- Hey guys! This is my not really a deck profile video for the Digimon TCG. I'm going over the Digimon decks I have and the supplies I bring to every event I attend. Sorry, I'm a bit of an idiot about card-games - is 'Structure Deck' the Yu-Gi-Oh name for a Starter Deck?
@@Twilord_ Starter and Structure are 2 different types of products. At the core there both premade decks that sometimes have new cards. Starter decks are designed for new players, while structure decks usually have theme like a character or idea.
@@wyattdupre2721 Ah so a Structure deck would be be something like Tribal Greymon? Or more like "Tai & Agumon" with no ShineGreymon et cetera?
@@Twilord_ more or less ya. The product page on the website should say what it is exactly, but most use the terms interchangeably

I love watching Alex showing us about Digimon TCG, I don't get tired! It doesn't help a local store where I live has started selling this cards and I have been tempted to buy some ☺️
I actually saw some digimon cards in Walmart the other day. A very happy surprise since I haven't seen any cards in my local Walmart in a while

Nice builds. Lord knightmon is the deck to beat this format for sure. But that Lilithmon loop deck aint no joke. At the moment me and my squad got deck for every color except white (at least not yet Just wait til nest format) Lordknightmon for yellow. Shoutmon for red. Hexabluamon for blue. Green otk
Black blockers. And for purple we went with Chaosgallantmon. That deck is in my personal opinion the best deck of the format. The combos that deck has is insane, with using guilmon to constantly recycle and gain memory. And if you have anubismon up at the right moment you can attack 7 times in one turn while also blowing up 3 digimon on your opponents side to stop them from blocking. This game is really fun and i cant wait to see Trell on here showing what he plays. As well as the others.

Love your digimon videos Alec. The game isn't that big so there aren't that many creators with high production value, other than Steven imo, so it is nice to see videos from a familiar face.
I have been loving Digimon. I hope there ends up being more content for this TCG to help grow awareness for it.

I’ve been playing a purple tactimon/omni deck that went from a fun deck to winning me a box tournament this weekend. Purple midrange is way better than people think!

Very cool, I always thought Tactimon looked like a fun card! Yeah, those inherited abilities on the ultimates really make him go off, huh? I haven't actually built any Digimon decks yet myself, but I'm slowly looking into it.

Lucemon should be played in Purple. Anubismon and Mastemon are great but only Anubismon gives "rush"

It's from the Tamer's Evolution Box, which you can't get anymore. Only from ebay and other online markets.

You have no Haste in your Lilith-Loop. In the scenario of nearly decking, Lilith-Loop just loses because you will NOT have enough active attackers to close out the game.
This is wrong. In BT5 meta, the only source of Rush you can get in Lilith Loop is from Anubismon, which is wildly inconsistent. If you Mega Digimon Fusion into Zwart you get two bodies for free from trash (which can both be blockers if you need them) and then Zwart can use its effect for removal. Lilith Loop doesn't try to OTK this format, it's too hard to set up.

Ok in a way you are right lordknightmon (aka crusadermon) is a girl but only in the English dub for digimon frontier and in cyber sleuth. In the data squad English dub and the English sub for frontier crusadermon is a guy

Digimon has a card game, wow I knew about Yugioh, Pokemon and MTG but never knew Digimon had one.
It had one before this, but this ones more a reboot of the game
Its incredible, a ton of fun.
Its family tree kinda tells you how good it is:
- Its an improved successor to Chrono-Clash, an LGC that Bandai only ended because it had IP issues.
- Chrono-Clash was a spiritual successor to Duel Masters, from the same lead designer.
- Duel Masters (huge in Japan) is actually a spiritual successor to Magic The Gathering, it was created as an (at the time) 'modernised' Japanese take on Magic, to compete with Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh over there.
It came out at the start of this year and had a prelaunch a few months before the end of last year which was extremely limited because of a specific pandemic that happened.

LordKnightmon was both male and female in the digimon series in a few separate appearances games and anime so saying herself when talking about the card made me cringe a bit. On a side not I love this game just wish I had the extra money right now to pick up a couple more copies of Pulsemon cause I still only have the one that I got from the prerelease and you need at least three of the little guy.
LordKnightmon was originally Crusadermon, who was mainly portrayed as female.
@@Osborne4Life Digimon have no actual gender to begin with so it's still making me cringe hearing it when LordKnightmon has been shown as mostly male.
@@Osborne4Life Isn't it the other way around though? The original name is LordKnightmon, and Crusadermon is the localisation? I'm not super up with the anime, but wasn't LordKnightmon also masculine in the original dub? Not that that really matters, given that it's been depicted as both male and female in all regions so both pro-nouns are equally correct...
