- Whole Home Filters are great for keeping out harmful chemicals that are often put in our water to keep the plumbing systems clean. Unfortunately these chemicals are very harmful to humans. It also can damage our appliances and fixtures. The benefits of having a whole home filtration system, such as this one by FlowTech, can really outweigh the cost.
Watch our plumbers install this filter! Of course, there are many ways to install these, but do to the size of the water inlet line, the placement of the filter requested by the home owner, and proper plumbing code, we had to get a little creative with our piping.

How much is the system cost.
Do you still need the reverse osmosis for drinking water if you already have the whole house water filter.

We're putting a well in, and I'm thinking of installing a filter. I had been thinking of putting it in the garage, but didn't know there were outdoor solutions for this. Good to know. :) I wonder though, how would I find the line (in the garage?) where it enters the entire house before going to the sinks/shower, etc. I just seem to have 1 cold line into my water heater, 1 hot line out, and a smaller hot water recirculation line.

I’m getting ready to install a RadiantLife whole house- and was watching your video- i was really surprised by all the 90’s you put in those lines….. doesn’t that defeat the whole idea of why you want pex - reducing the velocity of the flow??
I have the softener with the system you showed in your video.
I live on 5 acres and the system drains onto the ground, so I have a large area beside my house that is dead due to the high content of salt draining onto the ground.
Are there better ways to drain this besides on the ground?
I have a septic system so tapping into that is not going to happen.
"Flow Tech Home" would solve that problem.
a french drain is your best option or your leader drain(gutters) if they drain into a french drain

We sold the house early last year and a couple of months before we did just what you mentioned. Works perfectly.

I haven't seen them buried before, I probably never read the manual... I was surprised to see type M, but I'm sure it's because of the short run.

Sir: May I ask what would be a good whole house filter for my situation? I have well water. The well pump pushes up a lot of small, sand sized chunks of rust and debris. This clogs all my faucets and shower heads. I had my kitchen and bathroom faucets replaced about five years ago, all clogged again. I have to remove the cold water pipe on my clothes washer once a month, and easily flush out a teaspoon of sand-sized rust particles. I typically replace the shower head once a year as it's all clogged up with rust particles. God knows what it's doing to my water heater. Other than that, the water is fine. All I need is a filter that will trap all these rusty sand grains, a filter that is easy and cheap to clean out once every few months. Don't need a fancy expensive filter with charcoal and all the latest hi-tech doodads, just something to trap all this debris. Thank you.
a big blue filter it is a cartridge filter i would recommend a Pentair Pentek 150237 Big Blue Filter Housing with a pleated filter or if your sediment is extremely bad a sand master or atlas hydro but for most cases the Big Blue should work

dvnobles I've seen systems installed by homeowners. Maybey not 100% professional looking, but they worked well.
@@RogerWakefield Hi, yes, I've designed and installed my own also, but I think the tools and items you are using, the average person won't have or know how to do - such as soldering joints. Maybe there are some out there that can. Crimp ring system, torquing down to the right specifications? It looks like you guys do it the right way.

I don’t understand why this unit is sitting outside buried? It’s harder to see a problem, you never know what the weather is going to do, I just don’t think this is a great idea...
