I really like your breakdown! Coming from Yugioh, your explanations are a lot more how they are done by yugitubers compared to what they do in digimon, and imo it’s a lot better. It’s way more detailed and shows a clear understanding why every single card is run, along with some possible lines you can go into. I really appreciate those things.
Please keep up any and all of the groups' passions. Seeing other card games in relation to Yu-Gi-Oh is very interesting, and eases my own concerns about being interested in more than one game. Yu-Gi-Oh was my first TCG but I later moved to Pokemon and then Magic the Gathering. I have bounced from game to game trying to find one that fits just right, and to be honest I just enjoy having the diversity of games that each have their own strengths that get me excited to play

Pause @12:02 the summon of Lucemon Chaos Mode from Mastemon effect does not give him Rush so he can't attack as Ophani on Digi. But still can be used as a Blocker Retal. :) Just to not give people misinformation.
I agree, he doesn’t have rush. Also, Lucemon isn’t an Angel, Archangel, Fallen Angel so he doesn’t get the inheritables of Blocker/Retaliation. Jogress also allows Ignitemons Inheritable to gain a memory.
@@marioorozco7756 no I think he meant once digivolved into Ophani, it gains Blocker n Retal. Otherwise yeah Luce can't get those effects.

Question: what are your thoughts on ST10 Salamon instead of Candlemon? Had a few times the situation where I could’ve DNA digivolved at the end but playing a Lv 5 passes turn with no Gatomon in my stacks.
I like salamon as the end of turn really helps to use for the scenario when you haven’t got the gatomon out, but I think the question is do you want more memory from the candlemon or have that end of turn DNA

I made the deck adding in an Ai and Mako engine with wizardmon lv4 promo (gain 1 memory when you use an option.) and creepy and don't recall if i run 1 of but 1 vilemon (evil), and lucemon (all searchable with ai and mako

I've been going undefeated at 2 different locals using bt11 Sukamon in my deck. It's honestly just super solid.
I run flamehellscthe at 2 and 2 underworld calling. A 4 cost devimon, angemon, or gatomon is way better then 6 cost lvl 5 if the delete isn't going to proc. If I start at 4 memory which is a mem setter and merie swing with a angemon if he dies play devimon rush swing, if he dies play him again with calling for 4 it won me a game and a few turns for a cheap Blocker.

Is there anything that would be a decent card to replace the Lucemon with? Can't really pull the trigger on a $40 card.
Mastemon really exemplifies the purple color IMO, despite being dual colored. It's such a tricky deck to build correctly and requires high skill play to pull off. It can be insanely strong when done right or really weak when not. And there's so many possibilities in constructing it, it isn't as clear-set as many other meta archetypes, even with the current angewomon/ladydevimon/mirei support.
IMO I'm not a fan of candlemon, being a yellow rookie and only targeting purple (so not angewomon) feels a bit lackluster. I'd rather run tsukaimon since your digimon will get deleted, as you say, and tsukaimon will give you at least 1 memory back.
Also 2 flamehellscythes and 4 degradations is likely better. You're reviving digimon from your trash for 6 - which is expensive. The -6000 DP isn't enough to delete stuff and it's hard to have enough memory to use it then attack into a digimon, consistently. You're better off relying on retaliation effects. With the new ladydevimon allowing you to retrieve digimon for cheap and mastemon itself giving full revives, the full revive effect of flamehellscythe for 6 seems too high of a cost. I think it has uses in stopping floodgates and in fringe cases, but 3 of seem too high. Degradation allows you one of the few ways to pop 7's and gives you additional access against 6's, especially frustrating 6's like ulforceveedramon. Four of allows you to remove every copy of the opponent's key digimon at minimum, which I think fits the current meta of huge-beat stacks.

Personally ive been playing ordinemon as my life line together with lvl6 meicomon basically if i have a mastemon i can slap meicomon for 12( or less) and then dna digivolve into oridinemon so that i dont die

I do have to say I love ordinemon this format she puts in so much work.

Also with bt-14 being adventure based I think we will get some more support. hopefully not enough to push us into banlist territory but I feel we are only 1 good card off until we are on the chopping block.

Did you wind up going against BWG-X, and if so how did your matches feel against it? I need to upgrade my Mastemon deck, but I'm slightly worried about just going into a Mirei play and being shut down instantly by losing it.
I did play against BWG! I won 2-0 but my opponent really struggled to find his pieces. I used lucemon chaos mode to delete Yuya and I chaos degraded BWG to win mostly. It's definitely a very tough matchup and I nearly lost a round once it stabilized, but if you play knowing that you can lose 1 mirei you can maximize the chance to win
I run 2 Kari instead, as she a memory setter and gains memory everytime you "special summon" (play a mon by effect) not once per turn. Also play zwart defeat, he triggers all effects if hit in security and if in hand pop a tamer
Nah T.K. is better. Sometimes that one card you need is always in security.
@Kelvin Hernandez then use angewomon effect or mastemon effect to fish out of security, your just throwing away memory. Kari is way better then TK for this deck. Because this deck hard plays so much you are going to need the extra memory. Don't knock it til you try it.
@@lyteskys1 I have tried Kari not a fan. And Angewomon only grabs angels and etc. Not a specific card like Gato for example and is only on Evo. You're really gonna wait to go into Mastemon to grab a gatomon, when that grab from TK could possibly recovered you a sec bomb?
@Kelvin Hernandez if you really tried it then you'd understand that t.k. is a one shot, after that he just sits there. Unlike kari where you can consistently benefit of off. On top of that if your just praying and hoping to pop off t.k. effect then your doing something wrong. T.k. effect is conditional at best
@@lyteskys1 yes it's a one shot, but does it gain you an advantage as well as knowledge to what's in sec before you go into Maste. Even late game when you need a Maste and you know it's in sec and your 2 Bt11 Angewomons digivolve are not available, TK can grab that card. What good is extra memory gain when your missing a card and it's in sec?

Idk about you but my mastemon always gets dedigivoled by blackwargrey and then deleted so I don't think meicomon is gonna work
Meicoomon is a level 4. It's never directly under mastemon

They are official from Bandai, hard to find but maybe they have it in your local store?
I ordered these from Japan off of Ebay, but I think they get a western release soon
@@apsamplifier They have had their official release in the west. I picked them and the Ulforce sleeves up from my local hobbyshop last Sunday.

I did though I may have forgotten to mention it. I felt bad for my BWG opponent. It was a 2-0 and I think he struggled to build a proper BWG stack. The key to the matchup for me was deleting the Yuya with my Lucemon so I could Degrade his BWGs that had the MetalGreymonX inheritable. Then I just outlasted him
