapitan or dipolog going to dumaguete city in the visayas for a road trip..you can add that to your bucket list in the future buddy but it's up to you..
