    Being born in very early 1952..looking at the film history of Phila as well as the oral from my mother who came from the south at the wartime..this film captured so much of the "feelings",..mentally, emotionally, & physically...Yes, I vividly remember the rioting & burning.

    My Father worked For The Pennsylvania Railroad for 40 years.........1945=1985.....Friend that worked at Baldwin Locomotive......Built Sherman Tanks during WWII.............cool stuff here..........

    Man never realized how deep Philadelphia history is! I knew it was extremely historical but it sounds like Philadelphia may have the deepest history in the country.

    Great show, well done and highly professional. I hope they continue on through the last quarter of the nineteenth century and into the first quarter of the 20th century I'm sure there's many fascinating things I can learn about the area where I grew up.

    young countries sometimes need these type of capitalist, but after its grown the capitalist don't stop trying to step on anyone they can to make money and that is where we are at today

    The woman's name was Elizabeth Jennings, the first Black woman to refuse to get off a white trolley. Seems to me this documentary might have given the woman the honor by naming her.

    African American was created by Jessie Jackson and friends in the late 80s. All black people in Philadelphia at this time weren't African.
