Thank you! I’ve been trying to find a video that was easy to follow and your restrictor looks so much like mine that it was easier to figure out. My water flow is strong now. I was about to buy another showerhead but now I don’t have to.
Holy shit! I’m doing this when I get home! I LOVE full pressure showers. Some really nice hotels have high pressure. Thanks for this! You’re basically a life saver!
PSA: if you want better pressure but not maximum pressure, just remove the rubber o ring inside the reducer. But make sure you put the mesh/rubber grommet back in the head or you’ll have leaks and sediment could destroy your head.
Do we know the approx gpm flow without the restrictor? I had one at 2.5 which was OK... But the rain dial with side hand wand was 1.75 which is like a toddler gentling pissing on your pant leg this video was awesome. I ended up having to punch thrbrestrictor out from the hole side of the ball in the joint as this pull/lift method didn't work exactly. Only the top cross came out. It does snap back into place. Pressure now will remove the top layer of skin 😂
@@ericivic ive returned many shower heads (like 3 or 4) for being weak. i have heard the water restrictor was a thing- this is my first shower head where ive actually tried to get it out. bout to install

Thank you for the video. Saved me a lot of frustration and arguments. My water pressure is now so much better!
Glad to be of service!!!

Quick easy video. Thank you for not posting a 9 minute long video showing how to do this, which I literally just saw was available.

I took the clear plastic piece off and I noticed a slight difference

Every unit will be different. Grab a 5 gal bucket and run it for a min. 🤷🏻♂️
The white cross shaped thing came out easily for me, but the rest of it seems to be stuck in the shower handle...
Needle nose pliers and just yank it all out
Your video help me out a lot art soooooooo much😊
Glad it helped! These new water savers are terrible. At least it’s not difficult to replace!
Is there a way to fix a non working pause button??
That’s more of a “replace” type issue.
Nothing worse than a low pressure shower.
Actually you're supposed to remove that before you put it together
No they’re water saving inserts that all manufacturers have to put in to meet EPA requirements.
i got the plastic white + shape out, but the rest is still in there????? looks like its in there p good. u sure?
sorry i got it out!!! used a super tiny screw driver and wiggled the sides of it and it came out.
This is the way!! Small tools and perseverance!!

They all have it. Best bet is to find a 2.5gpm unit and remove the restrict or on those.
@@ericivic apparently there are 2 versions of the one i have... 1.8 and 2.5-- im not seeing which version mine is?
They make it look so easy but most hand held shower heads have fixed flow restricters that don’t pop out.
That’s when a nice needle nose comes in handy.
I live in California and we aren't allowed to have high flow shower heads😢
