Let peace be with you all.
I came in to LowSecSys and at first was frustrating a little bit (i am pacifist).
But with just corvette i gained a lot of loot.
LowSecSys where i started to be in last days is 2 gates system.
First what attracted me when i was there is loot from ships.
One gate is heavily trapped and other is trapped in intervals but not so heavy and often it is clear.
It is system several jumps from Jita so i figured i can try some looting.
I don't like having suspect icon because technically i am stealing but in this case from pirates.
But originally i end up here because i left amarr shuttle which someone left in the beginnings of game and i took it and left in station.
Now list of stations become to pile up so i wanted just to grab that shuttle and come back to HiSecSys where i usually am.
There were so many ship wrecks with loot in them so i made home base there and made jump points near gate (from 150km away to more) so i can jump near site and scout what will i loot.
After few starter loot attempts i start to watch how they operate and when they make pause (dock in station or be outside of station but far away from gates).
Of course they podded me and destroy pod often but few attempts to loot went successful :-).
Since it is LowSecSys most of players have cloaking devices and they are not cheap (at least to me).
Mainly i targeted to scoop bodies but after that (since i am scavenger , miner , collector) i went for loot and when they make pause i salvaged wrecks.
When pirates are very active i decided to mine or do circle through asteroid belts to take out hostiles (only npc) because there is also pause when no one passing through system :-).
After just a 2-3 days (i swapped day and night with 24 h or more awake cycles) i hauled last day/night 27 Mil ISK worth goods (4 prototype cloaking and 2 advanced cloaking devices).
I left many modules since i will use them in mining or hostile npc clearing for ship equipping.
After initial presentation of myself to pirates (they noticed i am warping in and out , hahaha) they several times just let me scoop loot or i manage to warp away before they could destroy ship i am managing.
Also i came to idea to contract back loot players lost in system (did some screenshots and pasted in paint to know which is from whom).
In between jumps and "empty" play game time i play Project Discovery hahaha.
~20 Mil ISK per day is not for throw away.
Also met some players on both sides (friendly/pirate/hostile).
AFK is not an option in LowSecSys.
Went to bathroom for 5 min once and NPC spawned and took out the Venture.
My mistake (didn't brought drones which i trained to take out frigates and destroyers and when i am present even cruisers).
HiSecSys is ok but LowSecSys will push you to use tactic , pay attention , have experience in dangers , and become more normalized with dangers in eve online.
Let peace stays with you all.

    Great video.
I have been considering moving to low sec. Currently on the edge in high sec.
My next purchase was either the Blockade Runner or Deep Space Transporter.
I will start looking at nearby low sec systems for a quiet spot.

The most accurate point you made - is about the Challenge of going to Low Sec. THAT is the reason to go - for the Challenge.
Now - the problem with Low Sec - is that there are all these little things that you can do to keep from getting ganked - but - after a while - all those little things - become work. I've gone down to Low Sec and done mining there - but - it's a constant problem where you have to think about anyone and everyone that comes into you system. That means you need to modify what you are doing and the way you are doing it - just because another player entered your system.
As long as you are doing it for the Challenge of doing it - it's fun - but if you are just trying to run missions or mine some ore - it's a lot less of a pain in the ass up in High Sec.
Now - one of the things I have done - is to adopt some of the things I did in Low Sec to what I do in High Sec. I've always got my Directional Scanner up, set to the PVP Filter and hit it now and again looking for Combat Scanner Probes ... If someone's using Combat Scanner Probes - they are looking for other ships - and that may well mean you.
So - one of the things you can do - in preparation for going down to Low Sec - is start thinking about all those little things you'll need to do down there - and practice doing them up in High Sec. Make them part of your Habitual Actions. The way you always do things. If you just can't stand to do that any more - then don't bother going down to Low Sec. If you can - then - when you think you're ready - give it a shot. That or just go on down with a high tolerance for getting blown up.
One of the things you want to think about though - besides insuring your ship - is to get a Jump Clone - so that any Implants you have are nice and safe in case you get podded.
    .

I spent many days, countless hours in lowsec and doesn't matter where I went - Derelik, Aridia, Genesis, Sinq Laison, I would always see people roaming and patrolling it over time, not to mention gatecamps working 18-24 hours a day in every entrance or ,,choke'' system. I cant imagine how anyone, except few chosen coalitions that have numerous pilots able to defend such systems could visit LS, not to mention living in there. Hiding from pirate squads every 4-5 minutes is much more exhausting than having to run missions in HS. Lowsec looks like kind of a wasteland where every fish is hunted by 10-15 sharks that made hunting in LS their 2nd job and unless this fish is in swarm or has decent teeth, it has no chance to survive on a long term. It's sad people made it this way, but I'm affraid the only truly viable option for solo player is highsec and even then you have to be aware of popular places like trade hubs, mission hubs or systems like Uedama/Esescama/Odin.
However, maybe there is a miracle system that is rather calm and doesnt have 24/7 camps like 95% of LS. Trying to live on my own with my own resources and my own medium-cheap ships could technically be possible, but it propably requires much effort and months of pvp-evading skills training.

      Here are some tips:
1.) Don't do stuff that you find boring, find what you would like to do in eve and try it. As you play you will try lots of different stuff from pvp to hauling and once you find something you really want to do get good at it(train skills and practice). I'm saying this because eve is sandbox and it is up to create content. If you want to do pvp you can start focusing on it on day 1
      for example.
      2. )Find newbie friendly corp that likes to train new people in ways of eve(EvE university is popular one, they even hold lectures), lots of corps are chill vets that like to help out new players.Social aspect of eve is very important for your experience especially when you start off. Once you learn the ropes of game then you can try to do stuff solo. You will have insane amount of questions from how to manage your ui, which skills to train to how to even move around, so it helps to have corp that will help you out. Also don't get discouraged if you end up in bad corp just move on and find another one.
3.) You won't be able to avoid pvp, so get used to it.
      4. ) Eve is played on long haul so it might be good idea to start of with omega because of point 1.)
5.) Learn from mistakes and don't be afraid to fail. Only by trying you will really learn. one example www.eveproguides.com/the-noob-pvp-challenge/
6.) Read everything and google what you what you need to know, as long you play you will do this.

I find the idea that lowsec is 'safer' than low is hilarious. Lowsec is a place where you'll get dropped by supers for daring to fly something cruiser or bigger. Mining is a near-impossibility because you can't bring boosts on field, which cuts your yield in nearly half, and you get almost no reward for all your risk, unlike null, where you get ALL the reward, and have less risk than highsec...

    • @ABendzify
      @ABendzify Před 4 lety

use the star map, there are statistics options there for viewing traffic in system for in space or docked pilots, ship kills in last hour/day. Avoid pipe systems, which are systems which there is only one direction of travel (A to B then to C with no other option).

No cloaking with an Alpha Toon. However if you learn how to create safe spot in space I don't see why not. Watch the local channels and spam the scanner key. Hi-tail it when people come into the system, that's what I do. And do not go back to the same site you were at especially if your ratting and bolted with wreck at the site. Other that are looking for an easy kill look for that sort of thing.

Low sec you have 0 safety than any of the other 2. I lost 10 times more isk than I ever lost in null. Living in low sec made me poor so I could barely afford to do anything. Even fixing the damn Faction war I would still never pick low sec.

Depends on the wormholes, some can stay open for up to 48 hours. However, their stability can be disturbed by ships passing through them, eventually making them collapse. I highly recommend watching tutorials and reading walkthroughs before venturing into wormholes. You really wanna know what you're doing in there.
