Finally someone explains the ingredients in makeup not just how it wears or how long it wears. I wish people who do makeup reviews could add this to their reviews the ingredients.

Really fantastic recommendations. I'm always afraid of breaking out from drugstore foundations, but the fact that you analyzed the ingredients for the exact same concerns I have makes me so impressed. Thank you! And it's really helpful that you show a clip of applying each foundation so we can see the coverage and finish.

Also, I would like to shout out the NYX foundations, can’t stop don’t stop, born to glow, and tinted skin veil. All are fragrance free, have great shade range, and I found the latter 2 are beautiful on my combo skin. The makeup revolution foundation lines are also really inclusive, and their Conceal and define, conceal and hydrate, fast base stick, satin matte powder, and cc cream, are all fragrance free. And both of these brands are cruelty free, if that influences your decision making.

    In my experience:
Maybelline matte and poreless had an awesome shade range but triggered my cystic acne!
L’Oréal true match does not trigger my acne and the finish/lasting power is perfect but their fair neutral shades are too pink
Wet n Wild Photofocus just looked like it sat on top of my skin.
Colourpop tinted moisturizer has odd shades

SO....Iv always been so concerned about the skincare I use and checking the labels considering my skin is problematic....But it just occurred to me I never bother checking labels as far as my foundations go (and some of them sit on my skin for 14 hrs a day...on long shifts) something I deff need to consider! Thanks girl ❤️

I have tried many of theses and they break me out especially Maybelline matte and Poreless. I had burning acne second time I tried it. I used to have very oily skin but my skin has dried out a lot with age. They discontinued the only 2 foundations OTC that I had no problems with. I have found one by No 7 Match Made Foundation Drops that is not breaking me out. Very frustrating to find much that doesn't cause breakouts. I had acne in my teens but I think this is allergic reactions that didn't happen 30 years ago. I think ingredients in products have majorly changed. Some foundations make my skin so pretty, only to wake up the next day with break outs. I am too old for this. I wish someone made a brand with few ingredients again that worked for people like me.

Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless and Wet and Wild Photofocus are two of my favorite foundations! So much value for the cost. I think they added the fragrance to the dewy version of photofocus to mask the paint smell, but I have only used the original, and the smell fades away quickly after it's applied. I literally wore Maybelline Fit Me on my wedding day, it's so reliable. If you have tried the new Colour Pop Pretty Fresh Foundation, I'd love to know your thoughts on that one as well.

Abbey Yung posts a new video:
    Me: Stops everything to watch!
I didn't know that I needed this but thank you for it!! I hate that you can't test these out in the drugstores cuz that would be soo helpful. I do wish you would have mentioned if there were enough shades for everyone in each foundation special for dark skin people and what your thoughts were on that.
I'm trying to color my hair and I was wondering if you already have or are going to make a video on how to do your hair at home and what products would work best for different "ethnic" hair (my hair is super thick and black and straight or generic) and how to take care of the color. I want to go blonde and silver... One time a friend of mine colored my hair and idk what she used but I ended up looking like a lion which isn't bad but it came out some parts so blonde and others like orange and yeah.
I'm a (trans)woman so this was so helpful if I wanna wear make up in the future! One thing I will say ... I've only used tinted sunscreens as a form of "make-up" when I put a really white casty sunscreen on and the color of the sheer tinted sunscreen will match the color of my sunscreen and not my skin so it won't truly hide the white cast but just give my face a different color... Is foundation formulated to actually cover up the white cast of a sunscreen or will the sunscreen always change the color of the foundation and how can that be combatted? (Assuming you give the sunscreen a good time to dry/set) like would you need color correctors?
Anyway I'm being extra with this! I love your videos!! Keep up the great work!!
P.S. Are these cruelty free and tested on animals? Dang. This whole industry is complicated... Okay I'm done! Have a fabulous healthy safe day!!!

    • @AbbeyYung
      @AbbeyYung  Před 4 lety +1

I bought the WetnWild matte Photo towards the end of December 2020. At first, ot worked BEAUTIFULLY for me face. I have normal to oily skin. I am halfway done with the bottle... It dries up on me, creates texture that my face doesn't have, separates badly on the nose, and not transfer-proof because of the mask. I have used setting spray, I got a new sponge and foundation brush to apply with and I still have the same problem. It's a bummer. Not repurchasing again.

New sub just bc every time someone on here recommends something it ends up having horrible ingredients. Would have enjoyed a wear test w then all
*I have used both the true match foundations. The original dries my skin out over the day & just doesn’t look so great. Looks better no makeup IMO. The lumi looked sooo good. Then I woke up w pimples all over my face! I get hormonal acne on jawline but it’s just like bumps under my skin. Never had pimples like this before. Big juicy ones. Took me a week to look halfway decent & I thought about quitting my job that week of my life so users beware!

Unfortunately I wouldn't have been able to fit a wear test for all 6 in one video!
