Here’s some backstory if ye need it
Gildedguy was born into a life where his family had the most top ranking jobs of being a foreman and taking care of others and since he was born with those parents his pa thought he could be the one to inherit the family business. However gildedguy had other interests not only was he more of an artist he was curious about the world outside of these walls. (now keep note gildedguy was unsure and unprepared for the world outside and had no idea what was out there he originally had the opportunity to go out because he had the keys to exit but without no motive he chose to stay... for now) he chosen to be be a sign painter and although originally his pa wanted him to be the next foreman (he even bought him his own chair thinking he would chose it) he still supported him.
3 years passed and having a normal life while hanging out with his lads earning money, eating junk food, and watching movies with them he still longed for a life where he could freely paint and create stories but was given no other choice in his life but that all stopped when he had this vision in his head. A warrior, an adventurer, a gilded knight with the freedom of will to explore the world to no end and meet many faces and make aliences and friends alike he wanted to be that guy. Gildedguy wanted to test this substance that gave him these visions and use it to inspire people and brighten up the sign painters. (mostly his lads) no longer interested in gold or money and is having hard times to sleep his pa wants him to rejoin and become a foreman yet even with the extra gold his son refused.
Struggling with his life with nowhere to go something called out to him a star calling out his name guiding him outside of the walls he however hesitated because he knows nothing outside of these walls and it scared him to leave everything behind but he knew deep down that star knew what he wanted in life. Now given a motive he attempts to escape using the magic paint however his pa wanted him to stay safe within these walls so nobody can hurt him. His pa was disappointed with the wasted potential that his son could’ve been a foreman but gildedguy also saw that his life would’ve be not more than would’ve killed him overtime and thus he found his own potential. Fusing with the paint and gold his body transformed into the gilded knight he always wanted to be to overcome his pa.
Face to face he told his pa what he REALLY wanted in life but his pa told him he could’ve had more than just a foreman because it’s not just giving gold it’s about helping the community, keeping a peaceful life, and having an easy life within these walls despite living in such a cruel world because it hard to get that life anymore in cier but gildedguy tells him he sees a star guiding him to his own life and although his pa doesn’t see it he knows his son does. So willingly he gave his son money and told him to follow that star and make his own future wherever it will take you and finally gildedguy unlocked the door ready to explore the outside giving him the opportunity of a lifetime to explore this world wherever that star will take him
So it means that as we grow older, we become independent with what we choose to become? But then our parents make us become what they want us to become?

@@papersparrow899 It’s more that they want what’s best for us, but not everyone wants to follow in their parents footsteps and follow their own dreams.
It is also a representation of Michael, the artist behind Gg( which is also Gg's canon name: Stick Michael in his flash game Slush Invaders). His parents wanted him to be successful in life but not in the way he intended, his animation is his desire but sometimes can be distracted and perverted by the need for money which can be demonstrated in his other animation "The Green-eyed Cowboy", where he kinda regretted leaving to make end's meat. He really manifested the phrase "A picture says a thousand words"
You know the way how Gildedguy swings the paintbrush 🖌 was almost the same way how he swings his sword don't you think.
To be real the brush has the same size as the sword so maybe thats how gilded know how to use a sword

The star represents his hopes and dreams, hence why only he can see it. However, I think the star is something that appears to everyone in his family at one point or another, since the star was shown around the family home. I think his father followed that star when he saw it, leading to him creating the business he now happily runs.
I think the father put too much hope in his son taking over though, and it showed when Gildedguy kept turning down the promotion. Finally, the star began showing up to Gildedguy, leading him at first to the magical paint, and later to chase his dreams of knighthood.
It also has interesting implications for how Story #6 ended. That marker was inexplicably tied into his hopes and dreams, and now Gildedguy doesn't have it. What could be the repurcussions of that I wonder? Or will the star lead him back to the marker eventually?
The credits were meant for a reason as well, it showed how he got his blade and how it was able to extend like the green brush strokes and how he got the paint crayon that he sacrificed in the Oxob fight.
But about the ending to where it showed F.R.Y.'s opening soon was related to his first fight against fry (aka the 1st story).

@@ghostgamer260 the first story is about a minute long or so. It was a speed art
the painting girl sitting to gildedguy's right is called abigail (you can see the name on her board), and i think gildedguy used to be in love with her. Especially realised that in 3:16 of story 0 where he draws an image of him as a knight and making her fall in love, 4:19 when he looked at her before trying to escape his job where at the same time the singer sang "i got love and that's enough" and in 4:49 he dreams of being married to her and becoming just like his dad. But yeah, i think he always wanted to be a golden knight, and that magic green painting liquid that let him see that mystery star probably just gave him the power to let it out.
By the way, the woman in 2:21 of story 5 could possibly be abigail...
Anyone else think that Abigail is the same as the girl in the Green eyed cowboy?
Just wanted to say at the end when it says "fry's opening soon" is a call back to guildedguy vs fry - story 1.
Definitely a good ending. If Gilded Guy had stay, yeah he would have been successful and had a good life and everything.
But in the end it would have crushed him, just doing the job he was after 3 short years was already draining the life out of him.
As for the Star and the paint stuff? Well the paint was infused with Gilded Guy’s hopes, wishes, and dreams. And spurred him to follow the same Star that many people in Gilded Guy’s bloodline have followed.
Trust me. Everyone was confused until they watched it another 2 or 3 times
Gilded wants to be a knight and/or an explorer, but note how none of the jobs he could pick match this... instead, they are displayed on the rug with the star, apart from what he could actually choose.
Gildedguy vs fry was story one
So this is a prequel to EVERYTHING even the sloppy bold coloring is a call back to it.

Gildedboi had two routes, or a rpg route full of rpg mementos or a quiet peaceful life with free Hoe and Stonks but without Epicness
You definitely missed a lot but it did require watching over and over to find the little details and even after that there probably is still more to see, think, an feel

Stick Micheal(Gildedguy) uses his ink to create platforms for that people can jump off of in the game slush invaders.And for those who have seen gildedguy vs oxob and basement busk he can make useless scribbles that don't do much of anything that was from the mobile game slush tile rush.

Edit: And how he got his armour before and after the fight of Fry
He uses his green pen to molten the gold coins that he earns in order to repair his armor. He does not have gold powers. Further than that, he himself, is powerless. It's all his training, armor and weapons that give him that power. That, and he also keeps growing mentally. He has the power of fantasy on his side, but not in himself. Hope I explained it well.
he doesnt have the gold power like his dad, i think and well most people think is that his paint or the marker from his pencil kind of heats up or modificates the gold to do it and then there is a theory who gilded guy in story 0 found more armor and THEN turned into gold becaus if you see he doesnt have all his armor , altho he might have made his other armor parts himself so uh yea there are lots of theorys about it but its cool xD
(also quick edit: he might have powers of a artist so PAINT would be his powers i think))
